Every once in a while, I like the Neapolitan style pies from here. We had recently tried a new beer that we thought would be perfect with pizza, so we opted for a couple of pies from Spin. We went with the cinque formaggia, and the roasted portobello and crimini mushroom. The pizzas were fresh out of the oven when I arrived to pick them up- even had to wait a couple minutes for one of them! Wonderful flavors that went with our wild sage beer perfectly. It'd be nice to have the option for delivery, especially given the cost. Two pizzas came to nearly $26, so it's right in line with other pizza places, but with much less of the corporate feel and flavor. read more

Spin! Bravo! I and three coworkers went for lunch. I had a Caesar salad and the Mia Pizza (pepperoni). The staff were well trained and on point. We were served by other servers as our waiter was overwhelmed by the crowd. We didn't have to wait for anything, drinks, questions, additional requests etc. The Caesar salad was fresh, the romaine crisp and the dressing delicious. Usually our nights at spin are super fun and we love ordering the potato pizza, pesto pizza and the cheese. However choosing takeout there tonight was quite underwhelming due to the way that my salad was packed. Once I reached my hand in the bag to grab the salad I was met with a chunk of avocado on my hand and smeared over the box (I wiped most of it off before the picture). Wow! This food is great on all the levels. The 8 Color Salad had an amazing red wine vinaigrette. The stuffed meatball app was smothered in a perfect marinara sauce with oven baked cheese. The personal pizzas were thoroughly topped in our requested styles. My mini Mia combo (6" pizza with salad or soup) was ready about 12 minutes after I ordered at the counter, and was delicious! The 8 color salad had a good variety of fresh veggies, and my pizza was perfectly cooked, with plenty of toppings, a delicious sauce, and a tasty crust. The service at the counter was friendly and fast, the server was friendly and attentive, and the manager stopped by my table to make sure everything was okay. The dining area was nicely done and spotless, with cool background music. It's too bad more restaurants aren't run this well. read more

At seven o'clock on a Tuesday evening the joint was less than half-full so we had our choice of lots of tables, but not a single one of them was clean. After we had ordered and been seated for five minutes or so a server came with water and I had to ask him to please wipe down our table. Later we would ask for extra plates so we would not have to eat our pizza off of our dirty salad plates, but they never came. The staff here all seem really friendly but they completely miss on some of the basics of table service. The food here is tasty but a bit on the pricey side and a liter carafe of bulk Chianti runs $18.95. Spin is very trendy in Johnson County and they've begun to franchise the operation around the country. I'm certain they'll do well but they will have to do it without any more of my money. read more

I also, liked the inside decor and the whole "vibe" I got--which caused me to give it the 5th star. My husband and I, plus my two young children had dinner here, but it would easily be appropriate for a casual date night. Who ever chose the music that was playing (Verve Remixed), should get a raise. We had dinner this evening and the food was fresh and delicious. The highlight of our visit was the awesome service from Carson. He had never helped us in the past but we'll watch for him in the future. He was at the table asking if we needed anything and immediately took care of our request. We ordered curbside for the first time in a while around 4:30 we arrived and shortly called to inform the staff we had arrived and parked in spot 5 not even a minute later, a young man with a blue shirt delivered our 2 pizzas out to us and was kind enough to put them in my back seat so my A/C wouldn't get them cold , he complemented my truck ( 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn) and said he was working for his soon! We gifted him a few dollars as a tip for himself to keep but instead said he wouldn't be taking it for himself since he was a manager but that he was going to tip it to his employees. Salads are the best I've ever had! Been all over the country, from LA, nothing compares. Get it with the flatbread and hummus, you just might end up a regular salad eater! Our drink orders were messed up as well. Recommend you hire adults to interact with the customers. I cannot believe I haven't been here sooner. What a great cheap date place or everyday dining. I went with my teenage daughter for a date and it is perfect for us both. I was able to get my wine and she was able to get gelato. Service is so great and fast. For sure sign up for their Spin club deals, you score free stuff fast and $5 just for signing up. I was skeptical because I envisioned ordering at the counter then sitting down and getting everything thrown at me at once but it is very similar to sitting and ordering. Our drinks came first then app followed by salads and main. It comes faster than typical but not so fast you feel overwhelmed or rushed. Everyone chips in too. So you are never without something. We started with the lemon ricotta dip and flat bread. Flat bread was a bit salty but the spread was so light and fresh that it balanced well. So delicious. Then I had the 8 color salad. It is out of this world. The tomatoes are a little blistered and so full of flavor. It was dressed perfectly. My daughter had her go to Caesar and it was gone in the blink of an eye, giant parmesan shavings. Then I had the eggplant. I admit when it came out I was not thrilled at the size versus the price but I was full when it was all said and done. I think the flat bread helped. The eggplant is not breaded, just bare eggplant in a nice red sauce topped with cheese. So yummy. My daughter had the cheese mia, it was cooked golden and again it was gone before I finished anything. Love this place and so happy to make it our monthly date place because I have a million more things I want to try. With wine, app, meals and gelato plus tip we spent $40. Ive loved the food here in the past, and my family has gone there & had a great experience, so i decided to order online for delivery. I ordered a pizza without cheese, because i try not to eat dairy products, and when my food came it had cheese on it. I was pretty disappointed to know i couldn't eat it, and I ordered pretty late so the restaurant was closed by the time i tried to get a refund. I visit this Spin! often because I work across the street. But that's not really what keeps me coming back. The food is always tasty. I usually get the Mini Mia with a salad and a small pizza - healthier than just pizza. I'm doing this review to give a shout out to Mikayla, who usually takes my order. She is always cheerful and helpful. I usually order gluten free. Last week I forgot to mention it, but she asked me because she remembered! That's great customer service. I was happy to see this new location of SPIN! open near my workplace. There really aren't a lot of places in proximity to my workplace to go for lunch on those rare occasions when I can pull myself away. Since they have opened, I have had two separate experiences with them, one dine in and one carryout. The dine in experience went just fine. Just like all the other SPIN! locations, you wait in line and place your order and then it is brought to your table. It worked fairly efficiently as it usually does. The food is a mirror image of what you receive at all the SPIN! locations. They seem to have things pretty automated so that the food experience is replicated at each place. Some items that I like at SPIN! include their flatbreads and their salads. Salads are large servings and have nice high quality greens. The carryout experience was ok, but not great. We had called ahead a couple of hours, so they had plenty of lead time to be organized. The young lady who we first spoke to when we arrived to pick up our order was absolutely clueless. She claimed there was no order for us and asked when we had called it in. Then someone else came over and helped out. Our order was there, but it was not yet packaged to go. The first young lady then proceeded to package our stuff, but didn't know what items were what and wasn't comparing to the receipt to be sure all items were there. I had to ask her to stop and do that. Sure enough, she had missed some of our items. I'll probably frequent this location every now and then. It's definitely a great location for me and the food is reliably good and fast. I may think twice before ordering carryout from this location in the future. read more

