What a fun place so close to Richmond! A great addition to your weekend trip for the kids! The go-kart track looked amazing -- very Mario Kart like! We had some pre-teen girls so was nervous about letting them try since some racers were gunning it! If they had a family race that would be perfect! The space is very large with mini golf, laser tag, eating/drinking area -- would be a fun birthday spot! We did a couple rounds of the laser tag and it was a lot of fun. I remember coming to Speeders a long time ago when it was just a go-karting arena, but recently I saw on their social channels that they have introduced some exciting stuff and decided to try it out! We tried their laser tag and mini golf! We booked both those things on the day of, they had a lot of availability. However, if you decide to go for their go-karting, I would recommend booking in advance as it was very full and busy. Their laser tag was so fun!! The area was huge and could accommodate upto 20-30 people!! It was just the 6 of us so the space was too large but nonetheless we had a great time. Each laser tag round is 20mins and we played 2 rounds. The staff were very nice and guided us through it all. Their mini golf was located right by the go-karting arena, it was pretty small and I think it was meant to be a passtime for people while they wait. We had fun though, some of their courses were pretty difficult. I would definitely come back for their laser tag with a bigger group and also try their new go-karting arena!! read more

This is a really fun track and racing up one story and back down certainly is something different. The electric karts pull pretty fast and the karts are easy to drive. The staff give you a good orientation. This is a fun event for team building. Yes it is about $40 per race session. (If I remember correctly I had 3 races for that.) But this was a fun time. I mean I loved the go carts, they're fast and zippy. They have two different tracks to choose from. The mini golf area was terrible and smaller than small. The arcade area has 4-5 arcades so the selection isn't great. The laser tag area was fun though. There's also a bar/lounge area that's spacious, but be warned that they won't serve you any adult beverages until you're done racing for the evening. They have the regular pub style grub that's ok I guess ( I didn't really eat anything) the staff was pleasant . It would be better if the tracks were larger, the mini golf area was actually given some serious thought. And the arcade was treated like and after thought they have the space to add atleast a dozen more. This place has potential to be a lot more but is lacking in multiple areas. There's not many options for indoor go carts heck I don't even know if there's any outdoor ones left in the area anymore. Zero stars if I could give it that. Even though we had a reservation for a specific time, we were told that they were running 20 minutes behind, but it really was about 1 hour that we were stuck waiting there. We were told that if you give a Google review, they would give you mini golf for free so don't trust any of the reviews cause they're all bought reviews. Nowhere does it state that you get the pro level speed after 10 races but all the other reviews are saying that which sucks because at about $25 per race ($250 at least) It can really add up before you even get to have a "competitive" speed for go karting. Like all the other reviews say - the speed is so slow. It's almost impossible to make an overtake, and you hardly even have to brake to make a turn because you're going so slow. The blue track layout in my opinion was better but the pace just isn't fast enough if the cart was maybe 10 to 20% faster it could be enjoyable but I'm not willing to spend more money to unlock the pro speed. The waiting area is very chaotic and seemed very disorganized, and the workers also seemed frantic and didn't know what they're doing. The safety video is also useless because they're making you watch it in such a chaotic and loud environment that you can't even hear it and there's just too much going on to even really pay attention. The bathrooms were also gross and looked unkept. We brought our own motorcycle helmet and it was accepted, but would recommend not bringing a tinted visor as it is so dark inside that it's hard to see and they make you yo visor down. Parking was adequate. The arcade and mini golf areas looked relatively subpar and not worth coming to solely for that. We didn't try the laser tag either so we have no comments for that. At the end of the day, it was a disappointing time because even though we had made a reservation, we were still delayed by a full hour and with little remorse or customer service to accommodate it. my friend had gone and even though that they had reservations, they ended up waiting three hours so it seems to be a common occurrence. read more

