Emma and Elise were both helpful in checking me in. There are multiple bathrooms and one shower here to use. Lots of cubbies to put your belongings into. The studio is beautiful and relaxing, you can tell it's been well maintained! I signed up for the introductory offer which was two class for $20. You have 2 weeks to use the classes. I ended up taking Jason's hot vinyasa classes both times, one of which was a 75 minute class. Jason is very helpful when it comes to hitting the poses correctly and with good form. He is also very motivating and pushes you to try your absolute best! I felt great after both classes and highly recommend trying them out! I will definitely be back here for more classes and hopefully a massage too.

This place gets 4 stars and one star deducted because I had some trouble with the hot vinyasa class today. Read on and I'll explain. Jason, the owner, is really nice and I thought he truly embodies yoga philosophy. He definitely provided a lot of great lessons in his class today, so I really appreciated that. My challenge is that he went thru a few difficult sequences with us and then gave us free time to flow. I, for some reason, just blanked on the sequence as I realize I do need some simple cues to move me thru the entire sequence. It was fine, and I just flowed in the way my body wished, but I guess, I was looking for a little more instruction. Now, I know what to expect, so I'll be better able to freestyle next time. I didnt entirely love all the music choices, but it worked for a pretty intense, sweaty class! This is a gorgeous studio and I loved the design as everything was in darker hues so during savasana, the room almost was completely dark. They have a few bathrooms, so that's nice and also one shower room. The lobby is well organized with also a central bench so people can sit and wait until the next class starts or chill out after their class. There are also two massage rooms here and very beautiful. This plaza is always busy, with Ghost Ranch here and Landis Bike shop too. Parking lot is tight. If you're a new student, they offer 2 classes for $20 and that's a great deal! Even minus the special, I can see myself coming here as this place is super close to me. I also haven't practiced Mysore in a long time and would love to get back into that again. A wonderful solid studio, I'll definitely be back!

I suspect the monthly price is actually ridiculous, but that's up to you to decide because I'm not paying! Ok let's talk about the bad things first, and they're not bad enough to lower it from 5-stars: 1. The place gets busy. Too busy, in my humble introvert opinion. Not much you can do about that, but avoid peak hours. 2. Every other gym I've gone to uses tape to mark their routes, which means any route can use any climbing hold. At this gym, they color code them BY THE HOLDS, and then the route difficulty is by color also, which means there are lots of cool holds that you'll never get to touch simply because they're a different color from the difficulties you're doing. This does limit the variety somewhat. Ok, everything else is good. The facility itself has like, everything. I don't even want everything - I just want to boulder. But they've got a vast outdoor area to relax or play in, studios, weights, and some wild varieties of climbing gear. The bouldering area is very large, with all kinds of features that I don't even know the official names for, but you can climb over and under and around pretty much any type of scenario you could want. The mats are premium, and they have down-climb holds in a lot of areas which is great for people like me who try to avoid higher-impact falls. While I do appreciate the hole-in-the-wall grungy gyms where things might be a little more personal and less crowded, I honestly think you'll have trouble finding a better climbing gym than this, anywhere.

I was greeted warmly by the owner of the studio -Jim- when I first arrived, waiver quick and easy to fill out. $15 reasonably priced drop-in rate :) Lobby is cute, bohemian-like with nice water features and plants. The building itself was clearly built in the 80s or something, low ceilings kind of stuffy. It's evident the yoga studio was once a doctors office or something. While this certainly doesn't help the ambiance it doesn't kill it either! Jim did a great job rescuing the vibe with fresh paint and cozy decor. The studio space is painted in a deep golden hue, very inviting feeling. Great move with the dark wood! Nice large mirrored wall, warm lighting. Class started a few minutes late, but nobody -including myself - seemed to mind much. Great for intuitive organic movement! When Jim teaches, his expertise shines through. His cues are strong and direct, his voice is firm but loving. He leaves great time for silence and feeling out the postures just as much as he weaves in wisdom and strong vinyasas! I LOVED his class! I felt very safe in the space, especially with Jim's hands-on adjustments. I say this with sincerity, regarding the #metoo movement and it's very real existence in the yoga world - I felt SAFE. These adjustments were gentle and the touch was non-invasive. He made his presence known, gave the adjustment, then removed himself from the situation just as quickly as he arrived. This was my first proper class at Yoga Nirvana and I really enjoyed it. I walked out feeling like I just gave my body and soul a gift. I was sweaty yet serene. I hope to go back very soon!

I was fortunate enough to meet Master Kim. 35 years before my first meeting with Master Kim I had a 300 lb box fall directly on the top of my head from 8 feet high. Luckily I was young... about 36 years old and I was fortunate enough not to have broken my neck. However, for the next 35 years I was unable to turn my head more than 15 degrees to either side. Sure, one learns to live with it and that range of motion became the norm for me. Util I walked into Body & Brain... which my wife has been attending classes for years, and spent just an hour with Master Kim. Yeah, I know you are thinking snake oil or some kind of temporary adjustment and pseudo psychological healing.... Same thing I thought when my wife used to beg me to go in and see Master Kim. I am here to tell you that within an hour my head would turn to the right and left at a full 45 degrees. You know how it is an effort to get up off the floor even though you are not overweight? What separates Grateful Yogini is the transparent intimacy that is sincere and genuine which naturally come through in the teaching practice. My buddies and I attended the mediation class on Thursday night. The normal instructor was ill so we were fortunate enough to have the owner, Gretchen, run our class. The google maps location wasn't exactly accurate but we found the studio located in the complex with the sign PHHacility sign on the side of the building. Despite the studio being located next to a basketball facility, it was easy to fall deep into meditation with the white noise and calming music taking up the background. Gretchen was connecting and attentive when she instructed throughout the class and the studio had all the gear needed to facilitate a complete experience. I'm certainly coming back. The first time client drop in class rate was only $7. I will be buying the five classes package for $40 and bringing more friends. I give Grateful Yogini the highest recommendation.
