i switched to Spectrum from Verizon for the sister savings. I switched my phone first, I have three iPhone. I had to get help from tech support. on 10/6 I received a message that my phone was not activate. I called using the phone they told me was active.I was told it was active on the back end but not the front end.it needed to be synced spand it may take up to two weeks. I didn't think about it and I received another message on 10/24 that the phone was not active and I had used up my 5 gig data allowance even though I was on an unlimited plan. I called again and the tech told me it showed iused it all today, which was impossible. aAgain I was told the problem will be escalated and they would get back to me once its fixed. a tried calling again in a few days and was told the same thing. on 11/9 I talked to a supervisor Geo. I was told it would be fixed within 48 hours. I called again on 11/11 and was told they were having system problems and Geo was training and couldn't be reached. I called again today! 11/15 and was told they are working on it and when your line goes dead, turn the phon off for 15 min and i will be fixed. I waited 30 and the same thing. I called again, I think my 8th call and was told Geo would call me back. I'm waiting. I found out cheaper isn't better when it does work. be careful when thinking about switching to Spectrum. read more

The customer service at Spectrum Mobile is atrocious. I've been calling and following up regarding a failed iphone activation and they could never activate it after 2+ weeks. Then they opened a ticket for me (59311367) to authorize an exchange. I was told someone will call me within 48 hours to process the exchange. It's been 11 days and still waiting. I was just on the phone with a billing supervisor after being transferred from customer service. It took 2 hours of my time. I've already spent over 8 hours on the phone with spectrum mobile over 3+ weeks and I'm still waiting for the issue to get resolved. Now they are telling me it will take another 7-10 days to resolve this. SPECTRUM, is this a reasonable way to serve youre cusomters? I can't wait to switch to another provider!!! read more

Called to cancel spectrum. They offered to reduce my monthly and give me a tablet completely free. I told them I didn't want the tablet and they insisted to take it and ensured I wouldn't pay a cent for it. Months later I received an invoice and a monthly charged for the tablet. I called spectrum and they said I was lied to, but they could go listen to my previous call and cancel my payments if I was told the wrong info. Another month went by and was charged again. I called spectrum and they said I was lied to again and they were unable to go listen to the old call. Was then told there was nothing I could do and I would have to pay for the tablet and monthly payment for 2 years. They then said if I paid the remaining balance for the tablet I never wanted, then they could cancel the monthly. I paid off the balance, and another month later I was charged again. That is 3 separate times I have been lied to. Have never had such terrible customer service and they still refuse to do anything! read more

Spectrum Mobile has absolute worst customer service. From the very beginning of transferring my mobile service to Spectrum to trying to resolve a billing issue. It always takes literally hours to get anything done. The latest has to do with erroneous billing issues. A mobile line that I don't have and a Google Pixel 6 mobile phone that I didn't order. I ordered 1 and was sent 2. I refused to accept the second phone, as I was told to do by Spectrum. I now find on my statement a billing to pay for that phone and a mobile number associated with the phone that I didn't order and for which I refused to accept it when it was delivered. So far, I've been on a chat and now a telephone call with Spectrum for over 2 hours and counting. The chat person couldn't figure out what I was talking about. And, after waiting about 30 minutes to get a call back from Spectrum using the telephone line service, and after explaining for the tenth time what the issue is that I'm calling about, I was disconnected from the call. I'm now starting over again..and I'm still on hold waiting for a Spectrum rep so that I can tell my story over again for the 11th time. UGH!!!!! read more