GROUP EVENT FAIL! Total Disaster, Avoid at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. We booked for a group of 11 and were promised we'd be able to race together. The staff at this location are so disorganized that they couldn't even manage that simple request. We paid $99 per person + tax for a package that included 2 races, 2 mini-golf games, 2 laser tag sessions + $30 Arcade credit. Our time slot was scheduled for 6:30 PM, with everyone arriving at 6:00 PM sharp, but it was a total mess from the start. Despite completing all the pre-registration in advance, we were forced to redo everything in person due to their chaotic booking system. The staff clearly had no idea how to manage timelines and kept accepting walk-ins, putting us an hour behind our original time slot. As a result, we barely had time to finish TWO race and ONE session of laser tag before having to leave for our dinner reservation. We didn't even touch the other activities we paid for. The manager claimed they would honor our package and help us reschedule for the following week, but unsurprisingly, we've received zero accountability, no response, and no follow-up. I will be filing a chargeback because I'm not giving you over $1,100+ for this absolute disaster of an experience. We just dropped by to check it out with some visiting family on a weekday afternoon, and there was no problem with a couple of the teens joining an upcoming race. It's a bit expensive, but they said they enjoyed it. The cars seemed quick to them, and the safety arrangements were adequate without being too limiting. The staff were helpful, no complaints. We would take visitors there again, especially if they have kids or teens. I think there's one minor flaw in their design: there's no viewing area for non-racers to see the race in progress or take photos. Speeders is missing out on a significant promotional opportunity. Also no merchandise to give away or sell, other than the unmarked black cloth hoods that the racers can keep. A few other things: Some advertised auxiliary activities aren't ready yet, like the axe-throwing. Also the safety video that racers have to watch first contains important English-language instructions, but the staff don't ask if all racers understand English well. read more

Attended a birthday party today. Most kids arrived promptly but we weren't allowed into the booked party room until all kids had arrived. Umm we had kids coming late from their sports. Party package is paid for so why does it mater what time others arrive. Were told we had to sign in all 16 kids on one computer. When this went incredibly slow I complained and then sure enough we were allowed to used more then one kiosk as any of the multitude of these type of places with waivers, let you. Suddenly we couldn't use the party room again as they claimed the host hasn't paid. At this point we were 30 minutes into the booked time. Finally we were into the room 30 minutes late. Kids head to laser tag, all is good. It was exclusive for them (7 year old party). Then they go to do their two rounds of mini golf. But anyone can do mini golf so now you have 16, 7 year olds and a bunch of adults from another group in the same small area. I'm sure the adult group was equally frustrated. Oddly enough on the last hole the ball is swallowed. Our package though comes with two rounds of mini golf and the employees were surprised we would need more balls for our second round. As if they have never encountered this before. So now it is 5 minutes before the booked party is over and the food as part of the package has yet to arrive. We were given excuses about being short staffed but this was not a cheap package, so it wasn't a good enough reason. Food arrived and everyone power ate as the next party had arrived and understandably, wanted the room they too had booked and paid for. Would avoid this place at all cost. You must book 3 races to use online booking We wanted just 2 races so could not book using their online e system We were told mornings are typically less busy so we arrived at opening Were told it would be hours before we could ride I expressed my frustration with their booking system and the staff (very friendly and helful) said they were aware and that it was a frequent complaint. I've always dreamed of having a gokart track on my property. on Sunday it was my worst go karting experience in my life and it made me think differently about that activity. first the organisation was awful, my friend tried to call the premises about 20times to organise a group of ten to drive all together impossible to reach them. When we arrived it was really hard to switch and make things happen. the speed of the karting feels like you're at a bumper car and you just can't actually just enjoy driving something :/ This is not go karting. the track could be fun, but the fact that everything is a restricted speed limit! I can't recommend this place if you're older than 10 years old... this is for kids and kids only! I was above pissed about the price too, 61$ all included for less than 12 minutes of supposedly driving :/ it felt like you at an arcade game in front of a computer... Everything. The customer service was the only thing decent here. Key word is decent. The instructions for the driving was very vague, little to no rules were truly enforced upon people. My 100lb daughter was targeted by someone and slammed into the walls and hit multiple times. The workers on the ground did not enforce any rules or flagged down where people were spun out by others or hit. It did not feel safe or as if the workers cared for your safety. I understand this is a go carting place where people can have fun but safety needs to come with that also. The workers need to provide more attention to what's going on instead of only caring who is passing who. Do not recommend to anyone looking for something to do in Vancouver area. I am giving the lowest rating. I am doing this for a few reason. First the good news. The business is huge. Clean. Well maintained. The staff is knowledgeable. We went for a birthday celebration for my son. We were told that each race has 14 laps. I paid for the races, and we were on our way. The race itself was awesome. The kids had a lot of fun. I thought that it was cool that a staff member raced with us. We were told that the staff is their top racer and will make the race interesting for us. He did not disappoint. The staff member definitely knew his way around the tracks. Little did we know that the other staff member had controlled the speed on all cars. He made all cars slower than the staff person that was racing with us. He got a much faster kart. Before I knew it, the race was over. I guess time really flies when you're having fun ...? Afterwards, we picked up our score sheets. Now for the not so good news. The score sheets helped us realize that we did not get our full 14 laps. Most of my party got only 13 laps, one got only 10 laps. Who got the 14 laps? The staff member who was racing for free and with his kart tweaked to be the fastest. I didn't make a big deal about it. The kids had fun and it was my son's birthday. I didn't want his memories to include mom arguing with the staff at his race party. So I let it go. HOWEVER ... I'm posting my review here in hopes to inform people to be wary if they decide to go racing at this place. Needless to say we won't be going back and we won't be recommending Speeders to our friends and family. read more

