Ordered their lunch flatbread and it was delicious, a little different and a great value! We will do this again.

We visited for Father's Day 2026 and something changed. We called ahead to see if the restaurant was service its holiday brunch buffet. The person we spoke with said yes, but when we arrived we found out the buffet wasn't set up, but a special brunch was being served. That's okay. Miscommunications happen sometimes. Unfortunately, the food was not good. The prime rib didn't look anything like the photos. It didn't taste like prime rib, either. It was over cooked and over seasoned. The scrambled eggs didn't hold any flavor and the hash browns were cool and soggy. It was a stark difference from what we were used to. I didn't say much to our server because he was nice and doing his best. I didn't want to ruin his day. That's on me. I should have said something. I can't speak for the restaurant's regular menu. This is mostly a brunch destination for us, so I'll just recommend that you dine at your own risk if you're visiting for lunch or dinner. read more

From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and the owner's gracious greeting make you feel instantly welcomed. We were met at the door by the owner, who offered a heartfelt welcome. The space itself is beautiful, open, airy, and equipped with plenty of comfortable seating. Service was excellent, and our orders were taken promptly. The menu is diverse, offering something for everyone at fair prices. We ordered the artichoke pizza and the shrimp with orzo, along with a side Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. My wife brought home their margarita pizza and tiramisu and it was a really good meal. Paulo and Bill's put a unique spin on both of those items in a good way. The margarita pizza has pesto with a mix of red onions and balsamic along with the usual ingredients of basil, mozzarella and tomato. It was a really good combination of toppings. I really enjoyed the tiramisu. No tiramisu in KC has ever stood out to me. They're all pretty much the same, except for Paulo and Bill. Their tiramisu made a lasting impression on me and I look forward to having it again. read more

Came to Paulo and Bills for their Wine Dinner. This is an event they host that pairs wine with food. Generally the food at these signers is not on their regular menu. Flat price. The servers that work this are always so great. This time around we had a Shrimp salad, that was so delicious. Followed by a choice of either lamb or salmon. I chose the lamb. My friend chose salmon. Then double desserts. First up was macarons then a Creme Brule. Usually you get an appetizer then soup or salad then meal then dessert. So this was a little different. The portions were a side larger this time around. It's a fairly quiet place even with the dinners. The is another one coming up in May. Maybe we shall see you there. read more

Paul's Italian (Paul and Bill) has great service, good food, and a decent wine selection. However, I dined there recently (6/25/26) with my husband, dad and step-mom. The servers are wonderful. When I made the reservation, I made a note on the reservation and requested a quiet table, as a couple in our party don't hear that well. Normally, Paul and Bill complies and we have a great time. The management DID respond that they would place us at a quiet table, and to remind the hostess. Unfortunately, the hostess seated us next to a larger table, which turned out to be a group of women that were drinking and having a good time (no criticism of the women - they were out having a great time). I spoke with the hostess after we had ordered, but before our food arrived, and explained that we had requested a quiet table. There were plenty of tables open. She said she would get back to me in a minute. I never heard back from the hostess in the black pants. We finished our dinner next to the noisy table, but it was very difficult to have a conversation of our own. The food (garlic bread, salads, Chardonney, veal and chicken, and desserts) was all yummy. I just expected the hostess to at least speak with me if they couldn't accommodate our quiet table request. Ella, the waitress, was also made aware. Unfortunately, the requests all fell on deaf ears. So, please enjoy your dinner at Paulo and Bill, but assert yourself if you requested a quiet table. I should have done so, more loudly. Live and learn. read more

My husband and I went to dinner and happy hour this evening. We were immediately greeted by the host and sat at a booth. The restaurant was decorated nicely for Christmas. The server came over immediately, and she was very pleasant and attentive. My husband had one of their cocktails for the happy hour special and also a shrimp taco appetizer for the happy hour special. We then both ordered dinner and I had the pomegranate salmon with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. My husband had a special which was mango scallops. My husband was so impressed by the scallops that he ordered another entrée! My meal was good except that the mashed potatoes were cool and the waitress took care of it immediately and brought me a fresh plate. We would definitely go back again. read more

I've been here several times and usually experience great service and great food. At my most recent trip the service was certainly subpar with our waitress only visiting our table to get our drink order, food order, and to deliver the food. We were not offered refills between these visits. We were also not offered parmesan cheese for our pasta when delivered which I know they had but couldn't ask for because we weren't checked up on. They also changed the menu up slightly and, maybe I'm just a purist but, I was not a fan of the changes. They got rid of the best appetizer--the bruschetta. They also changed up the chicken parmesan so now the goat cheese tomato sauce goes on the pasta instead of the chicken and the tomato only sauce goes on the chicken not the pasta. It just made the goat cheese sauce taste more flour-y. Despite this one bad experience at Paulo and Bill I'm still giving them 4 stars because I've had such a good experience the other times. read more

We ate there 12/31/25 (new years eve) which was a busy evening. The service was excellent, and so was the food. The owner or manager checked in on all guest, and helped the servers as needed. It was obvious he is all about customer service, this coupled with delicious food made this diner excellent. We will be back. read more

