I swear if there was a way to mark no Stars that's what I would do. I was lied to several times about what my bill would be and then after I was told that I'd be locked in to a certain rate for two years they bump my bill up $30. It's almost been a year and I still haven't received my refund for my cancellation fee from the company before spectrum which they advertise on the website that they'll pay up to $500 to get you out a of contract. There's a bunch of hidden fees and I was told that yes they do lose customers because of the shit they do with their customers bills but that it's ok because they always get new people ith the new customer insensitives. It's the worse company I have to deal with. No one else does the things they do. Their TV advertisements are a joke. They do everything they claim not to do in their commercials. Since spectrum took over time warner cable everything changed. night and day, prices went up, seems like they dont care to loose customers. from having a bill of 125, it went up to 155 and finally to 166 thats when i called and cancelled my services. Had some really bad experience it's customer service over the phone but when I went in to this location an associate names Faroq (might be spelled wrong) helped me tremendously. Regarding online options for support: I have an issue that is not part of the menu of options for support with Spectrum's web page. After searching quite a while, I did find the chat option. Three attempts with the chat got me as far as sharing my address with the rep. Each attempt was then cut off. Spectrum proved once again that large companies provide poor service. read more

What a rip off. Same programming as Direct. 50% of channels are "paid" programming which means they run commercials all day. Same programming runs for days at a time. The 15 movies they run on their commercial channels are the same they have been running for years but now instead of airing over 2 hours, most movies now run 3 to 4 hours which means one extra hour of commercials. The premium channels now list every movies that has run on their commercial channels except now u get to pay for them. Why anyone would pay $10 a month for a premium channel to watch a 30 year old movie has got to be brain dead. Considering that all these movies can be purchased for $3.00 Thank god, there are alternatives. Forget their telephone, etc. All those low prices are based on "bundled". If u try to buy alone the prices double. Don't waste your money. U have been ripped off again. read more

Horrible customer service experience. The sales person made it very clear that they provided a 1 hour installation window. I was very happy about that. One the day of installation the one hour time frame cane and went. I texted the Sales person when they were 1 hour late, and he said he would let me know when they would arrive. 3 hours after they should have arrived, he called to say they couldn't come today. Do not use this cable company. It is the worst their customer service is awful, I was overcharged 3 times and decided to still work with them because they told me it would be fixed the next billing cycle of course it wasn't fixed and again I was billed wrong because they said someone in their department had dropped the ball ( so you would think since it was their fault they would credit me right? Wrong!) they told me all they can do is fix the next month, why would I trust them when they have said this to me 4 times and each time I had to pay $60 extra!!!!! They also have horrible connection to top it off... My apartment complex only works with spectrum, I disconnected my services I'd rather live without tv and even internet than put up with their horrible service and overcharging, that's how bad it is!! DON'T USE SPECTRUM! Since Time Warner was taken over by "Spectrum", I have had 6+ outages since October. Today "It may or may not be back on by the end of the day". Went to this new Spectrum store to switch the phone box for a newer model. The guy said it's gonna be $10/month, I said it should be no charge cuz I never had to pay. He then said I won't be able to get a higher speed without renting the box, it will work for cable/internet as well. I let him know that I have been using my own equipment for internet and it can go up to 300 megabit. I am only getting 100 megabit which is the max speed that I got from Spectrum. After failing to charge me a mthly fee, the guy finally gave me a new box. Unfortunately, the new phone box doesn't work and I am now end up with no landline. I will have to return the defective box tomorrow, hopefully the next one will work. read more

Great customer service! Went in to cancel a service and start a new service. We were checked in and attended to in less than 10 minutes. Anthony was wonderful! He was very helpful and fast. He was genuine and we were on our way before we knew it. We ended up taking the internet modem to install ourselves to save us all the time. Instructions were vague so I ended up talking to a rep for about 15 minutes, but she was very helpful and guided me throughout the process! read more

This company is SHADY... If you have any other cable choice DO NOT CHOOSE SPECTRUM. I had faulty equipment (Set top box/DVR) so when I talked to them they were super friendly and offered to ship a new one. When I got my bill they charged me a "Self-Install Activation" fee ? When I called they said that as to cover shipping... So they charged me shipping cost to replace THIER faulty equipment. First of all, If the charge is for shipping, it should say "Shipping" Secondly, I already pay you for the box and the service, it's not fault your equipment is faulty and I am NOT going to pay to have YOUR equipment replaced. This company is so shady and they are just horrible to work with. I feel so bad for the customer service folks that work here :-( read more