We live in Tri-Cities so, the trek out there was far. However, we went in to book our time slots and to obtain more information on the procedures for registering etc. The staff were very helpful and provided additional ways to ensure our day would run smoothly (deposit). Our team was separated as we had older and younger children. I think they did a fantastic job of alternating our races. We finished in the time we had asked for. I have recommended this venue to a number of friends. We will definitely do this again in the future...(racing is pricey where ever you go) I wrote this due to the negative comments I saw. If people just take the additional time to make sure their booking is secure they wouldn't be complaining. Call them to check...just takes a couple of minutes. read more

This place gave off the feel of a company on it's last legs. We were the first booking of the day, and the place was filthy (bathrooms, tables etc.) It seemed quite disorganized with long waits between laps, which would have been fine if the table hockey and other games weren't all in various states of disrepair. The helmets also showed a lot of wear. The cars were fine; it's great to not have to smell gas fumes the whole time, although they did have trouble getting one of mine to start. Most telling, the staff all seemed deeply unhappy. With the exception of the woman on the front desk, the rest of the staff were not even remotely pleasant or helpful. read more

This venue was booked for a Sweet 16 birthday event for 10. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with the staff and crew of this location. They accommodated us on every request...we chose the Grand Prix package plus rental of the Nascar conference room. The room had Spotify and a projector tv capability...excellent!!! Plenty of space ...looked like up to 50-60 capacity The racing itself was extremely fun! 3 races was just the right amount. I'm giving this one star (deserved, not because it is the lowest rank) because my corporate experience was absolutely amazing. The acceleration of karts was phenomenal; by the end our entire corporation was soaked in sweat. I was so impressed with the event that I decided to spent $100 to take my visiting family to the track, all the while raving of its quality. However, this time it was immediately apparent out race would be different. Our karts were not ever given the same amount of power. We drove within the rules and did not commit infractions or get any flags, yet my kart speed was significantly slower than my previous experience. I drove 10 slow leisurely laps without a lick of adrenaline or sweat. When I asked Nathan, the staff in charge, why our karts were so slow this time, he told me it was because the two WOMEN in our group were out of control and spinning out. This did not correlate to what I saw on the track, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. However, after talking to the two women, it was apparent that Nathan had lied; they had no issues controlling their vehicles. Upon confronting Nathan, he said the real reason was that it was within his discretion to slow ALL carts if he believed some drivers may be inexperienced. The drivers he pointed out were the two women. The two women in our group immediately correlated "inexperienced" with "female." In addition to being sexist, this was incredibly embarrassing for them, as they were effectively being blamed for ruining our experience. Interestingly, they had faster track times than participants at my previous corporate event where they made no changes to Kart speed. Moreover, they stayed right and received no infractions. When I went to seek a refund, as I CLEARLY did not get the service that was advertised (and nowhere did it mention we have the discretion to make all carts slow even if you abide by the rules) I left a form for the manager to call me back. I was told she would phone back immediately. She of course did not, and I had to phone her the following evening. After explaining the difference in my two experiences, she said she trusts the discretion of her staff and will conduct a several day review (over $100, remember) to determine if I am entitled to my money back. Upon hearing that they were effectively going to "self investigate" with a bias toward employee interpretation, and noting that this was a pattern in other yelp reviews, I told her I was displeased with the customer service I was being provided. I explained that I had just told all my friends previously how amazing this track was, and now I'm morally obligated to update them on my most recent experience. I also told her that when you treat customers this way, you will end up with negative reviews on yelp, and that she should expect one soon. ****HERE IS THE AMAZING PART**** After I told her I would leave a negative review due to the way she handled my complaint, she pulled up my user file and noted that it was connected to a corporate event, and consequently my employer. At that point, she told me that she would not tolerate threats (to her, honest yelp reviews and updating your experience by word of mouth to friends is a threat) and would be calling my boss to tell him that I operate in threats and am a liability to the company. I tried to explain to her that me posting a negative review in my personal capacity without a single mention of my employer has nothing to do with my employer and that it is highly inappropriate to make those kinds of threats. Me, my fiancé, and my boss were baffled by this behaviour. This is an amazing facility. However, it is hands down the least professional operation I have ever witnessed. The manager spoke to two parties separately, and told each party different information about what the other had said in an attempt to muddy the waters. I will never set foot in this facility again and I encourage others to do likewise. EDIT: I would like to direct everyone's attention to the fact that speeders is one of only a very small number of companies that don't respond to/ seek to remedy negative reviews. I've been go-karting quite a bit, and this was not one of the most enjoyable rides. It's a completely different environment from gas go-karts. The karts are much quieter, which is nice, but they take away all the fun in competition. Riders aren't supposed to pass each other on the track - so no competing with friends to get ahead. Instead, they make you slow down and let your friend pass down the road. Sucks all the enjoyment out of some healthy competition. If you're slow, this is the place for you. But if you're gritty, and like pushing the limits of your car, then you should probably stick with gas carts. The overall staff and maintenance is pretty decent, but I just can't give this a big thumbs up for avid go karters. read more