The bowtie pasta was way too buttery/oily/cheesy. I asked for a side of Brussels sprouts because i wanted a veggie side that wasn't as heavy but they mixed it in the pasta and made them gross and soggy. Would not get again. Calamari app was good and my son liked his pizza. We kept being asked if wanted boxes while my son and I weren't even halfway done eating. My biggest peeve is feeling rushed when eating. Im already a slow eater so that stressed me out. That is also the reason i didn't ask for them to remake my food when they mixed in the Brussels bc I knew id that too long. I and 8 other ladies had lunch at this wonderful restaurant. I started when my kids were small and now they are in their 40's. We were seated at a round table which was perfect, and had such a nice lunch. They still have the Paulo Chicken Salad and it was perfect as well! The ambiance was great! We enjoyed a great dinner out with a party of seven ladies. Drinks: he allowed us to taste wines we were unsure of (so helpful!) and they had a ton of options! Including a chocolate martini - yum! Food: all really good! I got the Wood Fired Salmon salad with NO REGRETS! It was absolutely delicious. One friend got the Chef's Trio and loved that as well. And if you'd like to splurge on dessert, I'd highly recommend the Phyllo Brownie. It's ridiculous!! It's two brownies with a layer of chocolate chip cookie dough sandwiched in between, wrapped in phyllo pastry, served warm with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate sauce. I think it had whipped cream as well. It was a multi layered, creative, chocolate lovers dessert at it's BEST. It could easily treat 3-4 people after a large dinner. Disappointed After 20+ Years of Dining Here We've been loyal patrons of Paulo and Bill's for over two decades, and it's truly disheartening to see how much the quality has declined recently. This used to be one of our favorite spots for a consistently tasty, well-prepared meal, but unfortunately, that's no longer the case. Historically we've ordered several different entrées including; Chicken Piccata, Marsala, Pizzas, fish, but after numerous times recently going back and the food being disappointing we've begun to question the chef. The last few visits have been disappointing across the board. The food lacks the vibrant flavors and careful seasoning that once set this place apart. Even the freshness of the ingredients seems to have taken a noticeable dip. Dishes that used to have depth and character now taste bland and uninspired. We really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple underwhelming experiences, it's hard to ignore. It's a shame to watch a place we've enjoyed for so long lose its spark. We sincerely hope they can turn things around, but for now, it just doesn't live up to the standard they once set. read more

From the moment we arrived, we were seated and served with not a second of a wait. Our server was such a delight. They were very attentive and accurate. This is a lovely place to brunch on a Sunday. The decor was simple yet classic and very spacious. There's also a room towards the back for large parties that is not sectioned off by a wall but is an extension of the restaurant with interior windows that gives a feel of inclusion with the rest of the establishment. The service was beyond impeccable. They went above and beyond to make a few additions to a salad to meet our needs. Food came out hot and fresh. Prices were well within normal limits. Since we were there when they opened to have lunch the ambiance was quiet and gave us an opportunity to converse without issue. We felt that evening would be very romantic. This place is super awkward. You walk in and it's tastefully decorated and there's many folks eating there, so I was hopeful. I was greeted and seated Just fine by a cute and pleasant young lady who gave me a menu. I decided on the Lasagna, as the menu didn't have too many offerings. The price was $20 so I guess I was expecting a little side of something or a frilly piece of something, but no. Just a piece of microwaved lasagna cut in half on a tiny plate. It wasn't until after I ate it that I realized it was cut in half to help with the microwave process. Anyway as I am eating- this man comes out into the dining area and looks over at me in a condescending way. I figured he is the manager or owner by his air of conceit that I immediately felt sorry for my waitress, who was probably too young to know better. Ok! Onto the food! Besides obviously fresh out of a microwave, it lacked any true authentic Italian flavor. The sausage looked and tasted like low grade dog food and appeared dry. They address the sausage by its brand name on the menu, as if it is a source of pride for them, but I highly doubt it's a popular brand IF that sausage was really IN the lasagna The "red sauce" (Marinara) was sweet, like something I'd expect out of a Chef Boyardee can, to be honest. I feel like this place has been there so long that they just stopped caring and turned it into more of a money-grab rather than actually offering good Italian food. Apparently Paulo and Bill are under new ownership. The meal I had there tonight was one of the worst. Use to enjoy Paulo and Bill. My chicken was overcooked, tough as nails. The sauce was so lemony could barely eat it. The potatoes and carrots had zero flavor. The roasted chicken I gave my dog an hour before was more succulent and juicy. If the new owners cannot get their act together asap another restaurant will be biting the dust given their overinflated prices. The staff had all changed and although they seemed friendly the staff seemed less trained. It would be a shame to lose what once was a fine dining restaurant. read more

The appetizers are only a few dollars less then the entrée but the goat cheese bruschetta is absolutely delicious, every thing on the plate has such great flavor!! We had a wonderful meal. Their lasagne is one of the best we have had. The server was extremely good, with a can do personality. They give a generous military discount. First time in and have to say I thought the food was overpriced and bland. I had a Sicilian pizza and a Viva salad. I ordered the pizza because the first word under it to describe it was SPICY. This pizza was not spicy and was actually very sweet-I think from the caramelized onions. Good size pizza though. The viva salad which was described as a house Italian like salad had an odd sweet/dill taste to me which i didn't like at all. My wife thought her meal was also very bland (chicken piccata). Went here Sat night with my wife for dinner. We had a gift card that we were unable to use last year due to covid. Overall a really nice experience! The person who seated us did something nice and unusual, seating both my wife and I next to one another on the same side of the table instead of across from one another, making it more intimate. We had several servers, all young men, all extremely attentive and polite. Started with crab cakes and side salad and then split the Chicken Piccata. The crab cakes were really delicious with a nice sauce drizzled on them. The salads were crisp, fresh and cold. The chicken dish was very flavorful and loaded with capers, seasoned tomatoes and served with a lemon sauce. Another thing that contributed to a good evening out was the choice of music playing in the background. All these things added up to an enjoyable evening out. read more
