I came here to help my grandmother drop off her equipment because she canceled her service. As you walk in, they have a kiosk and other screens for you to sign in and share why you are visiting the store. Our wasn't busy so we didn't have to sign in. Staff was friendly, helpful and very quick but could be due to us returning equipment. We were in and out around 1pm on a Friday afternoon. The parking situation is horrible. My partner and I moved into a new house and were trying to get some wifi set up. We placed an order to have the materials shipped to our house, which was supposed to be delivered the next day. It wasn't delivered, so we decided to visit this location to pick one up in store. When we walked in, two employees were sitting on the couch on their phones. This was by far the worst experience I've had at a Spectrum store. I visited to return equipment. Some of the items were still boxed in the standard Spectrum packaging, as they had never been opened, while other equipment had been used in my home and was not in the original packaging. The customer service representative in the store instructed me to unbox the Spectrum-packaged equipment myself rather than offering assistance. While this was not a major issue, it was unexpected. I was then informed that certain equipment was missing and asked to cover the difference. However, instead of helping me get connected with a customer service representative or guiding me through the process, I was left to resolve the issue on my own without meaningful support. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and lacked an appropriate level of customer service. My internet was down and I wasn't able to troubleshoot it. I chatted online with customer support who determined quickly my equipment would need to be replaced. They suggested I go to the Spectrum store for faster service and I stopped by the one in Maplewood soon after opening. I followed the instructions to check in and was seen in about 5 minutes. My equipment was replaced quickly which I was happy about. When I got home, support had told me to follow the setup instructions. None had come in the box so I looked at their website. I spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. I contacted support again and they said my equipment was never activated to my account in the store. After two support calls, driving to the store, and several hours of my time I finally got my internet back but after a huge headache of a process. read more

I ve had Spectrum for about 7 years now. Generally I've had good service but after today, I think I'm done with them. We've been in and out of service since Tuesday the 4th of March. I've gotten at least 20 text messages about service being up then down the up then down. I've jumped through hoops with their tech department that doesn't even seem to realize that we have a general area outage yet they're scheduling technicians to try to come to my house to fix my service. Within five minutes of speaking with the technician, I got another text from Spectrum saying that my service was out in the general area. It appears that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. When I asked for some sort of a refund or a prorating, I was told for all my trouble they would give me $3.10 off my next bill! What a great way to treat your customers and to retain customers... My Internet always was going out, but you could bet that they were there every month demanding their $100+. My payment a day late, my Internet stopped working until I magically paid my bill. No one told me I owed money upon closing my account (just days after I paid the last bill and the next payment frame started) and so they called over a month later expecting that I should pay for Internet that I didn't even have the equipment to use and keep calling, threatening collections. read more

She said that's fine but I can't give you are receipt. I said okey, could I get your name in case they ask me who I dropped it off? Lady says no, why do you need my name? I said, in case they corporate says the didn't receive it and I can at least say hi I left the modem with. She says, well they are not going to ask you that. I have NEVER written a bad review. This was so disappointing that I thought people should know. To make a very long story short, and many hours of trying to solve the problem at our home- We went without Cable TV for a month and Internet service for two months- both through Spectrum. The problem was at the pole (Although they tried to blame it on me). A technician was Finally sent out and the problem was at the pole. After all was resolved, they offered me a 40.00 credit. Hummmm? I am pretty sure we paid over 70.00 every month. My bills usually ran around 200.00 for one TV and internet service. Once I called to cancel- I was offered SO much more, and a better package saving me around 60.00 a month. What? This is what happens to customers that are loyal to Spectrum for 7.5 years, and before that we were with Charter- so even longer. I told them I would not pay my final invoice and they told me how bad that would hurt my credit. Too bad! All, but one agent were super nice and tried to be helpful, but their hands were tied. The technician was lovely and helpful, but couldn't do anything at the pole where all the issues were. It is a shame they have all these nice people working for them, but they can't help anyone. It is a shame, they cannot be proud of the company they work for. I switched to AT&T- so far....they have been great and wonderful with communication. Makes sense doesn't it? They are in the communication business, and I never knew what was going on with Spectrum unless I called. Spectrum Xumo streaming box: I tried it and hate it. New stuff, same issues. Takes forever to change the channel. The remote is teensy and cheap cheap cheap plastic. Why Spectrum went with this company is beyond me. But Spectrum has always been a shit show. Nothing has changed. I'll be taking their streaming box, my internet router, et al and get out of my misery. I bundled with their mobike phone, but I'm going to shit can that too. But that's my experience. Spectrum won't accept your Xumo boxes (which sucks); you'll have to find a UPS store. While at the store, we also inquired about purchasing new iPhones and transferring from Verizon to Spectrum. After waiting an hour and fifteen minutes, we left without our new phones. Terrible service. Spectrum makes it as difficult to do business as possible. They must be more staffed, competent, and less deceptive when answering direct questions. They will waste your time. Spectrum has sucked for decades and continues to. This particular location - overworked reps who are extremely rude, bordering psychopathic. Even during weekdays, you wait 30-40 minutes to have an issue addressed. Charter/Spectrum: Horrendous customer service - at least 40-minute holds at all times of the day and then you are dealing with grouchy customer service reps who just repeat what you tell them back at you, but are not able to address any issues. I was paying $80/month for many years for their basic internet. They kept saying that the price is non-negotiable. The moment that AT&T fiber ($55/month, as fast if not faster, more reliable) became available I switched over immediately. Called Spectrum to cancel, and was told that they would be HAPPY to match the $55/month. No thanks. I returned their modem, right away and still got billed $85 for "not returned equipment", which is now a huge hassle to get credit back. TL;DR version: more expensive than competitors, understaffed (40-70 minute hold times at all times of the day), will have to fight them for wrong charges when you cancel. Avoid. read more

