Cumin beef
Anusha V.

We randomly went to this spot on a Friday night while we had some time to while away.. but what a delightful find it was. We didn't have reservations but luckily we were able to find a table for 2. The spot was super crowded and really busy. The service was quick and friendly and the food was out pretty quick. They do have a good amount of seating too. The menu was a little hard to read for me buttt we landed on a seafood fried rice and the cumin beef to share between my husband and I. The cumin beef was sensational. We keep coming back for it. I've also tried their Chinese szechuan fried rice and that was pretty good too. We ordered takeout from them a couple of times and the food has always been consistently good and for the price the portion size is pretty good as well.

Mala Soup
Ashley Victoria A.

i came here with a group of 6 people & there was so much food, i really thought i snapped a pic of it all! unfortunately i didn't, so ill recap on the tastier selections. i ordered the mala soup w/ ramen noodles and added beef, broccoli, cilantro, corn, & bok choy. (the broth wasn't signature but it was a type of soup that also had mala in it) it was delicious but i am not a big fan of the numbing taste/sensation. i ended up recooking it at home to really enjoy it. i also ordered scallion pancakes and it very flaky and flavorful. the table ordered 2 sets of mala wings, a soft shell crab, crispy pork belly, two other signature mala soups, and a fried rice with added steak i believe. everything was very yummy, and the only thing i would change besides the soup would be the wings. i would try the black pepper flavor instead. the mala wings were a bit underwhelming being that we've had at least five different mala flavored meals at the table. the restaurant was a bit smaller than i expected from the social medias, but the staff was kind and very informative. i'd return and try different options!

Roast Duck in Chili Oil

A friend brought me here and I am glad she did! love everything we ordered from the ocra, duck, rice cake to the plum drink. Service is great! everyone was corteous & acconodating. The place is not so big but enough size for people to move around. My meal was so delish I was messing up my top! I would defintely be back to try out other dishes from their menu.

Dan dan noodles

I came here on the weekend for lunch with a friend. We were seated relatively quickly even though it looked busy. If you are a large party I would make a reservation. You have a QR code on the table that let's you look at the menu and start a tab (very introvert friendly). When you order through the QR code, they just bring everything out. The bacon fried rice was AMAZING. Super flavorful and savory. I'm literally still thinking about it. Its big enough to be shared with another person. It was my fave dish that I got. The dan dan noodles with pork was alright. It didn't have enough pork and sauce in my opinion. I like the pork wonton in the chilli oil. The black pepper wings were also a favorite of mine. It was fried well and seasoned really good. My only issue is that the plate was covered in unnecessary peppers and veggies and it came with some potato pieces that were bit undercooked for my taste. Overall it was a good experience but please beware that its in a very busy complex and parking may be really difficult to find. But fighting for parking is worth it just for those wings and that bacon fried rice.

I ordered the beef chow fun and it was really good! Some pieces of beef were a little more raw than I would prefer, but it was overall very delicious! The service was very good and we were lucky to get a table despite it being so crowded!

Create your own dry pot

This is one of my favorite restaurants, I always get the create your own drypot stirfry. Their levels get pretty spicy so I stay at mild or medium. You order from a QR code and they have a virtual waitlist as well. It's a really unique experience. We will be back!

Recently reopened after being closed for renovations. My party of 4 visited on a Sunday around 12pm, and were seated promptly. There were a few tables occupied when we arrived, and slowly filled up while we were dining. Order via your phone by scanning a QR code. Your party can choose to place a group order or individual orders. We ordered the popcorn chicken as an appetizer to share and two Signature mala pots with mild spiciness. Each pot requires you to choose at least 5 ingredients, so the minimum order will be $20+. We were asked if we wanted rice, so we assumed it came with the meal, but later found out we were charged $1.95/bowl. The popcorn chicken was nicely fried, but could have used some more seasoning/salt. The dry pots came out promptly and were quite tasty, but the portions of the ingredients were inconsistent. + 10% cash discount

Create Your Own Stir-Fry Beef belly, enoki mushrooms, rice cake, celtuce, blood tofu with Asian Fusion sauce

A classic spot for dry pot, you definitely don't want to miss this restaurant for no fuss options in Chongqing/Sichuan cuisine. Inside, the restaurant is spacious with a lot of booth seating available. Once you're seated, you get a paper menu to check off what protein and veggie options that go into your pot. Depending on what/how much is picked determines your price. The waiters are very knowledgeable in helping you pick if you're overwhelmed by the options! My favorite combination is either fish or beef as the protein, and enoki mushrooms, rice cake, celtuce, plus tofu for the veggies. The Asian Fusion sauce has the perfect amount of heat and savory kick to help you down your bowl of rice on the side. Great spot for dates, dry pot lovers and daring foodies, would recommend a try! ty for reading, farewell

Veggie Mala
Sne G.

I believe the restaurant redid their interiors, looks great. Food is so consistent each visit, hands down best Mala dry pot in New Jersey. So many options of veggies and protein, Mala spice is delicious. Service is good.

