    Chicken Teriyaki Sub

Staff was pleasant and quick with service. The beef barley soup had a good taste, I ate the whole thing on a 90 degree day ha. Really enjoyed my chicken teriyaki sub, fresh ingredients and very tasty.

We stopped in here for a quick lunch based on the reviews left by other customers and it didn't disappoint. We opted for some of their most popular and frequently ordered dishes starting with the coffee, pita, Lentil soup, Baklava, Kabobs, and the Gyro wrap. The service was immediate, we were greeted and acknowledged as soon as we entered and were directed to sit at any table. We didn't wait long at all after our orders were placed. The ambiance is comfy and homey, no fancy interior but clean and welcoming.

    Beef/lamb gyro

my new favorite Greek spot. now I see why it has such high ratings. I got the beef gyro and my friend got the kebab platter. it was perfectly seasoned and in a soft, warm pita. it's also an intimate small owned business which makes it great location to casually hang out. the real star of the show was the Baklava... my goodness. it was the best I had. look at the photos for the visual of the layers and delicacy of this baklava. the service was also fantastic. will be coming back!

    Eggs over easy

After living in the area for 21 years I finally decided to try Evans since I've always heard great things about it. First off it's very tiny with out much parking. We came in during lunchtime but both decided on breakfast. Our server was the owner and was very pleasant. I ordered an omelette and my buddy ordered eggs over easy. . Both were severed promptly and tasted delicious! Since everything was awesome my next step is dinner someday. I look forward to the next time!

Tropical salad, chicken kebab, and chicken noodle soup.

Tasty pancakes for breakfast & yummy Greek food for lunch. Their hummus is exceptional. If they sold it by the jar I'd buy it weekly lol

When we arrived, we met the owner, and she was very kind and welcoming. She came around to check on us during the meal, which added a nice personal touch. The portions here are huge. I ordered the Asian chicken salad, and even after eating a good amount, I still had half left to take home. Someone else in our group had the Jack Daniels burger, and others ordered hero sandwiches. Everything looked good, and it seemed like everyone at the table enjoyed their food. Service was pretty good overall, and the desserts and cakes in the display case looked excellent like the kind of place that's been around for a long time and takes pride in its baking. All in all, large portions, friendly ownership, and a solid diner experience. I'm giving Park Place Diner 4 stars.

Stepping into this 1952 Jerry O'Mahony railcar is like a total time warp. The decor is wonderfully retro, featuring photos of Keyport from the turn of the 20th century. It's comfortable inside--about 15 tables and 10 stools--and remarkably clean. The service was inviting and friendly; my food came out quickly and exactly as ordered. I went for the Broad Street Waffle Sandwich, and it was massive! Definitely a signature dish that hits that sweet and savory craving perfectly. For about $17, the portion was huge. I also had coffee, fresh OJ, and a side of bacon. In total it was about $30 before tax and tip. A few pro-tips for your visit: Parking: Don't stress the parallel parking; there's free parking in the lot across the street. Hours: Heads up, they have "diner-lite" hours. They're open Sun-Fri 8 AM-3 PM and Sat 8 AM-8 PM. If you're a city commuter, you probably won't make it for breakfast, which is a minor inconvenience. Dietary Needs: They offer gluten-free bread for sandwiches, which is a nice find for an old-school spot. Student Perks: If you're an Rutgers student on a budget, their mid-week lunch specials are a solid value. The only reason it's not a 5/5 is the limited weekday hours, but for a nostalgic meal that hits the spot, this is a must-visit in Keyport!

My requirements are difficult to meet in many, many places because I have to avoid salt, sugar, beef, fats, AND ANYTHING WHITE UNBLEACHED FLOUR... These dietary needs make all my restaurant visits a scary adventure. So I constantly order different omelets, different egg only orders, and whole wheat bagels with lox. The last visit, a week ago this past Sunday, I ordered was a Greek style omelette in which I had to eliminate certain ingredients which also give me GI distress. The omelette came up wonderful and because I can only consume whole grains or ancient grains in any baked or cooked product, I ordered their gluten-free bread with my meal. This bread was delicious. And so my omelette. I only wished they had a fresh pepper grinder. (Planning to buy one and a generous supply of peppercorns and gift it to them). THE SERVICE My ginger-hair color waitress a week ago this Sunday was fabulous. Something I didn't tell her... that I was trying to get her phone number to set her up with my adult son whose girlfriend recently broke up with him and in constant pain because of a past spinal surgery. He's just 44 years old and a divorcé. I gave Ginger my car with my personal information and my son's phone number, and begged her to call him and tell her the good and the bad about meeting me at the diner. She's an excellent server. I wish to have many, many more like her in every restaurant. I go to Ginger. I love you. You're too young for me to date, but I would adopt you. AMBIANCE The ambience will match everyone's expectations. As long as those expectations match with the style and decor of a diner built around 1950 1960 or perhaps even 1970 currently, I would describe it as pleasant, clean and functional.
