I have employed High Definition Audio/Video twice, to update my home audio system, and recently to install a new 77" television. On both occasions, Shawn has been punctual, and professional, doing an excellent job! He and his men also take care to protect my home and property while completing the task. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Shawn, and will certainly hire him again in the future! read more

We had a really good experience with this company. We needed our TV mount quickly today. The service we originally added from Amazon came out but told us that they couldn't hide the wires. To our disappointment, I quickly searched on Yelp. 'High Definition Audio and Video' called me a second later and said they were able to do it the same day with a fair price. They were super responsive. They showed up on time and mounted the TV in a timely manner in the same day. I am impressed by how efficient they were. I would highly recommend this company! (When you buy a TV from Amazon, don't add on the mounting service; call 'High Definition Audio and Video' instead. You will not regret it! ) read more

High Definition Audio Video - They mounted the TV and hid the wires inside! Beautiful work - Home Theatre Installation Near Me

I hired Shawn to mount two 43" and one 55". The price was fair, Shawn arrived an hour later and was efficient. The reason for only three stars is because one of the 43" TV's was loose - the bottom two screws connecting the back of the TV to the mount were not screwed in all the way, leaving a loose gap that I noticed when adjusting my TV later that night. I figured out how to remove the TV from the wall piece, and when I went to screw the screws in the rest of the way, I learned that the holes must not have been deep enough - they wouldn't go further. So I pulled out a couple of rubber washers that came with the mounting hardware to stick into the loose space and presto! My TV is now securely fastened to the mount, and replaced onto the wall piece. I don't feel like I should have had to do that. Even if the screws would not screw in further, Shawn could have communicated that to me in the moment (so we could figure out together that using the washers would solve the problem) instead of just leaving it that way. read more

Shawn at High-Definition Audio/Video did an outstanding job for us in Los Angeles. Our house was prewired for a very elaborate multi-zone control system and surround setup, but we ultimately didn't want to go down the complicated (and expensive) route. Shawn designed a Sonos-based solution that was far more budget-friendly while still delivering everything we wanted -- and it turned out beautifully. He implemented a 5-zone Sonos system, including a Sonos surround theater setup, and installed 18 indoor and outdoor speakers plus two TVs (including a 98" TV). He also came up with some genuinely innovative mounting solutions for the outdoor speakers that look clean and intentional. What impressed me most was his professionalism and patience. The existing wiring had some challenges, and Shawn worked through them carefully rather than taking shortcuts. He also improved our network by installing an Eero router system for noticeably better Wi-Fi coverage, and he set up a 5-camera Ring security system. After the main install, Shawn came back for follow-ups to make sure everything was dialed in, and he did a thorough walkthrough so we felt confident using and managing the system. We couldn't be more pleased with his work and professionalism. If you want A/V done right, I highly recommend High-Definition Audio/Video and Shawn. read more

Above and beyond. I had a TV delivered from Best Buy the night before that I hired Shawn to help me mount. As we were unboxing the new TV to mount it we discovered a large crater in the middle of the TV, as if someone had kicked it! You can imagine how crestfallen I was. Shawn immediately offered to help me return the TV to Best Buy for a refund and acquire a new TV. This being a 65" TV I did not have an adequate vehicle to transport it in so he offered to take me in his truck. I can't put into words how grateful I am for this service, because the process of returning a broken TV that I can't transport and waiting for a new one to be delivered would have been weeks. Shawn was an absolute hero and I was watching my new mounted TV that same night. He is the absolute man. He 100% knows his stuff and I would trust him with any kind of TV or audio work. His prices are fair and he works very efficiently and cleanly and was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for saving the day for me Shawn. read more

We had an interesting problem of a house where the wifi did not extend from one end of the house to the other. The challenge is that we didn't want to use WIFI at all. We want to use wired connections. We did have co-axial cable throughout the house from the old TV days. Shaun came three times to solve this problem. We did the research on how to go from Co-axial to ethernet. He was willing to go on our ride and help us achieve our goals. End result - wired house, wifi not required. read more

I put in a project request on Yelp and they responded very quickly. They gave me a price and told me they could install my TV bracket the next day (Sunday) so I booked them and closed my project. Then they called me back and told me they overbooked so they wouldn't be able to do the job until Monday. I specifically wanted the job done on the weekend and felt misled/bait & switch - that's why I knocked them a star. I still went with them for the following Saturday and they did a great job, arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. read more

Long post but wanted to give you context. My mother and I haven used Shawn to mounts two TVs in the past. I actually found out about Shawn through my mother. She had her Samsung 55" TV mounted 8 yrs ago by Shawn and did an excellent job. The mount was heavy duty and Shawn found the studs in one shot. My mother didn't want to see the cable cord and power cords so he hid them through the wall and created an outlet for them to be plugged in. It was very clean looking and an excellent job. Elder people want things done their way or no way LOL. Then I used Shawn six years ago to mount my Samsung 55" TV on an all brick wall attached to my fireplace. Again Shawn did a fantastic job. I was worried because I wasn't sure that the TV would be secure on brick but Shawn found the studs behind the brick. Amazing! Fast forward, 9 yrs later my mom passed we remodeled her house which entailed dismounting the TV at my moms. Once remodeling was done I called Shawn to come and remount my moms 55" TV and another 32" monitor that I thought I could use if I was only going to stream via ROKU. Well it wouldn't quite work because the monitor wasn't driven by a remote so we would have to go to the monitor on the wall and turn it on in the bedroom. Lessen learned. I have to go buy same size TV 32" and Shawn graciously said he would swing by to install the TV since the mount was already installed on the wall. I am posting a picture of my install and will be posting the picture at my moms. Thank you! read more

I contacted Shawn for help getting with our home audio system. Since moving into our house we had never been able to get the existing audio receiver and speakers throughout the home to work. After describing the issues to Shawn he offered a couple of possible solutions and then set a time to come to the house. He brought a new receiver and within an hour or two had the whole system working. A few weeks later I ended up asking Shawn for help installing additional indoor & outdoor speakers, which he handled at a follow up appointment. Overall we were extremely happy with the results, and Shawn was great to work with. Great communication and customer service, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for these services. read more
