If I could give zero stars I would! our internet went out and we informed customer service that there was an outage in our area and we would be informed when service was restored... We were never informed of service coming back on and I decided to cancel to get a new internet provider... I went to a store and cancelled then the next day they charged my card again! They claimed that the cycle was from the middle of the month and that they charged at the end of the month. I asked to be reimbursed for the days we had no service and the time remaining that we had on the current month since I cancelled. They told me that they "could not confirm we had no service during the outage" because I didn't call every single day to wait on hold for an hour in order to complain! The manager I spoke to was named Michael and speaking to him was a horrible experience! If you get spectrum your Internet will go out all the time and is completely unreliable and working with customer service is worse than having a root canal! read more

Be prepared to wait, even after it's your turn. Employees were just hanging out chatting. I think they work on commission, they tried to get me to sign up for their cell service. Told them I wasn't interested but they kept pressing asking me all types of questions. I just wanted to exchange my router. This location refuses to take cable box returns and sends everyone to UPS even though I was told by another location that they take cable boxes. I came in to get a box after I had been there an hour before to pick up a box. My husband who had a stroke is the authorized user on the account and they wouldn't help me. So we came back. They only had one person working and even though they knew all I needed was to pick up a box they made us wait 30 minutes while they were helping cell a phone to the person in front of us. So, remember when Brighthouse had to rebrand because of how horrible they were? Well, they're Spectrum now and nothing has changed. They are still horrible. Half the time the internet doesn't work and they are false advertising. I was on the phone with them for 3 hours trying to get a resolution to them double-dipping. I paid the internet and they were harassing my husband to pay the internet as well...in the same f'ing household. We have one router and one modem, how the hell are there 2 accounts. I talked to 6 different people today. The last one kept putting me on hold. Then it got disconnected. Our problem is not resolved. We spent 3 hours trying to explain that we were double charged and still had no internet. On top of that, they told my husband that he needed to bring his account up to date, so they could make changes, then when he paid they said the account had been disconnected. And I swear...the last person I talked to, was talking to the person I had been talking to before. I heard them laughing and I heard snippets like..."no, it was the wife... They are talking about transparency, reliability and excellent customer service...yeah, right...false advertising!!! People beware!!! read more

Spectrum is the best provider in the Avalon Park/Waterford Lakes are after 25 years of experiences with companies like Adelphia, Comcast/Exfinity, Britehouse and ATT. Spectrum was and is the only company that is even trying to better the customer experience. Comcast was the absolute worst. Whenever I have an issue with Spectrum they will try their best to resolve it with a very high success rate. Issues with equipment were fixed with a direct exchange at this store. Service to my household is usually resolved within the day. And lately have received a text notifying me of an outage and an expected fix by a certain time. I'm happy with that and their service overall. read more

Sometimes "cable stores" can be a nightmare but not the new Spectrum store! My cable box died and I needed a new one so I popped over to swap it out. There's a tablet set up at the entrance to sign in and let them know you are there. They also take reservations. The store was busy so I was worried I'd be waiting a while. They have a few couches and charging stations. So it was super comfy. But before I knew it I was called over. Lightning fast service! The employee quickly scanned my box and gave me a new one. Just a quick signature. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Very impressed. read more

They will nickel and dime you. They get you in on low rates then increase. Start your service at the 1st of the month if you go with them. They make you pay for a month service and won't pro-rated it if you discontinue service. read more

Spectrum is nearly a monopoly and they know it. They will increase their price at the drop of a hat and always will have an excuse as to why it went up. I can't wait for the day that ATT fiber cones to our neighborhood. But unfortunately it may be a long time coming. I had 8 price hikes to my account since Jan 2021. That's just insane. I have had bad experiences with spectrum in the past and would never go back to them again. To be clear this is towards the company and not an individual store. I recently moved and was forced to go with them for the supposed speed because of what the neighborhood offers. Worst decision ever! My wife works from home and would lose internet during working hours several times. Spectrum knew about it because they sent us an alert say there was and outage. We hated them so much we cancelled and went with ATT at like 5 times slower speed. It's been working great. I was recently sent a bill from spectrum for $74. Their explanation is that because I canceled a few days after billing cycle they are required to bill me for the entire month. I spoke with manager and they would not budge on this. I've worked with many companies and they very easily have the power to waive the fee for an unhappy costumer. Spectrum doesn't give a crap about complaints or bad reviews. They are slowly digging a grave for themselves. The customers have the power in numbers. You all have to start canceling them! That's the only way things will change. Don't get spectrum no matter what deal they give you. It will never be worth the problems you'll have. read more
