The person went ahead and scheduled me for an appointment anyway saying to call them back once I get it figured out. Received a call a few days before the appointment reminding me about it and also stating again my VSP coverage was not found. I called back telling them I did not want this appointment anyway and I never figured out the VSP situation so you can cancel it. Fast forward to the day of the appointment and I receive an email stating I've been charged $40 for not showing. I called back again today asking why I was charged when I canceled and the guy put me on hold. I spoke to the guy for probably 30 seconds and was left on hold for over 3 minutes so I just hung up. This place sucks. The doctor seems pretty legit and the location was close to home which was the only reason I come back but other than that there's no reason to come here. The reviews for this place are all clouded by some giveaway scam they have as well. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Sucks.

They call you into a small room (in lobby area) and leave the door wide open so EVERYBODY in the lobby can also hear your conversation about what's going on with your eyes. We demanded that they close the door when it was our turn. Both my wife and I have been here before and same thing....they don't close the door. We would not have come back here, but Dr. Barrick was an urgent referral and we had no choice, but we do thank him for his accommodating us at the last minute. Dr. Barrick is a fine ophthalmologist. No problem with that. My 2.5 star review is based on his office always leaving the door wide open (as my review states above) and no concern that it's a patient privacy issue which it clearly is.

Dr.John Phillpp was a "God-Send" to me. I am an airline pilot. After recovering from cancer, I…read morethought it was going to take many months to get reinstated by the FAA to fly again. My regular AME and even my union doctors had told me it was going to take months to get cleared. Dr. Philipp was highly recommended to me by a friend, so, I thought I would take a chance and try a new AME. WOW!!! Dr. Phillipp was able to go through the lengthy details of my case and get a pre-approval from the FAA to issue a medical on the day I saw him. Of course, this was all contingent on me passing the medical when we met. Everything checked out and I am now holding a fresh Class I medical to go back to work. Dr. Phillipp's great reputation and long repour with the FAA made all this possible. Dr. Phillipp is very professional and has a great bedside manner. His office is extremely friendly. Dr. Phillipp clearly enjoys his connection with the aviation community. He shows a sense of pride in aviation that carries into his practice as an AME. I wish I had met him earlier. Even though Glendora is a bit of a drive for me, he is worth it. I would drive 10 hours if I had to in order to see him. I highly recommend Dr. Phillipp.

Impatient, and not wanting to answer questions. Dr. Dennis really took his time to explain possible complications and problems that could happen with a shifting or dislocated IOL lens, I'm thankful he took the time to make me feel comfortable and walk me through whether I should take the risk on the procedure and his recommendations. The office was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I didn't have to wait long in the lobby or to be seen. Dr. Chuck was quick and went straight to the point. I'll be coming back in two weeks for a laser procedure. I did feel a bit rushed, but overall the service was good. Would I recommend this place? I'm not sure yet. Date of visit: August 2025

I don't…read moreknow what kind of solution their assistant put in my eye to dilate my eyes. it's been 72 hours since the visit, my eyes have been feeling dry and have no tears. I tried cutting onins to stimulate my tears, but almost no tears came out facing over the cut onions. i nerve had dry eyes in my entire life before!!! before whenever i cut onions, i would had tears non stop for 5 minutes, but now my eyes don't produce tears - this is horrible!!! further more, their off charged me 2.5% transaction fee for use a credit card to pay the copay.
