They seem to be banking on Ghost Face from Scream and South Park for some reason. As people have mentioned, it's a serve yourself place. There's no service here, LOL. Horrible service, I went in last night to purchase an item and I noticed the price was different from the price online so I asked the cashier if he/she can price match. He/she got the "manager" to come over. She had her mouth full of food still chewing and pointed at the sku stick on the box and said "it shows $40.00" uh no sh*T! I can see that myself and I asked her if they do price match from their online website and she told me "no". I hadn't been in a Spencer's since I was probably 16. 16 and not all that sweet. The honey ended up buying a cup and a few cheap shot glasses, one of which shattered that night after it lightly fell into the sink. The service was good, if not slow (on par with their other stores). The manager named Nicole is not only anal about the type of customers who walk in to "her" store, she clearly has a prejudice against minorities. I saw her wrongfully force a young black girl and her group of friends to give up her id after they merely picked up some of the merchandise in the store. This was a clear act of racism, as she was very cordial towards the white costumers in the store. She stalks and profiles shoppers, has a pompous attitude coated with a short temper, and overall micromanages other employees. Would not recommend going here, and she needs to be fired! read more

They don't give refunds if you pay cash! My brother bought a men's small shirt; they have no fitting rooms in Spencer's so he tried it on in another store. Five minutes later we try to return it and they refused to give us the cash back. If we paid cash we should get cash back not store credit! Their return policy sucks and I will never buy anything from there. read more

usually their after halloween sale is awesome, but this year it was so so. Maybe things have gone downhill since I worked there, but their selection was limited to say the least, and the supervisor who was working seriously needed to drop the 'tude. Just left this store very uncomfortable. My husband and I are heavily tattooed and of Latino decent. We were greeted nicely. Went to the adult section and was followed by the associate who was working and greeted us. She sat there feet away from us flat out staring and watching us. I worked retail I know what profiling for shoplifters is. I was holding two huge bags stuffed with purchases from other stores as well as my husbands wallet. A good place to buy gifts or little knick knacks for a basket, but that's just about it! I like the aspect of their weird and very unsightly presents to make my friends cringe or laugh during parties, but I feel like Spencer's is good for that reason alone. Maybe that's what they aim for? But I do notice they sell beanies, hats, other more 'serious' products at an overcharged price if anything! (Beanie for $15) When coming into Spencer's I try to have a goal in mind for what I want so I don't have to stay in for longer than a ten minute visit. For some reason, the store doesn't make you feel like you can browse around, but make a fast trip. For that reason, it reduces the sales of anything else,or contributes to that for me at least. The darkness of the store doesn't feel comfortable, and the design itself feels a bit awkward to begin with! The best part of the store is in the front, because depending on holiday or movie premier, it always looks too notch. Aside from that, everything feels pretty teenager/middleschool. The kind of stuff you'd have in your room then, or as gags you bring to school to make your friends laugh! I feel like the layout and ambience could use an upgrade, which may make the store feel a bit better and comfortable to shop in. This store isn't recommended for prudish mothers and children, just throwing that out there! If I'm in Spencer's it's always for an occasion, but never for self shopping. If they change a few things I'm sure they'd be a more open to the public kinda feel. read more

I've always liked Spencer's for their unique gifts but I had never been too happy about their employees until right before xmas. I went in there with my son who wanted to buy everything. We came across Dyllan who was extremely helpful! We went in to buy 1item and thanks to his awesome service... we spent over $100. He would come to us when he saw the opportunity to help. I can't say enough but I can say I was impressed with his level of service. I teach and work in customer satisfaction for a living and Dyllan was definitely exceptional. My daughter and her friend was racially profiled and harassed by a manager who said her name was,"Nicole." There was a group of (4) girls all friends shopping together. The (2) black girl were followed and harassed as they shopped,Nicole decided to snatch items out of their hands and said,"I will take this to the register till you get ready to pay." She didn't bother the other (2) shoppers. When they asked Nicole why she was treating them rudely she decided to curse at them and kicked the (2) black girls out of the store. Seems if Nicole the manager thinks it's ok to curse,harass,snatch items out of the hands of shoppers and physically use force by putting her hands on these teenage girls. Not o.k. I will be contacting the upper management in this case because I feel Corporate should know how this manager treats black people. Parents please be aware that some grownups will target your child when you are not around. I went in looking for a keychain bottle opener. The place is packed with useless stuff, and when I asked the sales clerk where they were, he pointed vaguely and said, "They're over there". Of course, the corner he pointed to was full of other shit as well, so when I asked him again, he said, "You'll find it eventually." I immediately left the store.