I no longer reside at and decide to not only bill me for 2 months I was not even there somehow managed to pull that money out of my bank acct without my authorization! Do not shop here. I shopped here with the intention of saving money on my internet service and the associate did the exact opposite of what I asked for. I was in the midst of signing up for service online and I wanted to save money by trying to avoid an activation fee. I got a quote online that totaled $97.40 with Ultra internet plus the cost of the "self-installation" (24.99). I asked the associate if he could waive if I signed up through him. He said yes...but then tried to sell me on cell phone service ( I clearly said no prior to the interaction) and somehow came up with the idea that I would pay an additional $56 for an activation fee. This was more expensive than my original online quote. He gave some malarkey about how i wouldn't be able to get "special deal" from them again...blah blah blah. It was BS, the store is full of pushy salespeople that want to shove the whole spectrum family of services down your throat. I heard a snippet of the associates break-room conversation trying to come up with a way to convince me to buy after I had initially refused. Sounds like no-one here is actually honest. It's possible that the pressure of trying to get a sale makes the associates come up with ways to word things to "trick" customers into buying. This was an awful experience. Shop online. We have been a long-time customer of Spectrum. It was Charter for decades. Their cable system is so old and frail. Constant outages and extreme slowdowns. In the last 2 months, there hasn't been a day when it didn't stop. Customer service is almost nonexistent. EVERYTHING is autoresponse and they clearly seem to be OK that the customer just deals with the outages like it is normal business. They don't seem to have a grasp that is 10 times more expensive to replace good customers than to do the work to retain them. We have no choice but to use another service provider. Goodbye, Spectrum. I had an appointment scheduled for this afternoon to set up Internet. 2 hours ago I received a text saying the technician is on their way. An hour later the technician called me asking for my address and asked me to confirm that I wanted 400mbps. They hung up after confirmation. I just called Spectrum, as now 2 hours have passed since the tech was on their way. They told me the technician canceled the appointment, noting that no one was home. I'm sitting in an empty house on a single folding chair staring out of the window - no one came. Now I'm waiting to see if they can find someone to send to me. Should hear back within 60 minutes. Our aging router died a dusty death so I rolled into this store to get a replacement. They looked up my account, and found a way to cut our bill by about 10bucks and sent me home with new gear. Came home, installed and was up and running in short order. That staff was great to work with and super helpful and laughed when I brought in our antique router. Do all you can to avoid going in. I feel like poor customer service and making things as annoying as possible is a part of their business model. Went in to return a router. Three people working when i walked in at 10:05 (they open at 10). First person who was slow to acknowledge me but at least did had no idea what to do with the statement, "just here to return a router" and sent me to a kiosk at the front of the store to sign in. Kiosk was so slow and asking so much irrelevant information that I gave up on it. It's either broken or on the verge of broken. I don't know how anyone wouldn't get insanely annoyed working with that kiosk when staff is sitting around. There was one other customer there and she was on her cell phone trying to get help and was clearly getting frustrated too. After asking for help because the kiosk wasn't working they wouldn't let me return the router because I'm not on the account. I had our account number and I was literally just returning something we've had for years. You're telling me that with all the crap on the back of those machines they cant even accept a return without the ID of the person who pays for the account? It's not like I'm trying to vote in Texas. Employee pointed me to a sign that said "to avoid long waits at the store, drop off equipment at a UPS store..." There was no line at the store, he had no customers, yet he wanted me to go to a UPS store. Poorly worded and ambiguous on your website. He finally took my equipment which took all of ten seconds. He just didn't want to wait on me.
