This has become our new go-to location of SPIN, but admittedly, we are long-term fans of this franchise! I could go on and on about how good the pizza is here (and, it really is!!), but I'll never forget that the moment I realized SPIN was super legit was when someone talked me into ordering a salad, and when I did and ate it, I enjoyed it SO much that I thought, "I am legitimately happy that I ordered this salad, and barely miss the pizza I could have had!" When your salads (and yes, that's plural because I DO mean ALL of their salads - I've tried them all, multiple times!) are so tasty that they outshine PIZZA, of all things, you're making good food! And no, I'm not a "go-out-for-salad" kind of guy! Back to the pizza: I hate to bore you, but again, they are ALL amazing! My insider tip here, and it's a good one: despite any preconceived notions about gluten or cauliflower, you MUST try their cauliflower crust! A gluten-free friend talked us into this many years ago here, and we've never turned back! Well, except to try the relatively-new Detroit-style pizza (also fantastic!!). It's crispy and well-seasoned...not mushy, watery cauliflower. If you didn't know you ordered cauliflower, you'd have zero idea that's what the crust was made of when chowing down! This is, sadly, one of the last bastions of good value, and consistently good wait staff. It feels like since the pandemic, so many eateries have risen to astronomical prices (lookin' at you, $20 burger and fries!!), and can't seem to hire and/or train enough good wait staff. That is not an issue here, and it's two of the reasons this restaurant chain gets so many visits from us! This location is easy to find in a growing part of KC, but we've been pleasantly surprised how often we're able to come in during the height of lunch or dinner hour and get a seat! My ONLY knock on this or any location of SPIN that I've frequented is that it does, sometimes, feel a little humid/stuffy in the restaurant. I imagine it's due to having a blast furnace pizza oven blazing along all day, combined with the VERY busy door traffic due to the restaurant's popularity! I promise that, although it may seem it, this was NOT a paid advertisement :) Food = 5/5 Facility = 4/5 Service = 4/5 Ambiance = 3/5 Value = 5/5

The new Detroit style pizza will not disappoint! Very tasty crust and the sauce is out of this world. Also have a fantastic gelato selection.

*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW disappointing pizza crust, good flavor, very kind staff. This location has a seperate oven for GF / GF cauliflower crust pizzas, and the staff are knowledgeable & can mark an allergy on the order. we got the GF crust for the bbq chicken - soggy and soft crust but the sauce and flavor were good! The chicken pieces were really chewy but aside from that a good bite. the double pepperoni was delicious flavor wise and we got that on a cauliflower crust - no weird taste but again, soggy and soft. I did not get sick!

Mini Detroit ! Excellent ! You won't be disappointed! Order it !

If you haven't tried the Detroit style - get it ! Might be the best pizza slice in KC ! Crust was amazing / sauce was excellent overall a great spin

I got the Mini Mia with the chicken and goat cheese pizza and the BLT salad. It was delicious! Spin Pizza is always reliable and consistent. I also like that for their carry out orders, the pizza is kept in a separate pizza warming bag until pickup. The staff was super friendly today as well!

Ordered delivery from Spin Pizza in Lenexa tonight. Delivery through GrubHub was fast. We ordered the eight color salad and the chicken and goat cheese pizza, and they're both fantastic! These are two of my favorite items, and they do deliver well.

I really, really like the food here. I tasted my friend's cauliflower crust pizza and it was just as good as my Greek salad. Plus the staff all emit good hearty energy. It just feels good to be here.

    Cheese pizza

This was the worst, most disgusting pizza I have ever had. My son, my husband and I all had different pizzas and it reminds me 2 day old pizza, after it's dried out in the fridge. The crust on mine wasn't even cooked, yet the cheese was overcooked and there was barely any to be found. Add a sweet tomato sauce and get ready to feel sick.

14" pesto and chicken gluten free pizza. Crunchy base and delicious!

SPIN did a great job with my order of a 14" pesto chicken gluten free pizza. It tasted great and the crust was super crunchy. It was around $6 more for a gluten free crust and the pizza was delicious. I felt that that the chicken on the pizza was scanty. I would have loved some more evenly distributed chicken bites on my pizza. The order was delivered in minutes via Uber eats since I stay very close to this location. They provided grated parmesan and chilli flake sachets alongwith the pizza. The taste was definitely elevated after I sprinkled some of their grated parmesan on top of my pizza slices. I would definitely order gluten free pizzas from here.

Was craving pizza and stumble upon this gem. It was so good. You place and pay for your order first and they bring out your meal. The service was excellent and attentive. I like to dip my pizza in Ranch and oh man, their Ranch is homemade and so good. It's a cute place to have a lunch date or a girls luncheon. They also cater to those with gluten allergy.

Finally got to try this place after hearing my mom rave about it for the last couple of years! I love a good wood fired pizza, and this place has some awesome and unique options. I have had pizza with potato once before, but was excited to try it again here! I got the potato pizza without bacon. I also got the flatbread to share. My sister is lactose intolerant and ordered her pizza dairy free. They came up to our table after we ordered to ask if we wanted no cheese on our flatbread too which I thought was considerate! My mom loves their gluten free crust too. Regular crust was amazing as well. All of our food was delicious. I hope to try the yummy looking gelato next time!

