I recently bought a used bike here that they built up from the frame with brand new components and tires. It's a good looking bike at $360, and it's been super comfortable to ride. Ted, one of the mechanics, helped me pick out the best bike for my needs, and was super nice to me and my dog. They also have sweet T shirts that I have my eye on!!

It's sad and unfortunate because I like to continue supporting business that I've had longstanding report with but as someone who worked in the nyc service industry for years- I also can't condone inappropriately rude customer service that comes from nowhere. To the owners/managers who are reading this- I am sorry to inform you that the attitude of your workers do in fact translate into business being lost (I will be living in this neighborhood for a while and am an avid cyclist who visits bicycle shops regularly for my needs throughout the year, and there are plenty of other establishments that understand unwanted pretension is not smart customer service (is it ever really warranted lol) & that you can take your business to any number of them as opposed to dealing with mis directed attitude.

Robin is a super star bike mechanic, she is knowledgable can repair what no other mechanic can and she is pretty much the coolest. Great shop and awesome addition to the neighborhood!

I do want to give a little grace since it was close to closing time, but the experience still left me disappointed. There were a few people inside, including staff, and despite making eye contact while they were laughing and chatting, I had to actually raise my voice to get someone's attention. When I finally did, I was told "pumps by the door," and they went right back to their conversation. It felt more like I was interrupting a group ride than walking into a shop that helps cyclists. To their credit, the pump was enough to get me home. When I brought it back, I was again told to just "leave it by the door," which reinforced the feeling that they wanted as little to do with me as possible and to get me out quickly. But if I come into a bike shop saying I nicked my tire, I'm really hoping for a new tube and a bit of help getting back on the road, not a quick solution that gets me out the door. I've heard from friends that this is supposed to be a go-to shop for cyclists in Brooklyn, which is why this was especially disappointing. Maybe it was just the timing, but the overall vibe came off more disinterested than helpful.
