They've been one of my favs for a long time. Moved into the area so did a delivery order. I know not to order wings to go but these were even more soggy than most and couldn't even tell they were Buffalo. But here is the worst thing set, $8.99 for 4 wings. Straight silly and unjustified. Avoid this Gambino's at all costs. Travel another 15 minutes west to the location in Baldwin City where they actually care about their customers. We arrived at 8:10 specifically for the salad bar and to share a pizza. When we walked in a worker asked another group if they were done with the salad bar. They said yes and then I said well actually we were going to get the salad bar. The worker said "we close that at eight". The location doesn't close until 9 and the salad bar was still set up. Let me start by saying, I really enjoy this pizza. The last several visits, though, my order has not been ready when indicated. This last time, just now, being prepared for the same thing, I actually came in a little bit late...and was STILL told it would be at least 7 more minutes (ended up being a total of 20 minutes beyond my pick-up time). This was okay, but I had noticed two pizza boxes sitting there waiting when I arrived (I ordered 3 things). Sure enough, when the third thing was finally finished, it was piled on with the other two, and I was given my order. I get it, they forgot one of my items, mistakes happen, but there was no explanation whatsoever, just "it's gonna be at least 7 more minutes." Oh, and they were not busy at all. The entire 10-15 minutes I spent there, there was no one inside and only one person came in to pick up an order. Still good pizza, but a little better customer service (hey, sorry, we forgot to start one of your items, but it'll be ready soon) would go a long way. read more

We are lifelong Gambino's Pizza fans. Everywhere we have lived has had one close by. This one is a little smaller than all of the others, so if you are dining in don't expect a wide open floor. But, the staff is always VERY friendly and the pizza is always REALLY good. They work quickly and will get you in and out quickly. If you are dining in they do have a little salad bar, as well. Across the street from Pizza Hut. I'm satisfied with the service and food here. I ordered the cheese stick pizza and it was amazing. Cheese was beautifully cooked and golden. It wasn't falling off the pizza when I picked it up. Nicely cut. Seasoned perfectly. All around very good. Salad bar even though I didn't have anything from there was stocked and ready. Only mini problem I had was I had no clue what sizes of pizzas they offered. I didn't find out until after my order honestly. The sizes are above the register? I feel like they need to be more noticeable like maybe somewhere lower more visible? read more

On Tuesday's, they have a Beat the Clock special, where starting at 5:00pm, a single topping large costs you what time you order. I have to start with this. if your a local here in gardner you already know that the last longest wait in town for pizza delivery is Gambino's at least an hour from the time you place the order, but in all fairness since Casey's stopped delivering in our area it is the best tasting pizza delivery option so we adjust and only order delivery when we know we can wait an hour. So tonight was aliitle different in that me and my wife are sick with whatever horrible cold is going around and decided to order fairly early ordered at 6:30 they said you're looking at 7:30 delivery we were of course not surprised, when 8pm rolled around however i asked my wife if they had contacted her about our order, so she called and they said " oh were a bit behind so you're looking at another 20 minutes, when my wife said our pizza will cold by then it's barely Luke warm when it takes the normal hour so she said we don't want cold pizza and when it finally gets here and it's cold what are you prepared do about it if we don't want it Since it'll be 2 hours since ordered before it gets here.HAND TO GOD this was the response "okay thanks for calling " hung up. I IMMEDIATELY called back asked for a manager who you guessed it. was there but not available. I said cancel our order we don't want your cold pizza refund my money, he said ok let me get the manager,on hold same kid comes back on and says what's the name on the order manager will cancel it for you, then the best part, the snide comment in the end " this means your not getting your pizza and we're just gonna drive the pizza back here instead, i was angry but it was abundantly clear they don't care about customers so I said yeah I know and ended the call. I was angry and didn't want to go off on some kid but damn to insinuate I was trying to get a free pizza this whole time!! Decent pizza, Horrible management. EVERY time we have came either dine in or carry out there is only high school staff and place is backed up. I feel sorry for the "manager" (16 years old) that he's left to run a business while the owners are no where to be found. And the food is expensive for the service. Pictures are deceiving you order wings and get 4 and picture show like 6-8 wings. Owner is very RUDE, get the feeling that it's her way or no way. Ordered oven-roasted wings and the buttery calzone for carryout. Unfortunately they had made a mistake with my order and my calzone wasn't prepared. The difference between this place and many others? They immediately admitted their mistake, told me when it would be ready, and kept my wings warm. I believe they also discounted my calzone price. Everyone there was courteous, friendly, and professional. Kudos to this place for their outstanding service!!! What about the food, you're asking???? Yum! I'm not a huge fan of pizza but we ordered it on Halloween night to be delivered to our new house as we were handing out candy. They told us it would be between an hour and an hour and a half before it got delivered because they were swamped since it was Halloween, but we got ours in about forty-five minutes. My husband has been ordering from here since we moved home 6+ yrs ago. The food is good and everyone has been really nice. The owners were so helpful with my allergen and went out of their way to look up the ingredients in what I wanted . So maybe today I got a new employee. Good pizza.....for gardener. Cheap but lunch is too busy.

I usually have to get 2 pizzas to feed my family. Surprisingly, the 1 18" did the trick. We got a half meat & half veggie. The cheese was awesome, stringy & gooey, unlike other typical pizza joints where the cheese seems like plastic when it cools. When we were done we were so stuffed there was no way we could've eaten another one. The Veggie pizza was very tasty & savory. The amount of sauce was just perfect. The staff was very pleasant even though we came in 30 min before closing. This is definitely a place to come back to even though it is a good 15 min drive for us. read more

Parm chix wings are very good if u don't order on a friday. I ordered 24wings took 90mins for delivery and the wings looked boiled with butter poured on it with no garlic or parmesan taste. Went for lunch a few weeks ago with some work people. The lady at the counter was very nice. Pizza was ok, but nothing special. Decided to try it for dinner last week and had it delivered. With tax and tip for delivery it came to almost thirty for a "large". The pizza that showed up at my house was almost inedible. My husband jokes that he loves pizza so much he'll even eat bad pizza. This place was truly nasty! We had spent a majority of the day/evening at soccer games and were looking for a family friendly pizza place to get in and out of quickly. We got to this place about 1.5 hours before they closed on Sunday evening 8/17. Ordered sodas, garlic cheese bread, and two pizzas for our family. All of the flavors of soda were broke, we had to get refunded our money which the idiot teenager with his fly open behind the counter couldn't understand. Then i asked about our bread on several occasions and they said it would be right out and we would certainly get it before our pizza. At least 2-3 times we were told that. Well, that came out as soon as our pizza did, it was burnt horrible and had all but 2 shreds of cheese on each slice. Really? And the worst part about this pizza...CANNED MUSHROOMS!!! No pizza place in their right mind serves canned mushrooms on pizza. So we went on eating since we were starving and they actually closed the doors and turned off the "open" sign 30 mintues before closing, while we were still in there. But...the two teenagers working there were having a scheduled party apparently because that door certainly opened for their sloo of friends to come in and help themselves to whatever it is that they wanted. This place was terrible, will never eat here again. Way overpriced for the crap they serve you, and certainly needs better management. Don't leave your business in the hands of teenagers! read more