The sign up process feels like they're trying to nickel and dime you. For some reason you need to spend $10 to create an account. This 'elite' account expires after a year, which seems pointless. If you want to charge $xx, charge it up front. The operations side of things is a total shit show. Everything moves slowly for your first half hour there. Once you're racing it's fantastic! The cars are zippy and the track is decent. I wish it were a little larger to allow for a decent straightaway to hit the top speed. As with most karts, 14 laps doesn't sound like much until you're racing. A few more laps would be the perfect amount of time, but it cuts you off at the point where you can't wait to do it again. On their side, that's great -- but for the consumer, it didn't feel like quite enough for the money. The free lockers are really handy and the staff is nice for the most part. The printouts at the end are handy for people who care about that. If you have an annoying friend who lives to 'be the best', be prepared for them to ramp up that part of their personality. All in all, its a fun time every so often -- but with the pricing I don't think it's worth doing more than once a year. They do have a birthday deal (all month), but you can't use it for your first race. tldr; this is really fun, the pricing is on-par with comparable go-kart tracks, but the races feel a little short. I have go-karted multiple times and can easily say this operation is the worst. Don't waste your time here as this was the most bullshit go kart experience I have ever had. I went with 4 family members and check-in was smooth. We were put with 3 others, but 2 were 'professional racers' (one of them had his own geers and go-pro camera that he was recording). Essentially they slowed our karts down so much that the other 2 had the track for themselves. Each pass we were shown card such as "keep right", "let them pass" and finally "warning"! After the race when I confronted, the stupid minimum wage worker who told me the reasons! I wish they treated all the same instead of humiliating us by throttling our karts. read more

Totally different experience and environment from TBC. The space is really large. They have tables and chairs set up so you can watch other races while you wait for yours. It's also a different type of system. You create an account and it keeps track of all your race times. I'm not super into go karting but I think this place would be great for people who are. My boyfriend and I came for date night and enjoyed the experience. He said the cars are way faster than TBC. I go super slow anyway so I couldn't tell. Overall, the service is good. You only need to watch the safety video your first time. The cars are electric and they have head socks that are washed and not disposable. Don't waste your time or money here this was the most bullshit go kart experience I've ever had. I'm an avid gas go karter. This was my first experience with electric karts. I was one of 2 women in a large group of men and I can't help but think that the track monitor was being sexist. I was constantly being flagged to keep right to allow others in my party to pass, yet when I did so no one was passing me. If I wasn't being flagged to pull over it was for drifting or some other BS. Incredibly frustrating experience. I didn't pay $60+ to politely drive in a circle for 10 minutes while being discriminated against. The staff are slow and rude. The only thing this place has going for it is cleanliness. I will never return. read more