Spectrum mobile business account. Had their service for about 6 years. And it worked fine in my area no problems. About 4 years in they offered a special to add a second line or add a family member for an additional $10 per month. I added my Husband to the line as he was now working for our company. At that point, they somehow created a new account for us rather than adding him to my current account. When I figured that out after many ( probably at least 30 calls to them, walking into their local office) they managed to supposedly get the accounts combined. Please note they never had permission to open a new account they only had permission to add to my current account. At which point they lost all records of providing service to my phone. Although it still worked fine. We continued in that realm for about 2 years at which point I received a notice that I had been turned into collections by them. Rather interesting when the collection company calls you about the phone number they are calling you on with the service provided by the service note they bought. Upon calling Spectrum about this ( as I had never received any additional bills) this collection is for the 1st account or the original account and although I was still paying my monthly bill to them they of course have no record of anything. So here I sit with a collection notice to a company that I pay every month for the service provided. This company is the biggest Cluster xxxx that could ever be invented. I have now moved back to Verizon although this company still provides internet to my office. Does not look like there is any way out of correcting the collection as every time you call Spectrum Business they can barely find the accounts they created. I was passed all the way up to upper management multiple times and they still cannot get anything sorted out. The billing department of this company is a disaster. Note also they have auto payment set up for my accounts with them and every month it fails and I have to go in and pay them manually. ( Not the account with the problem it is their system that is the problem). Bottom line the gal who added my husband to "my acct" created this mess and no one was smart enough to be able to fix it. And rather than being able to look at the whole transaction and correct it as they were paid every month they just turned it into collection. Leaving it to the consumer to fix. I have been fighting it but ultimately if I don't want my credit dinged I will have to suck it up and pay it anyway. Absolutely do not recommend this company for anything! read more

Then once you realize what they told you was going to happen isn't actually going to happen you will need to call back and go through the whole process all over again to still not get what you need accomplished. This will keeping happening over and over again. Round and round you will go on the nightmare merry-go-round that is Spectrum Mobile customer service. It is a repetitive cycle of despair that serves no purpose other wearing you down until you ultimately give up. I really never complain about anything but I really got screwed and want to share. Due to someone's incompetence I lost my phone number of over 15 years. I told Spectrum about this issue and they don't care so now I supposed I'll just leave a review. I followed the advice of a Spectrum rep and switched from Cricket to Spectrum. The reception was very bad. I had to switch back to Cricket. I called Spectrum to see if I needed my pin because I was at Cricket and porting over that day. The lady I spoke with said no but set the phones up for deactivation and said once they get the port request, the numbers will switch over. When I switched to Cricket I wasn't getting phone calls for a couple days. I called Cricket and they said their port request still hadn't been answered. We three-way called Spectrum and she said 'oh the lines the have been deactivated, that's why we never received a port request'. She did not seem concerned I lost my number of 15 years. She 'filed a ticket' to try to get my number back and there was no offer of making it right due to inconveniencing me greatly and costing me more money. She then hung up at some point and I was left with the Cricket lady (who was extremely awesome) and I had to get a new number. I called Spectrum the next day to ask if there was anything they could do to make it right but everyone I talked to kept explaining how porting works and that the phone can't port if they're deactivated... Right... that's exactly what I'm complaining about. I just got passed along to other people who didn't care and the whole attitude was cold and unapologetic and I am just out a phone number I've had for 15 years. Very terrible experience. From my mom, Sharon Campbell: Early December I decided I'd like a new phone. I wanted to try an iPhone. I received the new phone. My son-in-law and I spent hours on the phone with Spectrum trying to get the new phone set up (and he works in IT). Within a few days I called to arrange sending it back. I had a small stroke recently, and my brain just wasn't able to get used to the iPhone. On that call, Spectrum sold me a new Samsung phone, so I had to wait to receive the new phone before I could send back the iPhone. I also remember something about them needing to send me a new SIM card separately. I received, and set up, the new Samsung phone around December 31 (which was also a significant ordeal). There were numerous phone calls with Spectrum throughout this process. Finally, you guys mailed a box and label to return the iPhone. It was a large box, which later turned out to be because the return authorization was sent from the wrong department. The Fed Ex tracking shows the box and label were sent by Spectrum on January 3, and was received back, with the iPhone, on January 10. I am now being charged $700 for a phone I returned because it wasn't returned within the 14 days. One email I received from Spectrum stated that it was supposed to be returned by January 1, but I have proof that Spectrum didn't even mail me the return label until January 3. The email also states that it wasn't received by them until January 26, but again, I have proof it was delivered there on January 10. Again, multiple phone conversations occurred with Spectrum throughout this time. It was in one of those conversations that they figured out that the return label was from the wrong department (I also have a photo of the label). I was assured the phone would get to the proper department once it arrived, but it seems that took 16 days from the time FedEx delivered it to Spectrum. If Spectrum takes $700 out of my account in two days (on the 30th), I won't be able to pay my rent. I have had my daughter and son-in-law help me several times trying to resolve this with Spectrum over the phone, and on chats. We keep just getting told they'll send the info along, but the problem isn't getting resolved, and time's running out. For reference, the ticket number is 335974472. I received another email this morning saying they are returning the iPhone to me, and charging me the $700. read more

