I had a ceiling speaker system that came with my new home purchase, but I had no idea how it was wired or how it was supposed to work. To make matters worse, I started experiencing some very strange issues with the speakers and couldn't figure out what was causing them. Installation King came out, thoroughly diagnosed the problem, explained what was going on, and resolved the issue. What I appreciated most was that they didn't try to upsell me. Instead, they took the time to walk me through the system and provided several options based on my needs and budget. They were professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and easy to work with from start to finish. Their pricing was very fair, and I felt confident I was getting honest advice throughout the process. If you need help with home audio, speakers, smart home systems, or troubleshooting existing wiring, I highly recommend Installation King. Great service and a great experience overall. read more

I tried to find some to install our TV after a move to our new apartment, quickly and neatly with no wall damage. Using a non-Yelp source to find options (what was I thinking???). Everyone was saying 2 weeks blah blah. So I went on Yelp and Installation King responded in minutes and we started the dialog about options. Got it sorted at 7pm on Saturday and arranged for installation today (Monday) at 10am. Despite the problems with parking Eugene arrived a did a spectacular job. Another thoughtful aspect was that IK texted to let us know he was on his way, and then ETA. Extra thoughtful in this day and age was to send us a pic of Eugene as he was driving here. BTW if you get Eugene as your installer you will be pleased!! All in all, good service and good value! read more

Lex was outstanding! He installed an 85" TV on our wall, cleaned up several wires and cables, hooked up a receiver, subwoofer, soundbar and speakers. He helped carry the tv up the stairs, showed me how to use the new equipment and left no mess-- and the price was very fair. I would highly recommend Installation King and will definitely use them again. read more

I called Installation King for help with wiring up my house for ethernet. They installed 7 total runs including 2 running outside for ethernet security cameras. They also helped me strategize my wiring management and recommended the right switching equipment to buy. The price for the work was an incredible value, far ahead of what other companies had quoted. The work was professional and finished within the quoted time frame. I would definitely recommend talking to Installation King if you need ethernet wiring in your home. read more

We moved so we had installation kings come out again to mount our TVs. After doing the intake over the phone, the technician came out and we were told there would be additional charges for what we wanted to do and that he did not do any drywall patching. The quote was then way more than what we were expecting so we didn't move forward with the work. We were then told they had a $75 cancellation fee - something we were never told over the phone. I've never had this happen before. Even with our other handyman, plumbers, etc. - if you can't do the work, you don't get paid for NOT doing the work. We were told that this would cover gas expenses - why take a job that is out of your network? They knew our address well before coming out. Also, some of our intake conversations were over text, so I wish we discussed the job over photos so they knew what we wanted to do in terms of the job and give us a proper quote. Just felt very scammy and weird after them asking for money without starting the job. read more

I had Installation KIng for a computer and A/V install in my home office. Their tech. Alex, came to my home office in the Brentwood area. He arrived on-time and proceeded to do more and better than I could have hoped for. Alex moved wires and cables, had extra parts in his van. Not a wire or cable was left in view! He did much more than I believed could happen. There were no additional charges for the parts he used from his van. After all was complete and tested, he vacumed the work area and left it in immaculate condition. The service was NOT INEXPENSIVE, but to me, it was well worth it! I do not hesitate to recommend them. read more

Very neat job. Would definitely recommend him. Was on time for the project. The price was what he quoted me.

I requested to have my damaged TV dismounted and to have a new TV mounted. Eugene did a flawless job. He helped me manage my HDMI cables through the back channel on the TV too. The TV he mounted is a LG G5. Would recommend. read more

We hired IK based on Yelp reviews for a Ring installation. I paid the high rate but asked for someone that was experienced with Ring for help with best practices in set-up. (Ring set-up doesn't need a licensed electrician) We didn't get that. It was his first Ring installation. I could've/should've done it myself or hired a handyman. We sent him home after a few hours and installed the rest ourselves. Overpaid and under-serviced ‍ read more

I contacted Installation King about installing a TV mount for my new Samsung "The Frame" TV Pro 65". I also needed to have a recessed electrical outlet installed as the one I had was not recessed. I was very happy to find out that Installation King is not only an installation company but they are also licensed electricians. From the first phone call forward, they were professional, informational (they have mounted many of these TVs) and friendly. My technician Konstantin got right to work the minute he arrived (on time) and got the job done in less than 2 hours. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future if the need arrises. read more

These guys did an amazing job setting up my home theater. I bought a (nice) projector over a year ago and found the setup extremely daunting. Found Installation King online and they had my whole setup done within the day. The workers were all very friendly and efficient in their job. I will definitely be hiring them again in the near future! read more

We hired them for some tricking data line wiring. The did a decent job given the complexity of the run but they left some damage and didn't tell us about it. I felt somewhat bothered a few days later when I discovered a bathroom fan exhaust vent duct had been crushed because it was laid on. is a 6" diaper thing metal duct that got squished to the point that air would not flow out properly. I would have appreciated if they just informed me of it at least. Sometimes things happen. read more

I found Ben / Installation Kings at a serious dead end for me - I had multiple other teams come out to try to install our Frame TV to complete and utter failure. First company said that they could do it by cutting *FIVE* holes in my beautiful, expensive, and most importantly *unpatchable* plaster wall which would forever scar the artisanal handwork finish with *FIVE* visible aberrations. Another team said they could run the OneConnect cable "discreetly" in one of those plastic feeding tubes that runs over the wall, which would defeat the entire purpose of getting a Frame TV that is supposed to look like a gallery piece. Even my wonderful contractor suggested that we have the plaster company replaster the entire wall if we want to move forward. Guys, I was in a really dark place over this. Nearly everyone said "Why don't you give up? Why don't you just return it and get a different TV?" BUT I PERSEVERED. From the moment I found this Yelp page and called Ben to ask about installing our Frame TV I knew I was in good hands. He immediately suggested a backbox for the TV as a solution whereas the other installers had no idea what I was talking about. He was super responsive and transparent about timeframe, pricing, etc. He also seemed to truly care about the aesthetics of hanging the Frame TV (which is literally the whole point of buying The Frame to begin with). He asked me to email him photos of the setup after our call and got back to me immediately on budget, timeline, and potential complications for the install. Next thing I know Michael is at our house installing the Frame - Michael may actually be my hero. He was so methodical and detail-oriented and boy was the installation a b*tch. The plaster was unexpectedly like the thickness of concrete which Michael handled so beautifully and with such precision. At a certain point Michael had to go outside (in the pouring rain by the way) to do a last minute WELDING job to cut and seal a metal box. He was like a hybrid electrician/contractor/metal worker/builder. It was amazing to watch. And now, the TV is done and *it* is amazing to watch. We truly couldn't be happier and it's amazing to know that all the haters were wrong and now they eat their words when they come over and compliment us on our TV that they don't even know is a TV. I would only ever use Installation Kings, truly - do yourself a huge favor and ghost the other guys you got a quote from! read more
