It's BAAAAAAACK! The Potato pizza (formerly The Patate)
    Kim S.

Every visit to SPIN! Pizza reaffirms why it's one of my go-to spots for casual dining. From the moment you walk in and get in line, the staff make you feel genuinely welcomed--friendly greetings, efficient ordering, and helpful recommendations set the tone right away. On my most recent visit, I was thrilled to see the return--albeit temporary--of their legendary (IMO) Potato Pizza. This favorite hasn't been on the regular menu for a while, and its reappearance felt like a mini celebration, as it's absolutely crave-worthy. If I had one request for the SPIN! team, it's this: please bring the Potato Pizza back permanently. It's too good to be a limited-time indulgence. With great food and excellent service SPIN! continues to hit the mark. Here's hoping that potato pizza becomes a regular guest at the table again soon.

Spin Pizza is full service spot. CYOP - 7 inch with Italian Sausage and unlimited lemonade refills was good.

This was my first time at Spin!, perhaps trying their pizza. I really enjoyed their pizza and salad, what I ordered was a Supreme Mini Mia Detroit Style substituted the italian sausage and pepperoni with chicken and jalapeno then Sonoma salad. Both items were delicious! The crust was crispy which I forgot to ask them to do but it came that why so I am super happy. The employees were extremely helpful and willing to cater to customers. Even though it was basically sit down and take out feels. All this made the atmosphere welcoming with pizzeria vibe.

This restaurant is in the neighborhood of the corbin IN Park, which is a great place to find multiple restaurants are on there, but this is one of the best pizza options that you can find. There is plenty of parking so don't have to worry about that. This place has great seating available for a large group of people a lot of beer, options and plenty of pizza options your family style pizzas are amazing. Love their marinara sauce. Their stuff is amazing. I strongly recommend to go try that place. Their service is outstanding. You would see plenty of people helping you for everything that you do very organized I would say.

We ordered two mini Mia specials, both with Detroit style pepperoni pizzas and a Greek salad and a caesar as the sides. The service was great, you order and pay at the counter then get a number and your receipt to take to the table. They have some beer and soda options, and the gelato case is located conveniently next to the register. There's a small side patio that looks to be dog friendly, and plenty of seating inside. Service at the table was much quicker than I expected for the Detroit style pizza. The salads were fresh, well made and not over dressed. The pizza was CHEESY (I took double the lactaid). I took half of it home and finished it the same night.

Spin is a great option for casual lunch and dinner! If you're craving a pizza and salad combo, the Mini Mia is for you (and my personal favorite). Half a salad, and a personal pizza with crispy, delicious crust and a variety of toppings and combos to choose from. The 8 color salad is one of my favorite restaurant salads - it is packed full of add-ins and compliments the pizza so well. Service is casual - order at the counter and then find a seat! I appreciated that despite the more casual setup, our drinks were still consistently topped off and staff were really friendly and helpful.

Spin used to be my go to spot for pizza when I lived in K.C. so now whenever I'm in town visiting, I make an effort to go. There only used to be one but now they have about ten locations in the MO and KS area. I went with my kids to the Corbin Park location in December for dinner around 6pm and they were busy. You basically come in, order and pay at the register and you're given a number so you can seat yourself where you want. The line to the register was long but it moved fairly steady. We ordered the chicken cobb salad, pesto chicken and 3 meat pizzas. It was hard to find an empty clean table but we wiped one off. The food came quickly and was so amazing. They never seem to disappoint. But I am so sad to see that the tri-hummus they used to have on the appetizers menu is gone.....it was so good. I gave them 4 stars since the restaurant wasn't clean. If you haven't been to Spin I recommend you try them out.

They're popular for a reason! Sour cream crumb cake is absolutely worth the calories. Moist and tasty and lots of crumble on top. I always order my favorite Gao Wen tea (Hugo tea brand), it's got a deliciously complex flavor and with a splash of cream and stevia there's no better cup in town. If it's too hot for tea you'll find me sipping a cold local kombucha.

My Favorite Breakfast Spot -- and Ode to My First Dog, Layla…read more McLain's Market has easily become my favorite breakfast place in KC. It's got that ideal coffee shop & chill vibe -- during the week you'll see adults working quietly on laptops, and on weekends it turns into a mix of families, kids, and regulars who clearly love the place. The staff is always friendly, and the self-serve water station is a nice touch. Coffee: I've tried the lattes twice and the Salted Market Cold Foam Cold Brew (Sway Coffee Roasters cold brew + market syrup cold foam) once. Both are good -- not life-changing, but solid. I actually don't come here for the coffee; I come for the food. Breakfast: Quiche (Veggie or Bacon & Sausage) - Comes with a side of parmesan arugula salad. The veggie version surprised me -- I usually go for meat, but this one wins for balance and flavor. The meat version is good too, just a bit salty. Veggie: 4.5/5 | Meat: 4/5 The Farm Sandwich - Scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, veggies, cheddar, poblano spread, and avocado on a croissant. That croissanty, buttery base and poblano spread: Absolute chef's kiss. My mom and I both love this one -- buttery, filling, and comforting in every bite. 5/5 Pepper Jack Burrito - Scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, pepper jack cheese, and serrano sauce. Great kick from the sauce! If they toasted the wrap, it'd be a perfect 5/5 instead of 4/5. Chorizo Bowl - Over-easy egg, chorizo, sweet potatoes, quinoa, black beans, avocado, green onion + charred salsa. I'm usually not a quinoa fan (it's the "brown rice of health food"), but somehow they make it amazing. Sweet, savory, hearty -- the kind of dish that makes you forget it's healthy. A perfect brunch bowl. 5/5 -- honestly should be 6/5. Bakery Items: Carrot muffin and cinnamon donut -- both are light, perfectly sweet, and just the right size. 5/5 Layla's Last Breakfast This place also has sentimental meaning for me. On the day I had to say goodbye to my dog, Layla, I bought her breakfast from McLain's -- biscuits and gravy, and The Farm sandwich. That was her last meal before the vet came to our house. I'll never forget that she left feeling full and loved. So yeah, McLain's isn't just a café to me -- it's comfort, consistency, and a piece of my heart.

Fireball (Underground) - Italian meatballs + chili + cheddar + peppers. It's messy, it's spicy, it's worth every napkin. Soups are underrated (baked potato and chicken pot pie are winners). Bread choices are limited, but they nail the texture.