Glass noodles with selected ingredients- delicious

The place is always packed with younger people. It can be a bit noisy so if you don't want that, pick an off hour time to dine in. The food is prepared fresh as you pick your condiments to go with it. The food always comes piping hot and delicious. The staff are friendly and courteous. Parking can be a problem since it's next to H- mart and other eateries.

The newly remodeled Spice 24 in Edison is a total upgrade--and it delivers on both looks and flavor. The refreshed space feels modern, clean, and much more open, making the dining experience super comfortable. What We Ordered: * Crispy Pork Belly - Perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside. Each bite had that addictive crunch and rich flavor you want from pork belly. * Signature Mala - Bold, spicy, and full of authentic Sichuan flavor. The heat level was just right--tingly, numbing, and packed with depth. * Mala Wings - (No photo, but absolutely worth mentioning) These were super flavorful with a nice balance of heat and crispiness. They disappeared fast. Food Overall: Spice 24 still nails authentic Chinese flavors with a great variety on the menu. Everything came out hot, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The portions are generous, and the dishes taste like they came straight from a wok in a busy Chinese kitchen. Service: Friendly and efficient. Our food came out in good time, and the staff was helpful with recommendations. Final Thoughts: With its stylish new interior and consistently solid food, Spice 24 is easily one of the top spots for authentic Chinese in Edison. Definitely recommend checking it out--especially if you're craving that real-deal Sichuan flavor!

I skew briny with oysters, so all of them were described thus, but there was still a tremendous range of flavors. The Wellfleets were probably our favorites, with a sweet, meaty texture along with an assertive brininess. We gilded the appetizer lily by ordering some steamed PEI mussels and clams casino, too. Dinner was a full fish-fest: I had the whole branzino, Rhonda the soft-shell crab, and Aaron the crispy skin Black Sea bass. Each of these were excellent: the branzino was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented with the head and tail intact, but on a nice small plate, making it look less like a giant meal and more of a humble fish for a hungry fella. The soft-shell crab was sweet and crunch without relying on a thick layer of breading or batter. Mission accomplished with that dish for sure. Aaron's sea bass had a nice crispy skin, as promised, and served over a small mound of risotto. Another standout: when I got fussy about our Manhattans, asking for a specific rye and vermouth, as well as the proportion of each, the server didn't miss a beat. I've had servers frown and take a lot of notes, but our man nodded knowingly with each request. (For the record, we had WhistlePig rye 10 year, which I've only ever had once before, at Knife and Fork in Atlantic City. Salt also had the 15-year-old version.)

The decor is beautiful and the Halloween decorations gave it a festive feel. Upon entering the establishment and confirming my reservations... the entire staff showed nothing but the highest level of professionalism and genuine smiles were on full display. The setting was perfect from a super cool intimate angle... and even though it was basically a packed house, the noise level was still respectable. WOW !!!! That's all I could say, when our server "Johnathan" set the small plate seafood tower on the table... cocktail shrimps, oysters, clams, mussels, stone crab claws, Alaskan crab legs, whole lobster, and langostino ( which I have never tasted before ) and I was able to enjoy this dynamic seafood display for a super reasonable $75 !! And there was the lobster bisque ( awesome ) crab dip ( rich and tasty ) and ended the evening with a dish of spinach lobster ravioli ( spectacular and fulfilling on every level ) Truth is... this made my trip to NJ everything and more. I want to give a shout out to Johnathan for doing an excellent job of explaining everything in detail and bringing things out in a deliberate fashion which allowed us to enjoy each dish to the fullest, without the table becoming over crowded ( thank you for that !! ) If you're ever in the New Brunswick NJ downtown area... I encourage you to make it a night at Salt Seafood & Oyster Bar ( you can thank me later !! )

I visited Steakhouse 85 for the first time on Thursday, March 19th. We all know the food is fantastic, but what impressed me even more was the employees. When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who had a big smile and bright eyes. She showed us to our table swiftly, and during our time there, her smile and warm welcome continued as she greeted other incoming diners. Our waiter appeared quickly with the first question would you like something to drink, water, etc. After the initial greeting, and now ready to take our order, he excitedly told us he had the pleasure of tasting most of the items he suggested. His excitement about the food he had the "pleasure of tasting" (his words) was apparent. Also, I had the pleasure of speaking to Monica, a manager at Steakhouse 85. She was kind, thoughtful, insightful, and well spoken. I could easily see why she holds that position and could have talked to her as I would a good friend. How a great manager like Monica gets those around them to react positively is by example; in other words, it's the ripple effect. It is easy to see that she is the type of person who, no matter what she does or where she goes in life, success will follow. Also, I want to say thank you to the owner and all the managers because hiring the right employees, from the cooks, busboys, and servers, is not an easy job in itself. The key to success is not just about the food; it's also the employees who add to the establishment's success! Great Job To All Of You! Kindness should never be taken for granted these days! Frances
