The courses were fun and progressively challenging but would be good for all age groups. The black light section was really cool. I did not win against my husband but we still had a fun time walking in here on a Sunday afternoon. The golf course is divided between 2 areas - glow in the dark and non-glow in the dark. Most of the holes are par 3. Service is great. There are prizes at the end for everyone which was really fun. There are restrooms here and seating areas if you want to wait/play some games like jenga. There is wifi here is as well which was useful as our cell data was turned off from visiting in the US. Immediately after walking in you are greeted by staff (which I am thinking was the owner now), surrounded by arcade games and some really cool and well done art. The games of the holes are clever and entertaining, the art on the walls are from varying artists, the more you look around the more you see! I'm obsessed with West Coast Mini Putt! Walked in right after opening and we were greeted with a smile and an adorably well trained dog to boot! The place is covered in fantastic art and games. So it seems that if you had to wait to start, you'd easily be able to occupy yourself. Not sure how much staff they have normally but the one guy who assisted us was fantastic! He answered all questions and gave us a great how-to on what would give us the best first time experience. In the end we all got prizes, which was a sweet ending to a fun activity. This place is perfect for a friend/family outing and the whole time we were there we were saying how it would be a perfect date spot as well! The one thing I would warn is that the place is pretty heavily scented! It was nice for a bit but by the end of the game, I had a bit of a headache. read more

I was looking for a good, old-fashioned indoor mini-putt experience like the kind I used to enjoy in the 90s, and this sweet little place was everything I hoped it would be. Very friendly and welcoming front desk staff, clean and well-maintained facility, and good spacing between groups so it never felt crowded. Music added to the fun and was played at a volume that was not too loud to drown out normal conversation. I took my 3 kids (11, 9, 4) and there were putters sized for each of them. It's suitable for well-behaved kids aged 3-4 and up (not a safe place for kids to run wild and be silly with the putters), and fun for adults too. There is some spectacular art work on the walls and ceiling that you can admire while your kid takes 15 strokes to get a ball into a hole :). Loved the selection of retro arcade games at the entrance. The winner from each group gets to choose a full-sized snack or drink, which was an unexpected bonus. Called in on a Wednesday evening to ask if they were busy and the staff told me it's hard to be guaranteed a time unless I book a time, which made sense... so since we really wanted to try the only indoor mini golf place in Richmond on a rainy evening we booked a playing time 30 minutes prior to arriving. Upon arrival, we made our payment which came to a total of $25.80 for two.. approx $12.90 per person. The staff asked if it was our first time there and since it was, he told us some rules for playing. (eg. how much distance you can move your ball if it's too close to the side boards.. etc) The first 9 holes are not glow in the dark and the next 9 holes are in a different and dark room which was glow in the dark. The holes was only made difficult due to the shaping of the concrete walls surrounding the hole. Some was actually pretty tough so I wouldn't recommend parents bringing younger kids here because it would most likely get frustrating for them. Some holes have some sort of elevation which was great... but in general I found the set up of the whole place to be rather plain. The walls were decorated and the ceiling had lights... but the holes itself was only concrete walls, some sort of elevation if not none.. and that was about it. The rooms are quite stuffy especially the glow in the dark room which made it kind of difficult to play because it's warm, stuffy and the light is a bit hard to look at after a while. They don't allow food inside which is fine.. but they also don't allow personal beverages. They only allow you to drink what you purchase from them. Which is a little bit ridiculous because the rooms are pretty warm so it's highly likely one will want to drink something. Eventually after the 9th hole... We got a ginger ale for $2.65 since we knew there was still 9 holes left. When we got the ginger ale, the staff in front made a comment about how asians like their ginger ale... I was a bit taken a back by that comment since I wasn't sure how it was related. Then he told us that his wife was asian. My husband and I liked to play each individual hole a few times to test it out, see if we can do better, then we just write down our best scores (Since we're playing against each other and it's our own personal scores) We were spaced out perfectly and didn't get in any of the other parties way. However, when we got out, the staff in the front desk asked "Can I ask how did you get these scores? It's nearly impossible. I saw you guys play the holes many times. What was it? a best out of 2 or 3?" I actually thought that was kind of rude because the way he made it sound was like we were "cheating" and trying to trick him with our scores. When really, we were totally fine with calculating it ourselves and going on our way since the scores was just for ourselves. In the end, my husband and I each got a candy. I got to choose a lollipop and he got to choose a bigger chocolate bar for being the winning scoring player between the two of us. Overall... The place was okay...it's awesome that it's indoors but it doesn't have much ventilation ... so unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

So much fun! I went without any kids and it was honestly an enjoyable time for two adults. The second section with 9 holes that are glow in the dark was quite exciting, mini golf in itself is fun but glow in the dark?! So creative. The staff were also so friendly it seems like a very homey environment. We didn't have a reservation nor a groupon but the girl at the front desk gave us 10% off, such a nice gesture. It was also our first time and instead of just a "here's ur putts and go", they gave us some tips and pointers on how to play. I've played lots of mini golf before but have never been instructed on certain rules such as moving the ball putter length away from any edges which I've always done but some people think that you can't so the clarification always helps. Also the winner of the match wins a prize from a special box, it's filled with chocolate bars and snacks! Always a nice reward besides just the glory. Highly recommend for families and friends, the whole route didn't take more than an hour for two players. read more