Worst CUSTOMER service ever!! Went to the McAllen store but I was turned away and given a 1-888 number. At the store, only payments and new accounts are opened. After spending hours, and hours on hold for 3 days. I finally had someone answer, then got transferred and put on hold again. Then they answered and was disconnected. On the 4th day, after holding for 54 minutes, I asked for all my family's phones to be closed. So frustrated. They didn't care to help at all. I will now go somewhere else. We been with Verizon for a long time. Decided to give Spectrum a try. We are VERY DISAPPOINTED! Long wait times to speak with customer support for one. Constant issues with connections in many areas that I had no problems with before. even though I have a 5G phone, uploads and downloads are MUCH slower. 70-80% of my attachments in messenger do not go through and I have to try 2-3 times to get it to send. My text history is filled with "!" (Exclamation point) next to each message. I was told that I should maybe re-size my attachments so they would go through. SERIOUSLY???? I can no longer just text & send and assume it goes through...I have to wait and see if it goes through. Talk to text is hit or miss and seems to be getting worse.Service is the same with both our IPhone and Samsung phones.As soon as we are done paying off our phones...we are dropping Spectrum Mobile like a hot potato and going elswhere even though it will be more expensive. Went in to change a modem, the guy at the counter was unhelpful with anything pertaining to spectrum internet and was trying to sling me a phone service the whole time. Like I don't need a phone plan, I just want to know if I got the correct modem to upgrade my service. Had to be on the phone with spectrum for 20 min just for them to tell me that yes, I have the upgraded modem. Like you can't do the bare minimum & just give me a yes or no? Guy also told me I have to get someone to install the new modem but customer service said all you have to do is plug it in. Super unhelpful. read more

The charges are not clear. I upgraded to unlimited and was charged 31 but was also charged for the extra data that I used. Also, you are unable to download a bill or get one mailed. HORRIBLE. I have been out of service for 4 days due to a faulty SIM card. Customer service agent said they would send one out but never told me someone had to be home to sign for it. Well, I work all day, Customer service refused to let me go into a store to get it rectified immediately as they already shipped one out. She told me to call and "hopefully" they will just leave at my door. I have no way to contact anyone in case of an emergency and I made them fully aware of this and she offered no solution. She said that they wouldn't even credit me for the days I have been out of service! Wish I could give them a lower review. Tried switching to Spectrum wireless. After days of trying and having no service, they could not transfer our phones over. We finally gave up and cancelled and went with a reputable Cell Carrier. But the nightmare didnt end. They keep billing me for service they could not even activate. I've called multiple times to try to resolve but all I get is transferred, put on hold, and ultimately disconnected. I was told at one point they would do a help desk ticket to try to find out the reason why they lines still show active and that I should call back in 3 days. I called back and nothing has been resolved. Its back to holding endlessly, being transferred, holding again and so forth. I have had Spectrum Mobile for about two years. I was trying to upgrade my three lines about a month ago and continue to have a road block doing so. To upgrade my lines I had to pay of the remaining balance on them. That was no problem on two of the lines. On the third one the Spectrum rep said it was being declined. They tried multiple times and always got the same message. I thought that maybe Chase (my card provider) suspected fraud since the charges were all for the same amount so I logged in while I was on hold with Spectrum. There were 14 pending charges pending! I told this to the Spectrum representative (and subsequently to their supervisor). The apologized many time but had no explanation as to why this is happening. They stated a help ticket for the IT department for Spectrum and told me it would take 5-7 days for an answer and they had no way to expedite that. I chose no to upgrade the two lines and would try in the future. I tried again tonight to pay the one line and it's still happening. This is the same card I use to autopay the bill with every month! So another IT ticket started with a 5-7 day response time. read more

This has been the worse cell phone experience I've ever had. I was on the phone with them 4 times for a total of 6+ hours. First there online order system for the new iPhone was down so I had to call in to pre order. The lady on the phone messed up my order and forgot to add the trade in. I called and was on the phone for 2 hours they said I had to cancel my order and send the phone back in order to add the trade in. The second order never went through and I was on the phone again. After the second order I never received a confirmation email and I had to call back again for them to get that correct. read more