My wife absolutely loves this place. And, while I don't hate it, I can most assuredly say I don't love it. Perhaps I haven't found my dish yet? This is usually what I chalk it up to when "everybody and their cousin" seems to love a joint while I do not. The ice cream is very nice. Let that be your initial hook. You might also love the food? I've been twice now. Traveling in on business. Will be staying in the area about 6mos. First trip several folks on our team got sick. I figured I'd give it another try by myself. Got a BLT Salad with Extra Chicken. Really disappointed, the chicken was lunchmeat. Maybe I had my hopes higher having eaten at Brewbakers next door the day before. I said I had a dairy allergy and I was just picking off some cheese that had accidentally fallen in. She said no. I will bring you a new one. REALLY good pizza, but dont come expecting papa johns or dominos style pizza (Spin is better, AND so much better for you). There are many choices, variety of excellent ingredients to try, vegan and gluten free options, and an excellent atmosphere. Their customer service is also excellent - quick to make up for any mistakes and will give you both the wrong and the right pizza if one was made! Been here several times and carried out as well. I don't understand the popularity of this concept and this location, in particular. First, the service: For some reason, they can never get the pacing of appetizers and the main pizza correct. One waits for an appetizer and then the pizza shows up a couple minutes later. I understand that some of the appetizers are based on pizza crusts and thus have similar cooking times but learn to pace things. I've never had exactly bad service but I've never had exactly good service either. I tend to tip quite heavily but I strongly dislike the way they do the check here. You pay up front and then then they give you the receipt to sign at the end of the meal. Paying cash is a pain, so most people pay with a card which leaves the whole process feeling like a bit of a cash grab for a tip at the end. I always tip servers but I dislike when it's so obvious. Secondly, the cost. I went last night and had a pizza and a half salad with an iced tea. It was $23 before tip. That's not a lot for a quality dinner but here is the problem... The food is totally inconsistent from visit to visit (even location to location) and almost always underwhelming. My salad last night was room temperature, which is warmer than I'd prefer. The pizza always feels overlooked because it doesn't have a whole lot of cheese on it. I realize they are going for a different style of pizza here but the pizza is often incredibly dry save for the grease on top. The only reason I went again last night was that I was too lazy to go elsewhere. I won't do that again, particularly with better restaurants opening up the area. read more

I told them it was my first time there, and the guy behind the bar walked me through my take out order. Got home, and it was just as he said it would be. Got the Mia lunch special. So discouraging I'm housesitting for someone that doesn't eat meat but I went by and ordered an entrée size salad of the 8 color with added chicken ..... 30 minutes later I opened it no chicken whatsoever. Somebody else had told me spin always messes up their order now I believe them. I was utterly disappointed with the whole experience here. Literally from start to finish, it was just below standards. First of all, this location is fairly new so I'll cut some slack. When we entered and stood in line to order, there were a lot of other people who came in behind us. We had to let them go in front of us because the menu is way too big. And by too big, I mean there are too many choices. I'm just not a fan of a restaurant who thinks they can do that many items so well. Spin isn't one of them anyway. We ordered three mini pizzas so we could all try each others'. I got the artichoke and caper mini, my husband ordered a meat pizza of some kind, and our friend got the tomato and goat cheese with basil. First of all, they got our order wrong and had to redo one of the pizzas. That's fine, but it took a while for the new pizza to come out. The bottom line is that none of the pizzas were anything to rejoice about. All the toppings were averagely flavored. They didn't seem as fresh as I was expecting and I wasn't a big fan. For close to $25 for two mini pizzas and two fountain drinks, I'd rather go to Waldo pizza. So for me, this was just a lackluster experience. I did enjoy the atmosphere and I eyed some gelato. SPIN! is absolutely one of my favorite lunch spots or for carry out dinners. I skip the soups and salads, and get one of the great sandwiches or pizzas. I've tried four of the sandwiches and three of the pizzas, and honestly, I can't pick a front runner. I really like the crust of their pizzas, and they come with just the right amount of sauce and toppings. If your a cheese nut, then the formaggi is for you. It's topped with six different cheeses. Veggies you say? Get the verdure arrosti. It's topped with too many roasted veggies for me to list. Carnivore? Then the carni is for you. Meat, meat, and more meat. You can't go wrong with the sandwiches either. I've had the roast beef, Italian sub, spicy Italian beef, and the turkey with Asiago and pesto. Like I said, I can't pick one or the other as my go to. I've never been a big fan of the way you order. I'd rather it be at the table, but that doesn't keep me from coming back.
