Speedwell is the best! My new BMW was hit by the Fed Ex truck while parked in my driveway. Sheesh! I ran around getting estimates and these guys impressed me with their ability to give me a quote on the spot. (Thanks Joe!!!) While in their shop I noticed that their equipment was super impressive & organized, the guys were down to earth (like brothers) and they were repairing several cop cars from the area. You probably don't get that contract being flaky or bad at what you do. Boy would I love to take one of those babies for a spin...lights flashing, all of the moronic drivers getting out of my way...I digress. So, my family and I were headed out to FL for vacation and I wanted to have the car repaired while we were out of town. Hands-down, no question, an enthusiastic 5 stars, I'd give them 10 if I could. Speedwell Auto, aka Joey and Mario, is/are great mechanics, good people and have kept my cars moving for a long time. Need a tow? Oil change? Air Conditioner service? They are more than capable of anything and offer great value for the service. I once hit a pot hole and got a flat. I knew immediately, pulled over and couldn't move the last of the lug nuts. I really tried. I literally stood on the wrench and nothing. I called Joey as thought I needed a tow. I explained the circumstance and not so fast. He recommended a trick (not gonna tell for liability purposes), which I executed perfectly (nice work Johnny) and boom, it moved. I changed the flat and was moving again in 10 minutes. A mechanic with a call in show? Boom, that's Joey and the gang at Speedwell. I recently had an incredible experience at speedwell auto service. I needed the front passenger panel of my VW looked at since I had scratched it on a low lying fence backing out of a driveway. Joe was extremely friendly and gave me a quote immediately as soon as I drove onto the site. He told me the perfect time to come back in order to get the work done and everything went extremely smooth and the car looked brand new afterward. I was given a fair price as well as multiple options as to what I wanted to have done. The facility is very nice, easy to find and the staff are very friendly. Be careful with these guys- they will tell you that 40 years of experience and more to give them your trust but there are challenges. First time they wanted to do more work on car while they had it. Gave them a Bilstein shock for the right side of the car, they put it on the wrong side!!! Now they wanted me to supply another shock for the right side!!! crazy, How is this my problem? 2nd time I went in for plugs and oil ONLY. They changed the trans oil, air filters etc. Telling me that the car needed it and it could not be released that way. My neighbor has has similar dealing with these guys.