The phones are cheap and definitely not worth what we are having to pay unfortunately I called about 10 days too late so of course I have to pay for them. They say 5 gigs but you'll never see a 5G on top of the phone maybe a two if you're lucky. And I got the unlimited plan and I keep getting messages saying that I'm going over and there will be charges added to my account . If it's possible to leave less than 1 star, I would. We decided to switch to Spectrum from Verizon last month based on the savings. Worst decision we've ever made. We planned to transfer 3 lines but 2 of them would not activate after we received our SIM cards from Spectrum. My family members and I were all on the phone at one point or another for 30 minutes to 1+ hours trying to figure out why the phones wouldn't activate. Every time, they say they need to escalate the "ticket" to a Tier 3 Tech Support person and someone should be contacting us within 48-72 hours. That was THREE WEEKS of dealing with that. Last week, after going into a new billing cycle with Verizon because the 2 lines were still with them (and now having 2 phone bills essentially), I call and tell them I am taking all of my mobile service back with Verizon. The rep I was on the phone with tells me it looks like the 2 lines are ready to activate now...miraculous, huh? She asks if I would like her to activate them. I told her absolutely not; again - I'm taking my service back to Verizon. Then, she proceeds to deactivate my line. I immediately call back on a different phone and tell them I need my line reactivated to take back to Verizon. The rep I spoke with tells me that she needs to associate my number to a new SIM card and I have to reactivate it that way. I find it strange but take her word for it and wait until last Saturday to get the new SIM card. When I activate it, it's not my number. I spend 2 hours on the phone with someone on Saturday night (only to be disconnected at some point with no phone call back) and 1+ hours on the phone with someone on Sunday. No one has any idea what to do. I finally get Verizon involved - their customer service has been excellent throughout this whole process and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the technicians I've dealt with over the last few days. They take over the port request and finally speak to one of these ambiguous Tier 3 tech support people (I was starting to question if they even exist). The tech from Verizon says it could take up to 72 hours; be patient and call them back if I don't receive an email from Spectrum after that time frame. Seventy-two hours brings me to Wednesday 3/9. One week without the number I've had for YEARS and still no one at Spectrum seems to have any idea what to do about it. Verizon gets on again with their porting department, a "Mobile Repair 2.0" tech supposedly activates the number. Then we are transferred back to the porting team who goes on to tell us that the number still isn't active. What?! A tech just activated it! Then she proceeds to tell me that she can activate the line again if I just put the original SIM card back in my phone. I do this and voila, the line is active and ready to port back to Verizon. I asked the porting agent...you mean to tell me it was this easy all along and I never needed a second SIM card to begin with?! Why did I go ONE WEEK with this issue and no one to resolve it?! She couldn't answer my question. So now, all 3 lines are back with Verizon. Yay. But I still have an active line with Spectrum from this 2nd SIM card they sent me...which now it's apparent it should've NEVER been sent to me AT ALL. I called their deactivation/retention team on 3/9, 3/10, and now 3/11 stating this line needs deactivated now. On 3/9, they are having "deactivation issues" and say it'll be deactivated by the end of the day. Check the app on 3/10; still active. When I call on 3/10, the gentleman I speak with gets his "supervisor" involved and states she's going to put in a deactivation ticket "offline" but check the app in the morning and it should be good. Check the app today; STILL ACTIVE. Spent 1.5 hours on the phone this morning and spoke to 3 different people trying to figure this out. The last girl I spoke with says she spoke to 4 different team leads and another "ticket" needs to be submitted to the tech support team. She even states that the reason it's such a mess is because the girl from last week should've never sent me a new SIM card! Oh, and it'll be another 72 hours for a tech to resolve this...but when I check my app on Monday, she is sure it will be resolved (this all sounds very familiar, right?). So not only do they recognize it's their fault but they're dragging me around to fix the problem. Every time I call, there is a general sense that no one really has any idea what's going on over there. I am convinced they don't care. Issues do not get resolved in a timely fashion. They promise call backs then never call back. They promise emails but never email. They drop your call when on hold then never reach back out. Oh, and I'm still waiting on a refund from one of the lines that they could never activate. Please listen to me and literally everyone else who has reviewed this service. Do NOT switch. So my mom just passed away and I finally got the death certificate which is required by Spectrum to cancel a policy. My mom had the account under her name and she had 2 lines. 1 for herself (Linda V) and one for my uncle(Dennis). I went to 2 different locations and spent a total of 8 hrs or more on the phone with Spectrum. Both stores and my mom's account online showed that both devices were PAID IN FULL(see photos). Also online her mobile total so far on March 13th $38.00 (see photos). At the store they call the number listed online that I sat on hold for 6hrs the first time. The manager Julie at the Saginaw Michigan store pulls up the file and said yep both devices are paid for. Gets a lady on the phone to close out my mom's account and she says yes both devices are paid for. Closes out account and said the balance is $38.00. I should of just Paid it over the phone then but I had cash. Julie the manager said you can pay it here. So, I hang up the phone. I go to give her the money and then she doesn't have a money drawer. Well, that's fine I'll just pay with a card. She tells me to do it on the app. So, I logged on. As I log on it goes from $38.00 to $291.46. Listing that $145.73 for each device was due. Julie seen this happen as I was on the app. She calls them back but doesn't really tell them what she saw. She just hands the phone to me. So, as I'm on the phone my husband starts to take screenshots of my mom's account. He didn't get it showing the $291.46 in time but as he goes to take a picture then it drops to just one device $145.73 & also it goes from $38 due to $99.99 due. Needless to say I made a very clear to the man on the phone and Julie in front of me that they wouldn't be getting that money & they could stick the devices where the sun don't shine. I told the lady I was trying to do what's right and pay my mom's bill and close the account. I will be returning all my Spectrum Internet & will also cancel my TV with them! I can't believe For Christ's sakes I just lost my mom. Quit trying to screw your customers. Even when I was on the phone to cancel the mobile service the lady trying to sell me something! I tell her don't waste your breath I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH SPECTRUM! Well, you can save money. Lady I would rather pay DOUBLE then to buy ANYTHING from SPECTRUM! Even when I told the guy I had screenshots showing my mom's devices are paid in full. They wouldn't give me a number or email to send them to. He told me he didn't care & what shows on his screen goes. Even the Manager Julie at the Saginaw Store saw the screenshots and wouldn't do a dam thing about! We have Spectrum service for cable/phone/internet. We do not currently have Spectrum Mobile. We have no plans of signing up for it, and here's why: they frequently send me solicitation emails with purposefully deceptive subjects. Some examples of the subjects include: "Your attention is requested"; "We found this for you"; and "Your new premium upgrade is here". The worst ones are "New Notification" and "Reminder: You have (1) new message". These are especially tricky because we frequently get legitimate email notices about voicemail messages from their home phone service. Honestly, if you cannot sell your product without these misleading tricks and games, we don't want it. read more