We reserved a race for 4:30. Our race didn't even pop up until 5:30. After that, the system completely removed our race and they couldn't find it. We weren't given a race until 3 races after. Absolute s***hole don't recommend AT ALL. read more

TLDR: We completed 1 out of 3 races in about 3.5 hours. Horrible experience. Disorganized, not professional, allows people to blatantly and obviously budge in line. We never ended up doing our last 2 races. If you want to spend 8 hours here only to do 3 races, this might be the place for you. Came here with 3 other friends, we were here right at 11am when they opened. We didn't get to pay until about 12pm. We purchased 3 races, and our first race happened in a timely manner. 2 hours later, we still have not started our 2nd race. We decide to save the races as they allow for "elite members". We go to the front, only 1 person is working in front, and the line is jam packed. We decide to wait in line, like anyone would. 45 minutes later, we are finally at the counter. Just before I was able to speak, another customer comes to the front and asks for a "quick question". I tell her that we have a quick question too, and we have been waiting in line. Basically to sum it up, the customer was wanting to save races too, and staff allowed this even though we patiently waited in line for 45 minutes. I complained, and management has done nothing to make me feel any better about this situation. Seriously appalled at how inconsiderate people are, but more than that, Speeders staff allowed this to happen, and that would leave a bad taste in any ones mouth. Avoid... Karts may be electric, but my GF who has never go-karted before said they felt really slow. Track layout also is not ideal and is set up for basically no opportunities for passing, you have to wait for the marshal to give the person in front of you the pass flag. They have competitors around the area that are far superior, and treat their customers with respect. read more

I went to this go kart place on May​ 23, 2019. This place isn't too bad. However there were a lot of cons. - one race is approximately 8-10 mins. it felt like 6 mins. - The kart feels kinda slower compared to the kart in TBC and richmond go karts. - I did three races which costed $62.00. (unless if there was a discount on a specific day which I couldn't find on their website.) Which is hella over priced compared to TBC which is $30.00 for three races every tuesday. Richmond go karts is $36.00 every tuesday through thursday. - they don't allow racers to drift which I think is BS compared to TBC and richmond go kart, which they don't really care about it. -If you do multiple races they always tell u to come in at the end of every race to get in a new kart. Which isn't necessary. (unless if the battery needs recharging which i doubt it, cause it should hold more longer.) Overall this place is somewhat okay. I don't recommend it to any racers who likes to go fast and do drifts. However i recommend it to young children who are here for a birthday party or for fun. For those who likes to speed and do drifts I recommend going to TBC or Richmond go kart. read more

Pros: - Ample of free parking - Place is big and clean - Face masks for hygiene purpose - Locker storage space - Arcade area and seats for watching - Could be cheaper than other go kart places Cons: - Long wait time. If you pay for more than one race, you will have to wait in between and let other people who came later go first. Took us over 1.5 hours vs. other places where we take max. 45 min - Front staff will try to up sell you and are a little rude - Staff can control your speed on their remote - Cars are fast (downside of driving electric cars is you don't get that "track" feel - no sound, no gasoline smell) - Too many restrictions taking the fun out of go karting 1. It takes time to get used to driving and handling go karts. Many of the other go kart places aren't as strict if you accidentally scrape the fence or another kart as long as you are not intentionally hitting someone and doing it a lot. I understand they are trying to make the place safe, however, accidents happen. While you are trying to get used to the kart, you will get pulled over and kicked off the track you if you accidentally hit something or someone (even lightly) 2. You get flagged if you accidentally drift 3. You get flagged to apply brakes if you're going too fast 4. You get flagged to move aside to let people pass (you can't overtake people since karts are flagged to move aside) - I think plastic fencing is quite dangerous (doesn't absorb as much impact) - *** Read the waiver! You will need to pay for damage, which is reasonable and understanding. BUT they will give you attitude if you are willing to pay for visible signs of damage first, leave your contact details and credit card info, and request an invoice to pay the remaining AFTER they fully investigate and can proof any other damage. They will demand to charge your credit card first before they fully investigate and provide all evidence of damage or send you an invoice (could be hundreds of dollars). This is the best go kart i have ever attended. The karts are faster than other places and are in very good conditions. Everything looks new. It is indoors but because karts are electric you dont inhale gas fumes which is a huge plus. Staff are okay. We went in a group of 4 and had 5 races with rest in between and had a lot of fun. Good practice between real autocross sessions. Highly recommend to driving enthusiasts. read more
