    My experience at this Spectrum location was extremely disappointing and frustrating. After our internet cable modem stopped working, my mother visited this store for assistance. Shockingly, the representative advised her to cancel our current account entirely and open a new one just to qualify for a promotional rate. This immediately raised red flags -- it felt deceptive and predatory, especially toward elderly customers like my mom. We chose not to cancel and instead contacted Spectrum's customer service directly. The tech support team confirmed I could swap out the malfunctioning modem at this store the same day. However, once I arrived with the equipment, I was told by Janet Garcia that she couldn't process the exchange due to another "device" showing on the account. She offered no real help and simply directed me to call customer service again -- something I had already completed. Regardless, I again reached out to the customer service line. While still on the phone with a representative, and after some back and forth, Janet did complete the equipment swap. But when I asked for the serial number of the old modem to help the rep on the line troubleshoot the account issue, Janet refused to provide it, claiming it had already been taken to the back. Only after I insisted did she retrieve the serial number and scribble it onto a piece of paper. To make matters worse, after further investigation, the phone representative confirmed there was never another box on my account. The information Janet gave was completely incorrect and caused unnecessary confusion and delay. What's most concerning is the sense that this location prioritizes upselling and misleading customers -- particularly elderly and non-English-speaking members of the community -- over actually helping resolve basic issues. Whether it was incompetence, indifference, or an attempt to take advantage of my mother by pushing a new account, the end result was a simple modem exchange turning into a frustrating ordeal. Before I left, I asked for Janet's business card. I was told they didn't have any. I then asked her to write her full name on the paper she had just handed me, and she intentionally misspelled her last name as "Harcia" with an "H" instead of Garcia - her real last name. (Picture attached) That was the final red flag. If you or a loved one experience something similar here, I strongly encourage you to file a formal complaint with Spectrum and consider reporting the incident to the Federal Trade Commission. Customers deserve honesty and basic respect -- especially at a service location meant to help them.

    1 minute read: Spectrum is on the ball. We've bee customers for YEARS now and have always experienced good, courteous service, whether in person or on the phone. It's a needed commodity.

    Worst than a DMV, expect to wait for 3-4 hours. There are 10 windows, only 2-3 works. Maybe hire more workers and stop being greedy.

On our side, both our residential buildings and our main office building have HTS monitoring, alarm systems, and full camera setups. After dealing with a bunch of vendors over the years, HTS has easily been the most reliable group we've worked with. They installed and maintain everything cameras, security systems, fire alarms and they handle all of our alarm monitoring. They also did a media room for our building in West Hollywood. The team is very responsive; when something comes up, they actually answer and send someone out without all the back and forth. The coffee shops needed a mix of security & networking and HTS handled it without getting in the way of customers. The on-site crew was polite, efficient, and worked clean. We plan on continuing with them as we upgrade more buildings. Big recommendation from the CRE side. They've made our job a lot easier.

The good: -We have a movie room with a home theatre system -- it has been pretty solid to date. The only downside is that you have to press 2 buttons - one to turn on the sound & picture feed, and the other to turn on the projector - but that was apparently an issue with the projector. Otherwise, it has operated pretty well, with good sound and subwoofers. The ok: -In general, the programming is ok. We've got a Crestron system with controlling multiple sets of recessed lights. After some tinkering, I've been able to create my own presets - for dinner, post-dinner, etc. -The technicians that have come out to fix issues that have popped up have been competent. The bad: -With a complex system like this, stuff does go wrong. I lost my ability to control Crestron lights for about a month. My security system DVR went kaput -- just stopped working one day. I do expect some level of this but... -So far the service from Lior has been atrocious. He does not return calls or e-mails in a timely fashion, and tries to get out of doing any work to maintain/fix the system. He does not answer simple questions about how the system is wired so I can try troubleshooting myself. After many back and forths and lots of waiting in between, I gave up. As a result, i had to use another provider (Circuit Genius) to fix the problems that were caused by Smart Home Innovations. -In addition, every person that has been in the house who knows anything about network installations usually asks - "what were they thinking when they wired it like this?" That does not raise my level of confidence in their work. In conclusion, I recommend you do not use Smart Home Innovations for any of your audio, video, or security, especially for a big investment in networking your home. Again hard to evaluate ahead of time I guess but this also required extra work and 2nd set-up day. Finally could be useful if they accepted credit cards which my understanding was that they don't. Overall, highly recommended for sure. Great equipment with great service at what I can only think of as a great price. Thanks again to Smart Homes for the amazing job!

He even discovered a damaged wire in one of my walls and went above and beyond to get everything working through another cable port. He was incredibly patient while I shifted things around so he could reach the panel in my closet, and he also helped me update my SSID and password, which I really appreciated! The #1 issue is that if you ever…read morehave a problem with your internet that requires anything more than merely restarting your modem you are going to be placed in technical support limbo for days, weeks, and maybe even months. As noted in other reviews, the way in which the customer service works is by transferring you to a representative that at best can only ask you to unplug your router and plug it back in again. If you have a more serious problem, then the best they can do is refer you to their mysterious "tier 2" team. They will tell you that your issue has been escalated and to expect a call back the same day or the following day. Currently, I have been waiting back to hear from this team for a month. I have called over and over again and I am unable to reach a single individual who can help me with my problem. This is a nightmare for someone who works at home and requires stable internet to do their job well. Reading other reviews and looking online demonstrates that this is a common enough problem that signing up for this service is a bad idea. If you are searching for an apartment and you find one that offers BAI connect, I encourage you to keep searching and to tell the apartment management that you will not be submitting an application because of the ISP they chose. Trust me, you do not want to be stuck in this hellish scenario of wasting hours of your time weeks on end to get no where. What you are paying for is just not worth it. I have been a customer of ATT and Spectrum, while both have their failings, I can at the very least say that I was able to get a hold of someone who could help me eventually. If your service works as intended, then great, but do not get fooled by reviews written in the best of circumstances. If one thing goes wrong you are going to suffer for it because they are either too lazy, incompetent, or just plain spiteful to help you get your issue resolved. Finally, if this review speaks to your own experience, please leave your own review on yelp and file a complaint with the FTC. They are defrauding their customers on the most basic level by denying them access to adequate customer support. Further, make your voice heard and force apartment buildings to seek better service providers. Avoid BAI connect at all costs.