I agreed and gave him my credit card. he charged me $79.98 for 2 mobile connections. the next day i called to spectrum customer care and i did not want it, he asked me reason, i said because of bad reviews. ok fine, don't worry you will receive simcard package, you can trash it, he said that he will refund me, i waited and i went to spectrum office, they said you will get your money soon, but i am getting email about activation reminders, after couple weeks i called them, almost couple times, every time they are telling non sense stories, finally while on call, he sent one email digital sign for activation, my question to him , are you asking to sign for another way of stealing my money?, he said that dont worry, then i said to him i will go to spectrum mobile office , he said ok , i will go to spectrum office will see how it goes, i am hope less now. my concern is how am i travelled with these guys for internet for about almost 8 years. read more

Beware of Spectrum Mobile Service. I stayed with spectrum mobile service for two months in the meantime I bought galaxy A13 . then I decided to switch back to Criket. every things was find BUT they won't unlock my phone which I already pay for it.they gave me the error code to unlock the phone. Call them numerous times. Now they BLAME other carriers SIM card has problems. I tried Criket SIM card. and T Mobile SIM card .Still unable to unlock my phone. Also, the technical support department are very rude, since I called them so many time. one of them whistles and made a heavy breathing south over the phone. this company can not be trusted. i decided to cancel my Internet service from them . horrible service! data plans are very small even though they say unlimite. there is a cut off and it's not very much. plus you lose service all the time. for no reason. you will be in same area as always and just loose service. DONT GET SPECTRUM MOBILE! read more

I am a faithful spectrum customer & have been for years i have 3 active accounts. I bought brand new iphone13 by mail paid $130 deposit & returned the iPhone in perfect condition bc my husband wanted an android. It's been OVER A MONTH- they LOST THE PHONE IN THEIR WAREHOUSE , now are CHARGING ME MONTHLY & have NOT GIVEN MY DEP BACK.