Spectrum provides great services. But when it comes to adding or removing services, the store and customer service over the phone are never on the same page. My brother tried returning a receiver for me, and JASON the employee turned him away. The only reason he got was that it had to be done thru customer service over the phone. I called and was instructed to drop off item at the store. I went to return the receiver myself and luck of the draw, I got JASON to help me. This dude told me the exact thing, that he couldn't help me. I told I had contacted customer care and they advised me to return the item to the store. He was adamant about not taking my item. If i returned it, I'd have to downgrade my services or cancel all together. I said great!! But why not offer this from the beginning? I kept getting a "no we can't take your receiver". I opted to downgrade to save a few bucks. He was of little help when it came to changing services. I had to do the research myself and see what other packages they had and told him to switch me to the steaming services since we had roku sticks. Spectrum, if you read these reviews, please provide additional training to JASON. It would be less frustrating for your customers. read more

Time Warner,. Its pretty much a joke. There's not that many Cable companies around and you would think this one would have it all figured out. Besides being expensive the service is bad. Scheduled recordings sometimes dont record, it freezes all the time. On demand shows stop in the middle of watching it and suddenly they are unavailable. Thought TWC was bad and could not get any worse,guess again. My first month with Spectrum they raised my internet charge by 10 dollars. When I asked them why they said. MY promotion ran out. I was not aware I was on a promotion. Then last month they double billed for my service. The bill said I was past due.this was not true,my credit card statement showed a payment every month. The rep gave me this mambo jumbo about billing periods that made no sense. I tried to explain to her no matter how you spin it,if you add up what I am paying its over the monthly amount. well where do i began? i'll keep it simple, on july 23rd of this year 2021 i had a very bad and i mean bad experience with spectrum specifically the store in brea, ca address is 2500 e. imperial. see i heard about the new apple tv boxes that were very nice when it comes to internet and cable since this is the new wave of cable. i also was told due to my visual impairment or let just keep it real my legallyl blindness that the apple tv will justify my eye issues better then the old school boxes and remotes. so i called in received my new amazing apple tv boxes which i love, especially the voice command on the remote. with that said i had to return the old equipment cause i was not trying to get charged for it because spectrum will charge you the fee on the boxes until you return them which is understandable. likei mentioned before i do not drive so i use lyft and uber to get around in my life which pay attention because this was part of the issure tht i did not like with this young hispanic girl working at 2500 e. imperial spectrum in brea. i get there to return the equipment and for some reason this girl is saying she cannot accept both boxes due to whatever reason she was making up or assuming. i calmly ask her why, and with rudeness and short temper she just says over and iover i cannot except both boxes. i told her will i do not need both boxes i have two apple tv boxes. long story short the girl was very rude, customer service was at a negative 5 at this point so i said look im just returing equipment im going to just leave this box hear since you have no manager here to solve this and this is going nohwere. she look at me and said well you can always come back tomorrow to speak with my manager. i move my legally blind cane around to make sure she see it and said i took lyft up here i do not havfe time n money to come back here tomorrow over something i belive can be easily fixed right now. me being a veteran and undertaing i just got to let folks not get the best of my energy i left. i'm writting this now months later cause i've been busy plus i cannot drive anymore so i said i wouuld take the box back when i got a ride. i just recently took the box back couple days ago cause i got so tired of looking at it in my living plus spectrum never offeredto com pick it up for a legally blind 10 year plus customer. its very sad how people treat people especially the ones that may just need a lil of help. young girl i do no know your name but if i did i would put it in this review cause at the end of the day i woulnd't want this experirence to happen to anyone especiallyl for people who do not know how to stand up for themselves. this girl would walik all over them sadly. so to spectrum i hope you go look at the tape from july 23rd 2021 and fix the situation and give your employees better and i mean better customer service before one of them be rude to the wrong perosn. 2500 e. imperial spectrum in bera, ca worst experience ever thank you for you time get it right please. read more
