Probably the worst in store experience possible, almost like it was designed in hell by the devil himself to drive you to insanity. No one helps, no one tells you to check in, nothing is clear, something that should take 5 minutes will take you 2 hours at least to complete. Mandatory self install of all new equipment and have to return old equipment to them. Closest spectrum or UPS store is 40 minutes from our home. Get to the store in millbury at 10:15 only to find 2 employees working and 5 people ahead of us! Already here 15 minutes and no closer to dropping off the equipment!!! Really???? So finally returned the equipment- only took 1 hour and 18 minutes! Love being told by the only 2 employees working that I should have either made an appointment (like a restaurant I was told), gone to a UPS store or have come during the week!!! No apology, basically it's our own fault for the wait!!! Would do anything to have our town end it's lifelong contract with Spectrum! read more

I was turned away at the door - the store noted "please call them or go online because we have a 2+ hour wait for anything". I was just trying to return my modem in a box but they wouldn't accept it just to scan in unless we waited 2 hours. That's not to say line-cutting should happen, but more that there should be a drop-off for this type of thing that is simple and can be done in less than a minute. I eventually mailed it back via USPS, and yes it took less than a minute. I think this store has the issue of being the only one in the area and the first one in proximity to Boston so it's overcrowded. It's a pity because I had a great experience with all of the Spectrum stores in New York City and Spectrum was on its way to becoming my favorite internet provider. I went to the spectrum store in millbury ma to return a piece of equipment. There were 4 employees there and only one working. Ask why are the other people in back and not working response was they are setting up their cash drawers. Finally an employee comes out after 40 minutes and proceeds to walk out of the store I said going to lunch her reply I'm done working for the day! My thought why haven't you been working for the last 40 minutes. 2 employees now come out from the back and proceed to clean their desk, their eye glasses, computer screen for 10 minutes. They eventually started to work and did not say sorry for the wait or even recognize how long we all have been waiting there. I would never recommend going to this store unless you have 2 hours to wait for them. By the way my total time with an employee was 10 minutes!!! read more

My Spectrum experience was short, troubled from the start, and an example of a painful business model. The initial order lasted two beers long and had to be processed twice, due to a system glint during the first attempt. (Two beers long was about 45 minutes in regular time) The only saving grace was the counter support at the Millbury store. The self install plug and play process was a total failure. The line was never validated prior to the hardware connection and the voice prompt "call center support" was about as bad as it gets. An endless loop of failed attempts to communicate a solution was like herding cats in a rainstorm. It sucks at every prompt, repeatedly failing to correctly process a simple Yes/no response. Seriously, it's an exercise in patience and tolerance for incompetent business practices and protocols. Customer support is was NOT! The whole experience was about 6-8 hours long, more gas than it should have been, and a lessen learned. This was supposed to be a luxury for a few months, suddenly Reading a book isn't such a bad alternative. read more

first of all, it's zero stars for me. I left this store less than 10 minutes ago and couldn't wait to leave a horrible review because this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and we didn't even have a chance to be helped. Multiple people walked out due to the wait time and people walking in "with appointments" and cutting the line. One employee, a guy I don't know the name of, walked out for his break and came back then went to the back room for roughly 30 mins immediately after telling someone there was a 45 minute wait (they walked out). I understand needing a break but when there is a packed store and customers walking out and angrily expressing their frustration, the last thing you do is leave ONE person to run the entire store. They need to hire more people or offer overtime or whatever cause there was about 6 stations and 2 people working . Additionally, no one is welcomed when walking in the store or told to sign in, even with the kiosk right in front of you I watched multiple people walk right by confused about what to do and where to do. A customer was helped then left and came back and they told her she'd be next, skipping the irate customers ahead of her. I waited with a baby and my husband for over an hour and when we finally got fed up and left when another "appointment" i guess was called before us. We started to feel ignored and not cared about at all. And the attitude of the worker was "I gotta eat have a nice night". The WORST customer service. Zero stars, this place sucked. Oh their que was not working either so don't expect to see how much of a wait you have and if you ask they will tell you they can't see ahead in the system and only see one name at a time. I wish more of the customers in the store spoke up, these "workers" need a lesson in customer service and courtesy. read more

If I could give this store 0 stars, I would. I have experienced nothing but problems dealing with the employees here. In particular, the so called "specialist" Judy has a horrible attitude and mishandled every part of what I needed several times. In all honesty, she is completely incompetent. She managed to give me the wrong monthly price for internet service, cancel my service accidentally, put equipment on the wrong accounts, and force me to bring back newly issued equipment. I truly believe she knows she will get away with it every time because there is no way to contact the store directly. If you ever come to this location (which you should avoid at all costs), make sure you request anyone else but Judy. read more

Absolutely miserable experience here. Showed up at 9:55 before they opened at 10am. I was 4th in line. Finally got called at 11:15. All I wanted to do was activate a new iPhone 13 that I bought at the Apple store. The lady working could not figure out how to do this. I left at 11:45 without having my phone activated. I'll have to visit the Worcester store next week when I can find time. Zero stars. Horrible place. Everyone else here was just as agitated as I am. Many people just left. ZERO STARS. First of all, their whole system for servicing walk in customers is completely dysfunctional. You sign in on a tablet and wait. I would have been waiting 2.5 hours just to return my 20 year old modem (why do they even want that obsolete piece of crap back?) but another customer told me that someone else was denied an equipment return. I thought that odd since the (multiple) e.mails I received specifically cited this location for drop off. So, I got up and asked and an employee confirmed they would not take it. He claimed it was because they "had a contract with UPS" and the modem could be dropped off at a UPS store. This, of course, was a lie. Sure, you could do it at UPS but they could have accepted the return, too. They were turning people away because they were backed up due their own incompetence. I told them I was instructed to drop the modem off here and proceeded to drop the modem to the floor at the liar's feet. They said they wouldn't accept it and that I'd have to pay for it. I informed then that their obsolete POS equipment wasn't worth anything so I wasn't worried about it.