This location is always really clean with a nice staff. It felt good to come in on a hot day to a well air conditioned environment to have some Za. The salads are also excellent and highly would suggest getting a fresh ice

Headline: by a hammer, melted by calamari, and absolutely no regrets…read more To end a perfect party weekend, nothing less than a full-blown Italian feast would do. It's been a minute since my last visit, and I'm thrilled to report that absolutely nothing has changed... and for once, that's actually a compliment. Round 1: The Liquid Diet Naturally, I kicked off my personal Tour of Italy with a couple of custom cocktails. The Elegant Marguerite: Fantastic, but don't let the name fool you. This "elegant" drink has a dark side and can cause a first round knockout. Proceed with caution. The Limoncellotini: Hands down, the absolute star of the show. Sweet, smooth, and hit every single note on the playlist. Pure perfection. Phase 2: The Carbs & Carnage Next up was the appetizer round. I went with the Calamari Fritta, served with a classic marinara and a seriously impressive pesto-style sauce. The calamari itself was light, airy, and practically melted in my mouth. For the main event, I ordered their specialty: Chicken Vincenzo. We're talking lightly breaded chicken with mushrooms, garlic, and herbs and one heck of a flavorful sauce, side-chicked by a plentiful portion of linguine. The pasta was a masterclass in al dente, and this lived up to the hype. The Service & The Happy accident. Our server was fantastic--actually took the time to pour our drinks tableside and drop some stellar meal recommendations. The place was also impeccably clean, as you'd expect. But the real test of a great restaurant is how they handle a hiccup. One of our friends ordered the eggplant parm, but the kitchen accidentally sent out chicken parm instead. Now, they absolutely would have bent over backwards to replace it, but the chicken looked so darn good they just went with it anyway. When a mistake tastes that good, you know the kitchen isn't messing around. 10/10. Will be back to get hammered by that Marguerite again.

The sugo is solid. Arnacini were a little small, but got the job done. My son and wife are big fans of the gnocchi. That dish was big. The lasagna is a smaller portion - about the size of your first, but you can tell the pasta was fresh. Spedini was tender and juice, but even with oil and herbs, there was something missing. There is a old school Italian ambiance with the decor. It works for Overland Park but just seems kind of weird in a strip mall.

I ordered online and went through their drive thru. Super easy process and the woman in the drive thru was super nice. The sandwich was very tasty. It came with a sauce on the side but I didn't need any. The Asian pickles gave me enough flavor. The steak was good, had an ok amount of fat on it, but small amounts are no issues for me. My wife tried the Chicken Alfredo and she loved it. I think it was good, maybe the one-cheese kind of Alfredo called the Cacio e Pepe, don't get me wrong, it's very good, but the chicken probably isn't fresh, and the flavor is good. Not what I'm used to. But very good. NOW, the crème brûlée was AMAZING!!!!!! Totally worth the 4.50 each. Will I eat here again, sure. I'll give some of the other foods a try...but the crème brûlée will be a staple.

My beef noodle dish ($10.99) was served just eight minutes after I ordered at the bar, where the service was accommodative and still getting up to speed on order entry. The dish had a tasty sauce, delicious noodles, a good variety of veggies and a good amount of delicious, lean, seasoned, perfectly cooked beef - nice! I only wish the portion had been a little larger. I found the dining area to be clean and recently remodeled, with sound coming from one TV tuned to a sports channel inside. I also noticed a drive-thru lane outside. They opened eight minutes late and the employees took the parking spots closest to the entrance - not cool. I also noticed a 4% credit card surcharge. Overall, I'm thinking 3.5 stars and rounding up for the delicious dish.

The Moderno salad -- with cherries, cured beef, pine nuts, and goat cheese -- was flavorful, though the espresso vinaigrette unfortunately tasted more like straight vinegar than espresso. I had the short rib bolognese and it was absolutely delicious. Others at the table ordered the Funghi pasta with creamy white sauce, which was good but could have used a bit more mushroom flavor. The Toscana chicken breast (bone-in) with sun-dried tomato sauce had that perfect "marry me" flavor -- rich and satisfying. For dessert, we had the Plate chocolate cake with raspberry and pistachios. It was a huge slice, with a rich chocolate flavor. So why not five stars? Despite having reservations, we were seated right by the kitchen where servers pick up food. Made more annoying because the restaurant had a lot of empty booths and tables in the main dining room. The upside was that the pizza ovens kept us warm, but it wasn't the most relaxing spot. There were also a couple billing issues: the tip was calculated on the post-tax total rather than pre-tax. Also our prix fixe dinners included dessert and we opted to upgrade to a different dessert from the menu. Oddly the up-charge was $6, even though the menu price difference was only $3. That said, Plate offers delicious, well-priced food (though the drinks are on the expensive side), and it's still a great choice for Italian food in Kansas City
