This Spectrum store is super busy, so be prepared to wait. All the staff seems super helpful and friendly. They are working as fast as they can. I was helped by Omar. I was returning some equipment and transferring my phone provider to spectrum. Returning the equipment was fast but switching the phone took a while because of some technical difficulties. In the end Omar got it done. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. read more

Our experience was not good. The person we worked with did not accurately communicate plan cost becauce there are discrepancies on our statement that don't align with the promos we thought we signed up for. The shocking part?.... I was labeled "wifey" on my device profile and billing statement, which is extremely inappropriate, unprofessional and very disrespectful to both me and my husband. Make a reservation before you come here. We have been waiting for almost 2 hours and have been pushed back twice because someone with a reservation kicks us out of the wait que. This happened on a Sunday To be fair there were only 3 people working the lobby and we're handling returns and cancellation doing what they could, but I think if they would have announced to the people in the lobby that they were doing there best and recommended a reservation next visit to the 16 people waiting it would have helped or announce approximate wait times like the do at restaurants.That would help people to decide to leave and come back with a reservation or see if it's worth waiting. Spectrum mailed us a new modem to upgrade our service. I guess that we did not do it fast enough as we started to receive emails that if we did not complete the upgrade and return equipment that they would charge our account an extra fee. It took about an hour to complete the installation and connection with the help of Spectrum Customer Service on the telephone. I was advised to return the equipment immediately to avoid being charged the equipment fee. About an hour later I went to the Cypress, CA Spectrum store where I in the past have obtained service for years. I was having difficulty logging in on the kiosk at the entrance. A male employee confronted me and was hostile and rude towards me as I requested assistance in returning the equipment. His actions were so off base and over the top that I set the equipment down on the kiosk and left the paperwork for the return. I chose to leave the store instead of being spoken down to and treated in such a negative manner. He followed me to the door, exited and yelled out "Don't ever come back here again!" which shocked me. Having decades of customer service experience as a line worker, front supervisor and department manager I never encountered such a negative demeanor nor horrible behavior. If any of my employees would have treated a customer in this manner I would have fired them. I contacted Spectrum by telephone to complain and requested action before I cancel my service to go to another provider for Cable, Internet and Telephone services. Spectrum needs to understand that they serve us the customers and not vice versa! Even if Spectrum resolves this issue I will never step foot in the Cypress, CA Spectrum as there should have been a manager or supervisor who intervened to de-escalate the encounter that I had with their horrible employee. read more

I went here to exchange for a new remote. Started out #9 on the list on a Saturday at 1pm, but they called me in about 25 minutes so it went pretty quickly. In all I was out of there in under 30. They didn't have the same remote so she gave me a different model, but said a technician would come to my house the next day (a Sunday) first thing with the correct one. Overall pretty good service. If anything a bigger problem was the customers, a few just wanted to argue about nothing. One old lady wanted two different accounts at her house which is not a thing. And two different customers couldn't figure out how to pay their bill at the machine, so the employees had to stop and do it for them. I might go back to this store next time I have a concern. Just don't go at the peak times if possible. read more

