The tower in Kendrick doesn't work, we never have service at our house or work. I wish someone else would buy the tower from them. Also, very expensive for no service. Cactus is amazing. Far and away my favorite local ISP…read more It's run by a small group of people who offer real, actual support. As in, pick up the phone, have it answered on the second ring, and have your internet fixed in 5-minutes. We've had their wireless service both at our home north of town, and my wife's business in town, for 2-years now, and both locations have gotten excellent service. I think I've had three outages in that time, and all of them have been resolved in less than 20 minutes. Their downtown store is also great, and on some components (networking cables, routers, etc.) competitively priced with much larger online competitors. The only downside is the limitation of the speed of their network. We have their 6mbit service (the fastest available). The great part is that (unlike Time Warner and other larger providers), when we run a speed test, it's typically at or over the 6mbit speed we're paying for. The less great part is that 6mbit isn't really that fast. Barely fast enough for Nextflix and other streaming, and pretty slow for downloading large files. I've heard rumors that they're planning to upgrade their network soon to enable higher speed connections, and I very sincerely hope they're true. Still, when you remember that you live in the middle of a wheat field in Idaho, 5-miles from the nearest town, in a place that can't get service from either Time Warner or Frontier (not that you'd want it) you count your lucky stars for an ISP like Cactus that gives you good, dependable internet service.

I do know their prices are a bit higher than online, as a reviewer complained. But this is a wider matter of supply chains providing products to larger companies versus locally owned stores. I've seen same thing in other businesses, where a lot of times products might not even be available for a smaller shop with the demand on national volumes of online markets. ​

About a month later, I returned to get help connecting my new phone. When I came in, Ben told me he would not help me and said he would call the police for trespassing. He also brought up my previous one-star review and said that it had caused him to get fined. I was very surprised by how I was treated. Customers should be able to leave honest feedback about their experiences without feeling like they will be treated differently afterward. I hope T-Mobile looks into this situation and makes sure customers are treated with respect.
