Their Tom Kha is outstanding, and everything is so well seasoned with flavors that always come through perfectly. We tried the Pad Kratiem Prik Tai for the first time and now it's officially a must-order every time. The garlic sauce is unbelievably good. I live in Philly but visit the area often and still think this is some of the best Thai food I've had. Cannot recommend this place enough.

And the menu comes in a little pre-designed book that they have. I ordered the pad thai, pad see ew and Thai tea. If you're not as familiar with Thai food, I highly recommend you can try these as starter dishes. Every Thai restaurant has these as staples. Each dish comes with the option of type of protein or vegetables. They offer chicken, pork, beef and tofu. You can also change the level of spiciness from no spice to mild to spicy. The pad thai was a noodle dish with peanuts on top for crunch and texture as well as a savory sauce. The pad see ew came with thicker and longer rice noodles, and a similar sauce to the pad thai with your stirred in protein. I highly recommend you should try the Thai tea as well. I think that it is just a tasty drink for any meal. Everything was very good and pretty standard. Pricing was also pretty affordable. The interior of the restaurant can seat around 30 people. There are tables adjacent to both sides of the wall of the restaurant - In four seaters. The parking lot is right outside with easy parking in the front and back of the restaurant. It is a very cozy, local place that is a little on the smaller side.

The sign on the door is correct, we do love this place on Yelp…read more We were a little nervous coming to this place but we're very surprised. We went on a Monday so nobody was inside. We were greeted at the door and were aloud to pick our seat. The ambience is such a cool Asian inspired atmosphere. Mural on the wall, little table top waterfall on the sushi station, bonsai and other nicknacks on the shelves and tv showing peaceful marine life. The menu is very sushi dense, with the whole first 3 pages being sushi. I got the shrimp tempura, dragon roll, and Philly roll with a miso soup. My partner got the green curry, miso soup and white rice. My sushi rolls were so delicious, perfectly fresh, and just so yummy. Shrimp tempura roll 9.0/10 Dragon Roll 8.7/10 Philly Roll 9.1/10 The green curry was different from what we've had in the past, it came out in more of a curry soup. It has baby carrots, onions, chicken, corn, and potatoes. It was my first time trying curry and it was pretty good. 7.8/10 Overall my experience here was nothing but positive. Seemed clean, the wait staff was very attentive, bathroom was clean, service was fast, and atmosphere was cool to look at. Definitely will end up here again, also the price was awful for all the sushi I got. I'd give this place a 9.0/10. Such a cute spot. Hope it gets the business it deserves, just try not to miss the entrance like I did.. Food 9.5/10 Ambience 9.0/10 Service 9.8/10

For 2 entrees, 1 soup appetizer, and a Thai iced tea - the bill came to $85. With tip and paying by cash, it ended up being $100 for below average food. Crazy! They also add a 4% surcharge for credit cards on top of their already ridiculous prices. One can only imagine their rent must be off the charts. Tamarind duck $45 - the duck was sooo dry and barely had much meat with each piece. Mostly bone. A lot of mixed veggies. I had so much better duck at Chinese super markets. This must be old, frozen duck and a dish that doesn't get ordered that frequently. Tom yum noodle soup $20 - literally just soup with 4 pieces of large shrimp and pad thai noodles. Lacking veggies and no other toppings to balance the dish out. Thai iced tea $6 Tom kha gai soup appetizer $9 The service was ok- was asked multiple times how we were doing and the food came out at a decent time but holy cow! Extremely overpriced for mediocre food at a casual Thai restaurant.

We decided that Basil is our official spot for whenever we meet up. The ambience is different than other restaurants on the island. The beautiful teal on the walls takes me on vacation. The food is and always has been over the top delicious. I've tried so many different dishes throughout the year and we have not had a mediocre or subpar dish yet. All the flavors to each dish are distinct and come together like a beautiful symphony in my mouth. The Patiala Goat Curry has become a favorite along with their garlic naan I tried for the first time about a month ago. The other orders on the table were Chicken Korma, Coconut Chicken Pepper Curry, Tandoori Chicken and a Stir Fry Chicken off of their Thai menu. Each and every single one of us left with a blissful heart, smile and stomach with leftovers. The staff here is always welcoming, accommodating and cater towards our palates and preferences. This restaurant remains one of my favorite spots on Staten Island. Highly recommended to dine in and experience the fresh food.

I recommend making a reservation for hibachi. Koi is BYOB (which is always a positive point for me). Koi has both a delicious sushi and hibachi menu. We enjoy Koi for both dining in and for take out. Truthfully, their avocado rolls are always some of the freshest I've ever had. I particularly enjoy their hibachi noodles and rice, finding them quite flavorful. My husband typically gets chicken and steak hibachi, and it's always cooked perfectly, regardless if we eat there or get it to go. I also love their fried cheesecake. When ordering from here, their portions are LARGE! So, we usually get two meals from one order of hibachi here. I also appreciate whenever I order to go food from where, the server repeats the order on the phone. I've honestly never had a to go menu from here that was wrong. (We order to go from here about once a week, so this is an impressive statistic in my opinion.) On the downside, their hours vary and can be unpredictable- sometimes they close a little early. At times, the service inside can be a little slow. Pros: large portions & fresh sushi Downside: varying hours & slower service when dining in Overall, we really enjoy ordering both hibachi and sushi from koi.
