I was in the Oviedo, FL (32765) Spectrum store the other day hoping to swap out an old modem for a new one. Didn't have to wait at all, in fact there was a rep, Yanny, standing right inside the door waiting to greet me and he brought me right back to his desk. He replaced my old, jank modem/router-in-one combo for a newer setup that included both a modem and separate router, which I prefer, and then explained how to connect both to each other, as well as the internet in detail. He even thought enough to throw in a new coax cable and the extra Ethernet cord I would need to get it all going and made sure I knew what number and at what point in the setup process to call in and activate the equipment, making setting it up myself a breeze when I got home. After that, he offered to take a look at my service, which was for internet only, and told me he could do better... In the end he a uadrupled my internet speed, added about 50 (give or take) tv channels I can access through any of my devices, and LOWERED my monthly bill by ten bucks. Considering I was in and out of the store in 15 minutes, I'd say that's a lot to accomplish... HEY SPECTRUM, Yanny's a definite keeper and your Oviedo Store is kicking ass. Spectrum billing and customer service is a nightmare. And since I received horrendous service in "Chat," I decided to go to the Spectrum office and tell them about the service or lack of, that I received last night. I am being told that their customer services are a separate issue, because they can't tell what's been done in phone in or Chat, customer service. The attending representative at the office was saying he could not fix the issue, nor could he give me any credits towards "THEIR ERRORS!" So adding to the FIASCO, last night, where I thought I was speaking to an Ai, and not a human. This person called herself Brenda, and she seemed NOT to understand English. (I hung up twice hoping I'd get another person, but I kept getting BRENDA... lol, If I could give a minus 5, I would! ‍If you can avoid this company, go some where else. read more

Switched with a buy off offer. Should be $400+ coming back after paying off my phones at ATT to switch to Spectrum. Of course when I contact them a month later "my account isn't eligible". Bait and switch. Awful customer service. Liars. It's obnoxious to have to deal with this in 2024. read more

Similar experience to other posts: The lone associate was lounging on 1 of the couches when I walked in to drop-off my modem, which the automated system says that you can do...when I informed the person as to why I was there, I was told that equipment is returned to any UPS store...when I told him that Spectrum's automated system states that equipment can be returned to any Spectrum store, the guy tells me that that is incorrect information... I later called Spectrum & spoke to a representative, who totally contradicted what the kid in the store told me... It's totally bogus, no matter which way you wanna try & slice this - I'm cancelling my Spectrum service now, as a result... read more

***READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU VISIT*** Like other reviewers, I visited to simply drop off a modem. No big deal, right? I arrived with one other woman who was doing the same thing. There were about 4 employees and three customers, one being a couple. After waiting a few minutes, a free employee approached. They were very busy, he told us. We should leave and go to the UPS store. I asked if we could simply leave the modem behind. After all, the back of the modem has the information. I was told no, they could not do that. After all, they would have to scan the modem. Access the account. And...they could violate the line after all. I could agree with his assessment. To leave a modem behind simply couldn't be done. He would, later on, use a hand scanner, lifted by his hand and arm, and then, with the fortitude of soldiers getting out of the landing craft at Normandy, squeeze the trigger and then gave the computer self populate. So off to UPS I went. UPS has competition, you see, and they prove what we like to call, 'service.' So, being discrete, I timed how long the process took. To scan the modem, enter the information, AND print a receipt for me (this was epic on their part) it took 1 minute and 19 seconds. Now, before one thinks this is a standard cable company rant, I actually got a phone once from the spectrum store in winter park. They were helpful and spent a long time with the transfer of my data, while helping out an angry woman who had another issue. She ended up leaving this place. So...trust me. The worst customer service and staff. I was told to drop off equipment at any of their retail locations and when arriving at the store all associates remained sitting down either on the couch or at the tables and not even professionally greeted as if I was interrupting their screen time. When I was finally acknowledged the rep screamed across the room saying to drop off at UPS and then her/he head dropped back to the iPhone for more screen time. I'd give a 0 if I could. Their customer service is terrible. We're going on 5 days without internet service. Spectrum claims this is because of Hurricane Ian and they claim they're working as quickly as possible on social media. But their support agent told me they haven't even dispatched technicians. On one hand, they post on social media they're working but I got an email that said they won't begin work until power is restored. Power is restored in my area. And Spectrum competition started repairing service days ago. Spectrum is straight up lying to clients and have yet to give a substantial update nor do we have an ETA and you know they'll want their bills paid on time. The pseudo monopoly in my area means I cannot find a different internet provider and spectrum could care less about providing good service to their customers. As someone who works in customer support, I find spectrum's approach to this issue appalling. I will be switching as soon as ATT internet is available in my area. If you can use anyone else, do it. Spectrum internet randomly goes out throughout the week even when there's no inclement weather. read more

Excellent customer service, I went to exchange a router and the gentleman that helped me (Yanni) was courteous, kind and definitely knowledgeable of the products, services and setup. He was able to reduce my bill and got me a free phone line and TV service for the house for less than the price I was paying before. read more

I was in the Oviedo store three times to activate my phone- my own fully paid and no restrictions iPhone. This store has the rudest and most incompetent people working I've ever seen. THREE HOURS. STILL couldn't figure it out - all he had to do is activate my own phone. Complete incompetence and zero customer service skills/ trying to act as if it's not his fault he messed it up. I finally left with no service- HE CHARGED MY CARD $55!!! No service!! Completely inept. Avoid this store at all costs! read more

Terrible service. Had to go in to return a modem - they tell you to sign in at this kiosk that is absolutely horrendous!! The screen barely works, you have to sit there hitting the same button 10+ times for it to enter 1 letter. Then there is 1 person working for ALL services - I just needed to drop off a modem!! read more

New location-lousy service. Stood outside in 95 degree heat waiting 30 minutes to turn my equipment in. One girl working. Demanded $223 final payment even though my account said zero on line. Avoid Spectrum at all costs!!! read more