I came here with my boyfriend and we had a blast on a random Sunday night and we had a blast. We were in the Richmond area and found this place by searching for mini putt places on Google. I am so glad we discovered this mini putt spot. We came here back in October and the place was very well-decorated for Halloween. The glow in the dark decor is very cool and the music was great. The owner was very friendly, which is always a plus. He gave us a brief overview of how the scoring should work and was happy to answer any questions we had. The first half (9 holes) is played in a regularly lit room, while the next half is played in a glow-in-the-dark black light lit room. The glow-in-the-dark decor is very cool and the music is great. Hole 18 is quite interesting (don't want to give it away!). You only get one shot, but if you get it in ... you get your picture taken and put up on their wall! I am definitely going to come back here. The owner did mention that they intend of have seasonal changes to their course designs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to play a good game of mini putt! Great place to go on a date, double date, or with friends. read more

Came by on a Thursday night to kill some time before getting dinner with friends. We're from out of town and wanted to do something we wouldn't normally do back at home (like see a movie or walk around a mall) and decided that indoor mini golf would be fun (and warm). Since we came in at an odd time we were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves! The owner was working behind the desk and hooked up my small group with their discounted rate (usually only available for people who pre-book/reserve via Facebook?) He gave us some tips on the course and let us know about their "treasure chest" for the winner. The 18 hole course is pretty easy but there are a few "tricky" ones that made my friends and I laugh out loud at each other as we struggled. A heavy hip-hop soundtrack was playing the entire time we were there which I thought was super fun but might not be little-kid appropriate. (I'm sure the owner would change the playlist if anyone had kiddos there). At the end of our game I was the only person who got a hole in one (yay!) but ultimately I was not in 1st place. The winner got to choose a prize from the treasure chest (candy and small toys) and we all left on a happy vibe. I definitely would recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for a fun way to spend an hour or so. read more

Best hole-in-the-wall (see what I did there?) Family-owned, family and adult friendly place for entertainment! They have an 18-hole mini-golf course, with two different themed sections. Each hole is specially designed, and isn't too difficult to get the Amateur par but not that easy as you get further down. They also have two upper sections, one of which would be a party area, all decorated by the family who owns this place (we just so happened to catch them at the tail-end of a birthday party, and they were still so accommodating for the three of us who dropped in). Lastly they have dart machines (not with the magnetic tips but plastic kind-of-sharp ones) AND a karaoke room (I'll be back soon for that). So, when the three of us dropped in, the gentleman who owns the place with his wife and his baby girl were there, and they even have the cutest dog. Did I mention this was a family-run place? He gave us the run down of this place and showed us how mini golf works. Then we spent a good 40 min almost, doing all 18 holes. Loooved the second section of neon lights! And the end of the game, whoever loses (or wins, I can't remember) get a consolation prize! We ended up scoring the same across the board, so we went upstairs, played darts, to determine the winner. This place was a lot of fun! I came here with a fairly large group of like 14 people without a reservation and the staff here were so accommodating and were quickly able to organize things so we could all play and ensure the gameplay process would go smoothly. They have 18 holes, and the overall layout is really different from other mini putt places I've been to. This was definitely more simple and just set up in two large, really open rooms, whereas in the past I've been to more elaborately designed venues but which feel more confined. They also played awesome music the whole time, mostly upbeat hip hop and some top 40. Anyway, the main part is that we had a lot of fun, none of the holes are particularly challenging, but they all vary somewhat so that keeps things interesting. If you manage to get a hole in one on the last hole they will take a picture of you to put on the hall of fame, plus give you a coupon for a free game on your next visit! Also the winner of your group's game will get a free treat. Mostly the staff here contributed to a great experience and they have a really cute shihpoo dog which they will allow you to play with in the waiting area. You get a discount for checking in on Facebook, so it's $12 to play, and I also heard they have a Friday 'date night' special. Would recommend as a fun and simple group activity! read more

They also offered to hold bags at the front so you don't have to carry them around. Probably one of the only mini putt establishments in Richmond. West Coast Mini Putt is a great replacement for the old Planet Lazer location. I came here with my boyfriend and another couple with a Groupon, which was a great deal to try this place out. Otherwise it's about $14/general admission. We were greeted promptly and it was a casual and friendly atmosphere. The gentleman working there was really nice and explained the rules of mini putt like if your ball is against he wall, you can use the width of your putter to measure it away from the wall, 6 strokes is the usual max, etc... The putter and balls were new, neon coloured, and well-kept. The first 9 holes was under normal light and the last 9 holes were the under the blacklight room. The normal light room was uniquely decorated with artwork and graphics. The blacklight room was my favorite because it was interesting to play "in the dark" and see each other glow like a Cheshire Cat!The artwork was pretty cool too! However, it was this room that got pretty warm and a little stuffy, there are fans but it got a little sweaty especially with the competitive nature of our group! The holes didn't have anything fancy like a windmill or contraptions to move your ball or huge figurines, but the mini putt course had some difficult corners, slopes, obstacle blocks and awkward angles to keep it interesting. The last hole was special because if you got a hole in one, you get a free game and your picture taken and put on the Wall of Fame! At the end of the game, the guy counted out scores (in his head, pretty quick and accurately!) and the winner got a Kinder Surprise Egg! A pretty sweet reward for winning a round of mini putt. Plenty of parking and the establishment is bright, clean and has a mini fun area to sit and play giant Jenga. There is also a room for a birthday party and 2 large washrooms. Overall, a fun and different activity to do on our rainy or even sunny days in Richmond. Incredibly friendly staff, atmosphere is great. A dog even greeted me, so cute! The actual course is nice and fun for the price. The whole experience is great, they give you a choice of treats if you are the winner of your group. In my case, I ran into a tie breaker so they paid for our electric darts to battle it out.
