The service was remarkably easy and fast to set up. If I have any issues, I can just drive down and talk to the friendly staff in-person instead of dealing with the frustrations of explaining my situation to staff over the phone, especially if I can tell they are in another country. My only disappointment so far is that though I received a free internet upgrade, my internet now seems more spotty and slower than before. Sometimes I get disconnected multiple times per night. My experience with them so far has been much better than other internet/cable providers in the area. read more

Buyer beware...read the fine print. I had Spectrum internet service for two years. The service was fine...relatively reliable, and not outrageously priced. Unfortunately, our relationship ended on a sour note when I canceled service about 1.5 weeks after the start of my billing cycle, and they refused to pro-rate the charges, instead demanding the full $100 for the "month" of service. Evidently, this is in the fine print that I agreed to, so I paid it, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. I reached out to customer service, and received plenty of "apologies for the inconvenience", but nothing else. Not a great experience. read more

Spectrum is the worse. They don't properly take care of equipment and old account, so they will illegally use your contact information for contracts. I used to have Warners 8 years ago, and Spectrum used my information for a contract with an apartment complex. They won't solve the issue until police and BBB get involved. read more

Our service was good for the first year, but once they upped the price, it was terrible. I had to reset our modem & router at least once a week just to have any wifi at all. I called to request a fix, but it just sent me to a robot that reset my modem from the phone, which still didn't fix the issue. It was so frustrating that we finally just switched over to Ziply. read more

After five years of being model customers, we sold a townhome in Pullman. The sale closed on the same day (and service discontinued on the same day) that Spectrum's monthly billing began. Their "monthly subscription" billing system forced us to pay for a whole month of service ($185) for a few HOURS of live service. None of this was discussed when discontinuation of service was arranged. A phone call to customer service was basically "too bad - nothing we can do for you". There's actually "nothing they CHOOSE to do for you". They actually don't care about their customers at all - run like the wind. read more

Over priced and awful internet speed. If you want to get internet you might as well rub two bricks together create friction and build your own router because the speeds will be about the same. Maybe your own creation would even be faster. And if you call them and complain about how slow it is. (Because trust me, it will be slow). There service is okay. It is what it is. What is troublesome to me is that one of their drivers nearly ran me off the road and into a ditch on 195N between Pullman and Colfax. This driver drove up on my bumper the entire 16 mile drive. If I had to stop for any reason - like a slow moving combine which there are a lot of - he would've easily smashed into my car. At times he would get closer like right up on my bumper (I was going 60 in a 65) and he would wildly gesticulate (think middle fingers) like I wasn't going fast enough. As a single female driving alone, it made me feel threatened. What if I would've ended up in a ditch? If the drivers/servicemen are so careless when their vehicle is clearly marked, it really makes me worry about the quality of services and how sprectrum wants to be viewed within the community. I guess since they are the only option, they don't care. I reported the incident, but no one cared. read more

We originally were with Time Warner Cable, when TWC was bought out by Spectrum. They raised the rates twice over the course of one year. Now we find out that they are going to raise the rates again. We called and wanted to find out why this is so. They said we were in a "grandfathered" package, and we would be going to full retail rate. So within the course of a single year, our monthly price (for just internet at 30mbps) went up from $39.99 to $64.99. When asking about their advertised $44.99 promotion, they told us that the $44.99 was only for the new customers. You would figure that they would treat the older customers a little bit more respect. However, that they would NOT work with us. Their only offer was to either keep the horrible speed at $64.99, or "upgrade" to a higher package at a much higher rate. Their service has been unacceptable. Speeds slow way down during peak times, and disconnects are common. Additional info: When we called to cancel our membership with Spectrum, they were willing to work with us. YAY! We talked to their retention department and they gave us the new subscriber rate for $44.99 for the next 12 months. read more

Genuinely one of the most duplicitous companies I ever had the displeasure of work with. I cancelled services with them on the phone, disconnected my wifi modem, and returned it before the end of the month. They still charged for the following month. It took almost two weeks get a supervisor to call me (even after requesting several times). After explaining I had cancelled and returned my equipment they claimed they had no evidence to prove it had been cancelled and threatened to take the bill to collections. Considering it was $50 bill, a multimillion dollar corp could have forgiven a customer of 5 years. But I guess instead they will bleed you for every last penny if you give them a chance. read more

The worst customer service experience I can remember having in years. It has been two weeks since I called to set up business service and it is still not installed. From setup to completion Jerri was there to guide us and make sure everything went smooth. My Wife and I own a small business in town and have had many problems with frontier, we voiced our concerns to Jerri and she gave us a plan that would fit all our needs and cost way less. Jerri customized a way more affordable plan for us and came in person during installation to make sure our phone lines didn't go down. Our building is very old Jerri and found a more efficient process of installation for us which was incredible. I would highly recommend Jerri from Spectrum to anyone who wants a faster more efficient plan and an actual live person instead of an automated service. Jerri is the bomb! read more

I wish there was an option of No Stars. There is absolutely no customer service available to me because I do not have a phone--phone service is the only method they accept for discontinuance of service. I requested discontinuance of my service 3 times through their chat service. Authorized reps told me they were not authorized to cancel my account. They promised to flag my account with the message that I want cancellation because I was out of the country. I have no contract and was a month to month basis but they can not provide evidence that I requested service for the months they are billing. I finally got an account suspension notice and even after the account was suspended, they continued to bill me additional monthly charges. I tried to go back to Chat, but they disconnected their Chat service JUST FOR ME!!!! I found that they were able to be brought before a judge in Small Claims Court and that is my next step. Also, I think it is horrible that they bill Albionites more for the same identical service that they charge Pullmanites for. read more

I have called this company twice to start a new internet-only service, and the experience has been horrific. The first time, the sales representative argued that the price on the Spectrum website was wrong, did not exist, and insisted that I had to purchase a package deal, which was much more expensive. She even claimed that I was accessing the wrong website, which was untrue. I argued with her for 30 minutes until a manager got involved. The manager claimed that he could make an exception and give me the online price. I told them to forget it since they had wasted an hour of my time and appeared to try to lie and cheat me. During the second time, the experience was not much better. It took the sales representative nearly 20 minutes to give me the price of internet-only service. It appears that she was doing other things in the background. In comparison, it took me under 2 minutes to go to the Spectrum website and fill the required information out to start a new internet-only service. At this point, I am afraid to use the company, but like most areas, it is a monopoly. read more

I went into Time Warner Cable today and was helped almost immediately. The customer service was impeccable! I purchased the Turbo package (20/2Mbps) and it works beautifully! It's perfect for connecting your laptop, phone, and TV (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). The best part is it literally took me less than hour to set up everything. You will have to rent a modem (about $15) if you don't already have one though. Overall, I would highly recommend their internet service to anyone! read more

I'm moving so I needed to disconnect internet service. Did a search on Google and could not find a link (using "Time Warner Cable Moscow Idaho" as my search term) to find the website to log in to my account.. So I called the main number. After 10 - I'm not kidding, TEN submenues - to get to a choice that allowed me to say "disconnect - it routed me back to a customer service agent and I was immediately put on hold for 3 minutes. So annoying! Why make it so hard for a customer - who may already be upset - to cancel their service? The only reason I used TWC was for my internet, and it was $63 per month. Sixty three unbelievable dollars, for the slowest "hi-speed" service option! My family members who live somewhere there are choices among competitors pay $30 a month for the same service. read more