I went to return my equipment because I had upgraded my internet plan and customer service told me I could drop off real quick at a spectrum location. I went in and stood by register and waited and made an eye contact with a few reps a few times and tried speaking at one point to one and then they just shouted a customer to help. I went on my phone to see if I was doing this wrong.. I eventually found a section stating to make an appointment for faster service. Well ok I get it now.. my bad. My issue is that I stood there for over 40 minutes in clear view and attempted to ask a question but was ignored. All a rep had to do was say sir you have to make an appointment for service!! The reps here are arrogant assholes. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here for anything. Spectrum do better or at least train your arrogant reps to have some decent human kindness or acknowledgement.. Go with Verizon instead.. Spectrum is trash service anyway read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The worse Spectrum store I've been to. Workers who don't want to work or take breaks all at the same time...poor management. Also, the couple times I've been here... the workers seem to be not trained well to know how to problem solve issues which causes longer wait times. Their pay machines never work either! The three stars is for the staff but sincerely I prefer any other company then spectrum because they are over priced and just like many businesses they don't care about their customers as long as they collect and make profit out of you! I recently move to a new apartment and Spectrum was my only option unfortunately so I decided to give them a chance. Sadly, as expected I have been paying almost $60 for somewhat decent internet service that I had to install, pick up, and setup! Yes all me! Also, my internet has been inside my room on the floor for a couple months and I finally called to asked if they could fix it and their solution is to charge me $69 for activation fee because apparently spectrum doesn't have cable for the living room only inside the bedroom! Breaking news that's so ancient and lame excuse the make profit from desperate household like myself that have no choice but to pay the fee! If you have the option to go somewhere else please do! Att is way better! They offer customers a higher quality product and service compared to spectrum. Unfortunately, I cant get Att service in my area only spectrum. Before I went in I was hoping that the reviews were exaggerated, unfortunately not. First, it's a Sunday, most of us can only come in on the weekend, why are there only three people working the store. 45 minutes in line later I was finally next. The sales associate that "helped" me was no help at all. Adriana was not rude but only passed the buck. "Sorry we're only sales here, you'd have to call customer service", was the party line. Here's a thought, why don't u b a problem solver and actually help ur customers rather than just b one-dimensional and push them off to another department. Honestly every time I have been in here which hasn't been much just because I have been taking care of so well. But Tam the store manager is amazing and the wait time here is always so quick. And I have always been treated very well and every single employee here is polite and helpful and they all seem to work well as a team if someone may not have an answer they will all figure it out together. All of my good interactions at this store do not make up for the interaction I had 8/6/23. I will start this off by saying yes I did become a Karen and start to go off because of how Omar handled this situation. I moved and needed to cancel service and had my mom drop off the equipment. This has never been an issue before when I've been out of state for work and needed her to go in since we are at the same address and have the same last name. I had her take in the equipment and told her to let them know we were cancelling. She returned what I had left for her and Omar wouldn't let her do anything until I called and made her an authorized user (the lady on the phone said he should'nt have needed me to do this since we have the same address and last name) and said we still owed them a tower and would need to pay for it or turn it in. I then informed them that I did not have another tower and I will not be paying for it. He then decides that the best way to tell me I'm going to be paying for it regardless is that I'm either going to pay for it or they're sending me to collections. WHAT A WAY TO IMMEDIATELY MAKE SOMEONE MAD WHEN YOU DIDN'T NEED TO. I told him no the f*ck they aren't! The only reason they would have that on my account is because in April of 2022 I had to exchange my equipment that stopped working and they gave me a newer model. It is not my fault if THEIR employee didn't fully mark things as returned. He then told me to call customer service so I hung up and got on the phone with them (come to find out that Omar then completely stopped helping my mom who was in the store and told her "okay goodbye" when we were NOT done with this). I was then on the phone with customer service, told her the whole situation and was told that yes it happens all the time that there are exchanges and that the in store employees don't finish out the process and leave items on customers accounts. She even told me Omar was power tripping. She then gave me the ticket number from when the original exchange happened and told me Omar should've been able to see it. I'm glad she was able to get it fixed for me since he was just going to force me to pay for it. If you go into this store do not work with Omar. I hope he is removed from the front. read more

My husband and I went in this afternoon to purchase a new phone for an existing line. We were helped within minutes and all our questions were answered. We got our new phone up and running in less than an hour. Our Spectrum helper Omar was awesome. He was also able to assist with our Internet even without us asking. Just finished moving away from Spectrum and WOW.. What a nightmare. promtional period pricing not being honored, lies from their customer support, deceiving business practices all justified by... "That's the way all telecoms companies work." Not joking tgis came out of a Manager from the customer retention department. Had to call dozens of times to get them to give us what they promised and had finally just had enough. There is no reason why my prices should ever change. Promotional period pricing is a scam. They do not even honor the time windows! Locked me in at 44.99 a month and added $10 within the first two months. Swapped to ATT fiber for 50 a month with the peace of mind I wont be paying $75 in the immediate future without any notification. Really cant rant enough about how much I hate working with Spectrum. read more

