Choose your own topping, thin crust pizza

Tried out MOD Pizza for the first time and was pretty much pleased and will likely return. We each ordered our own MOD size pizza, picking our own toppings. I tried out the cauliflower crust and it was pretty good, next time I will try the gluten free. The toppings all seemed fresh and my husband's choice of Greek salad was to his liking. The restaurant was clean and causal. The noise level was good and the servers were nice as well. The prices are affordable for the quantity. I rated a 4 because I felt my pizza needed a bit more time being cooked where as my husband's pizza was perfect. It could've just been the cauliflower crust.

Tonight was a little disappointing as we arrived to purchase some pizza. As I was the first to pull up, arrived a family member, then the last family arrived. All three cars pulled up, as we are pulling up an employee inside the building is showing dissatisfaction of our arrival. I understand that you're closing in 10 minutes, but business is business, the fire was still on it's still hot, you don't even know if people are taking it to go or staying. But the facial reactions, the body language that we can see through the window was enough for us to notice and take our business across the street to Meddys. I am in customer service myself and there's been numerous times. People come when we are about to close and all I can do is help them with the best customer service possible. Very disappointed in the workers there and how they responded.

I stopped in with a friend for a quick Saturday afternoon lunch, and was pretty impressed with Mod! This was my first visit to a "build your own" type pizza shop, and the service was kind and patient while I picked out my order. Ultimately, I settled on sharing an Italian Chop salad and building my own Mod (11') pizza. I love all the toppings available! And, being able to include whatever your heart desires without additional charges. I felt it was great value for a ~$10 pizza. The crust really makes the meal - thin and crispy, but still substantial enough to hold a lot of toppings. The salad was also good, and I loved the addition of chickpeas. The location has plenty of seating, has a patio, and was busy but quiet enough I could still catch up with my friend. The decor is very cute as well. Would definitely recommend!

Mod 11" Create Your Own with Chicken, Veggies and Roasted Garlic - Mmm!

This new location served up one of the best pizzas I've had in quite some time and efficient service during my opening day dine-in lunch experience. My "create your own" 11" pizza on original crust ($9.87) included my choice of any or all of their 40 toppings and eight finishing sauces. It was prepared efficiently with a bake time of about 12 minutes. It tasted great, with a delicious, crunchy crust and plenty of tasty, evenly distributed toppings. I liked that topping options included several sauces, several cheeses, roasted garlic and roasted broccoli. Four crusts were available - original, thick crust, cauliflower and gluten-free. The dining area was clean. I also noticed a patio. The MOD app helps to keep the price reasonable with offers and loyalty points. Overall, very nice.

So make your own pizza isn't exactly a *new* thing, and there are other options that do this sort of thing, but MOD Pizza offers up a fresh alternative. Much like great bread makes great sandwiches, the crust is what really makes a great pizza. MOD is spinning fresh-made dough and loading it absolutely any way you could want it. Meat lover? MOD will work that up. Veggie only? Yeah, lots to choose from. Depending on your social calendar, I'd suggest some roasted garlic on your pie. All the meats are invited to the toppings line and non-meat choices are varied and plentiful. Artichoke hearts, anyone? Cheeses range from your standard mozzarella to Parmesan all the way to Gorgonzola, and all of these items make a signature pizza. At the very least, you can customize it to your heart's (tummy's?) content and enjoy your own creations. Pizzas come mini (like kids' size), MOD (a single 10" pie), or mega (a 14" variety) and you simply won't leave hungry. Prices are competitive and parking is plentiful, order via the app or online, or come and hang out while you enjoy!

First off, my family LOVES pizza! I mean really, who doesn't? I do have my favorite spots and am very particular but we had a coupon and wanted to check it out and see what it's all about! It's basically like pizza's version of chipotle where you go down the line and tell them what toppings you would like. That was pretty fun. It feels like any other counter order restaurant-laid back, and decor was nice.I did find they skimped on the cheese so I asked for more at the end and my pizza looked way better and cheesier than my husbands. The crust is OK. I like thin crust, and it's not bad, it's just nothing to write home about. The options of toppings was pretty good as well with a wide variety. It's a counter serve restaurant, which frankly I prefer anyways because it's so much faster. My kids loved watching them make the pizzas too. They could use maybe some kids coloring sheets. The pizza was out in maybe 10 minutes? It was good enough for what it is and the price. I also got the no name cake and i feel like they literally took a little Debbie and wrapped it up in foil? It was fine. It's way way better than Pie Five- i really don't like that place. I told my husband I would probably come again with a coupon, but without one I would choose one of my favorite spots instead.

Delicious pizza, unlimited toppings, and a very friendly staff. We also got the garlic bread which was fine but the No Name cake was surprisingly tasty! I will be back!

Some of the people in our group thought some of their dishes were a little bland, but I liked everything I tried. We had the okra and fried pickles for appetizers. The pickles have a very crunchy breading and a dip that was delicious! The okra is very good - especially with the dip for the pickles. We also tried the biscuits with butter and peach compote. They were great! Unique, fluffy, flavorful, and definitely worth a side order. I ordered the chicken and waffles with the peach. It was a good dish. The chicken tenders had a little bit of a spice that I didn't totally love, but they were still good. I also tried my friend's shrimp and grits, and they were delicious. The person next to me got meatloaf and brussels sprouts sprouts and really enjoyed it! He was practically licking the plate! Everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks as well. The only one I tried was the espresso martini, and it was very tasty! I would definitely go back to Tupelo Honey the next time I'm in Lenexa.

We were both so pleased with our meals we didn't want to eat to excess, so our server offered to send our dessert home with us. The service, ambience and food were all wonderful. We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.