The most abysmal experience I've ever had in my life. Let's start with the situation: I upgraded my internet plan (which is now $200+ a month!!!!) and after a service outage, my router stopped communicating with my modem and spectrum couldn't find it or fix the problem, and asked me to take it into a store and exchange it. I've already had a myriad of things to do that day, most of which were impeded by my lack of internet access. So I brought my router to this store, and after signing in with 4 people ahead of me, I sat there for 50 minutes (!!!) before I was called to a desk. And that didn't go well. Admittedly, I'm clearly frustrated and my patience has worn thin. My agent asked why I was there today and I told him. He asks for my ID and I give it to him. And then he says to me (in a VERY sarcastic tone. This dude had a real attitude!) "so you think you could show me an I'd of someone on the account?" (I live alone. I'm the ONLy name on the account. My ID and the name on the account are not identical but variations of the same, like Steve/Stephen. He took issue with this!) My response to him was most certainly already out of frustration, but "are you f'ing kidding me right now???) This dude, clearly juiced up, begins screaming at the top of his lungs and slams his hands down on the counter. His little freak-out had him punching the cabinets behind him. "Someone cool off your ape please!" Yes. This really happened. I abruptly left the store and after experiencing a tightness in my chest, debated heading to the ER as I thought I might be having a heart attack. I sat in my car for a moment and proceeded to call Spectrum's customer service to issue a complaint against this store and to get my internet back up and running immediately. After countless heartless apologies over the incident that they claim they take very seriously, the earliest they could get someone out to fix my service was 3 days from now. So, I don't believe they really understood the damage they were causing here. I hung up and drove home and decided I needed some time to distress and gather my thoughts. The. It came time to call customer service again and issue the complaint again, and find out what to do about repairing my service. (I should note. I was having no issues with the service prior to this and made no changes to anything to cause any problem). After being transferred TWELVE TIMES. EACH TIME REPEATING ALL MY INFORMATION AND REASON for CALLING, it is suggested to me to try another store, or wait till the morning for them to send someone out to check my service. I decide to go to another store (Beach Blvd Westminster) where I am politely greeted as I walk in and was immediately helped. It turned out the problem all along was that the Cypress store gave me the wrong router from the start and I was not running the proper speeds that I had been paying for for several weeks. When they had the service down, rebooting the system locked out my router as it was incompatible (how it was working from the start I have no clue!). But the replacement router still didn't work and spectrum couldn't find it once it was hooked up, so a tech still had to come out the next morning. The tech, after a lot of troubleshooting, discovered that a previous tech had installed a primmer that was limiting my signal. I did need a signal as my location is very close to Spectrum's servers so my signal is VERY hot, but a previous tech installed an incorrect version which might have burned out the router. So, problem finally solved, and it turns out the problem was 100% their own incompetence. After the huge amount of drama I went through and was assaulted by an employee at this store, I received no service credit, no written or verbal apology, and no indication that they took this incident seriously whatsoever. I have ended my $200+ service with Soectrum and I have the same speeds with Frontier for $69 a month. After this incident, I can't ever recommend Spectrum service to anyone, and that Cypress location should be shuttered for such an immense level of incompetence. read more

This location is very good, especially the guy guarding the door! He's very attentive, cares about the customers, clearly explains how long the wait will be and is very personable. I think his name was Jared, I'm not too sure but he has a long pony tail. Anyway, I've been to the store to exchange my modem several times due to intermittent internet or no internet issues. Eventually Spectrum decided to send a tech out to me, his name was Brian and he was great! He arrived early and knew exactly what to do within the first 5 min of diagnosing the modem. This says a lot because I spent a week and a half on the phone with tech support and going into the physical store to exchange modem after modem so for 1 person to come and say "I know what's wrong and I know how to fix it" was such a relief!! Thank you Brian, I was in the middle of cooking when you arrived on this hot spring day, but I couldn't offer you any food or water because of COVID. Are you a masochist? Do you like being talked down to? Did you just leave your local church service feeling great and need to get kicked down a few pegs? Well, look no further; I've got just the place for you! If you've got nothing going on consider bringing your family down to Spectrum in Cypress. First you'll be begrudgingly greeted by the door employee whom thinks they are guarding gold at Fort Knox. They might ask if you've made an appointment. If you tell them "No" they will definitely let you know you should have and point out there are two lines. One for customers who "made an appointment" and one for "those who didn't". Once your in line the fun doesn't stop there. Now you'll get to observe other customers walk up and have their a$$ handed to them for not making an appointment. You've now been waiting in line for 15 minutes and it's finally your turn to head inside to one of the friendly sales staff. As you approach a desk with an employee, you'll suddenly hear the front door gate keeper yell at you to sit down and wait for your turn. You'll probably be confused since you just waited but there is a screen with you name at the bottom of the list which is kindly pointed out to you. At this point you're asking yourself if you should leave but then realize they're the only game in town and both you and Spectrum know it. Finally, your name is called and you head over to the COVID-19 safe desk but don't you dare stand by the designated circle; you best be in it...or else. Now it's time to review your bill. In our case we only wanted internet but those hucksters tried to slip in a home phone which left me wondering who even has a home phone(aside from ET). Once you point that out to them they'll "try" to fix it. Now that that's settled they will give you your router and internet equipment in a nice little bag and act like they are handing you plutonium. Needless to say we will be coming back :-) read more

Our router suddenly stopped receiving power (could have been the router itself or adapter) and we were told the fastest way to resolve this would be an in-store exchange. Service here is horrible. I see four employees standing around talking while there are 12 people on the list waiting. I have been here 40 minutes and only one name has been called.
