By far the worst company EVER!!! They are thief's!! They gave us what was suppose to be a discount to start an account with them but every single month the bill kept going up, when you call to get help you get awful customer service and all they want to do is sell extra stuff to you and when you don't take those offers they don't want to help and just rush you off the phone and GET THIS- when you stop your account you're suppose to return the cable box and supposedly if you do you don't get charged for it. THAT'S NOT TRUE!! When we ended ours they told us where to return the items and we returned them, they were in absolute perfect condition, literally like new then 2 months later we start getting bill after bill and phone call after phone call charging us $80.00 for a device that we DID return in PERFECT condition. After sending in receipt proof they keep saying they'd take care of it and we wouldn't be charged but nope they turned it into collections and it's now on our credit history for something we took care of already. We always always paid on time, most of the time a week earlier than it was due. This is a crap company that's thief's. PLEASE save your time and money. Avoid moving to areas where Spectrum is the only provider AT ALL COSTS. A storm came through my area for a little over an hour and I was then told (on Saturday night) I have to go five days without internet because they can't send a technician out until Thursday. I work from home (Monday through Friday) and they literally give no other solutions to temporarily solve the problem, which is insane considering again they are the only provider in my area. I then reached out today (Monday July 11) at 5pm after receiving a message this morning at 8:34am that my outage had been "restored" in my area and that I could cancel the Thursday appointment. I came home to check before actually believing Spectrum, thankfully, because my apartment was the only apartment that the oh so busy technicians neglected to fix. I then called Spectrum for the 7th time literally...and was told by a representative that going to a store near me would fix the internet issue. I came home to find out that the replacement didn't fix the issue (wasted my gas and time) to then be told (by a supervisor) how much they "understand" my frustrations and "would love to help" only for nothing to get done aside from me being told yet again that Thursday is the closest they have for technician availability even though they literally just sent technicians back out to my area this morning to fix everyone else's internet aside from mine. They are quick to take money from you and try to get you to get bigger package deals but HORRIBLE when it comes to actually giving customers solutions to problems the company would have to fix even after speaking with three representatives and two supervisors. Anytime you experience any kind of storm your internet more than likely will go out and you will go days without internet which will be okay with the "amazing" Spectrum service providers. read more

The absolute Spirit Airlines of TELECOM. From leadership team with members like Jill Girard who hops on a complaint 3 months late and then passes it to a lower employee when all the asshole and cockiness doesn't work. She literally allowed my account to be suspended after ignoring and being unresponsive to constant complaints about a defective phone. Then attempted to use retaliatory tactics to force me to pay a bogus bill. So you know what I did filed another complaint and changed service providers. Absolutely do not use Spectrum for wireless service customer service is not properly trained at all. They will force you into due dates to charge late fees and not respond to service issues from hardware to software. I was forced to pay $180 for a defective phone and then waited 4 months and used my own apple care to replace their defective device. They are refusing to pay for the damages even after I have supplied them with the documents showing that their contractors were the only people digging over the line where the damage occurred. They deserve NO stars because the wait is ridiculous. I simply came in to pickup an additional box and I've been in here for 35 minutes standing around waiting on my name to be called. Please help me understand why there are so many stations, but no damn employees. There are 17 customers in this store and 2 Spectrum employees actually helping customers. There are 2 more employees standing in the front of the store chit chatting. They do help sign you in, but everyone needs to be trained on how to help customers with any of their needs, not just direct them to sign in and wait. Spectrum makes too much damn money not to be able to have this busy store FULLY staffed. This is a very poor way to run this store in this busy section of Charlotte. Notice how often Spectrum 1 News and Spectrum Mobile TV commercials in the NC areas focus on one single minority. Spectrum 1 has daily news "common interest " stories of minimal interest and yet how many stories focus of AA minorities...You will almost never see Hispanic or Asian minorities in these "stories" . This also applies to their TV commercials in which the focus is almost always excluding Asian or Hispanic ethic/racial backgrounds. Diversity is a good thing ...but it is not good when a company uses this as a reason to provide exposure but does so to just one minority.... I came in to return a modem and immediately had my name taken down by the greeter and then placed in line. There were about 10 people ahead of me, so there was quite a wait and only 2 people assisting customers. Fortunately, they had plenty of seating and the list of people in line was clearly visible so you didnt have to stand to keep your place in line. It took a while to get to the front but once I got there, the return process was relatively quick and smooth. read more

After over an hour wait (31 in the Q), I witnessed an astonishing level of incompetence. From the arrogant greeter at the door to the unqualified representatives it was a complete disaster. This has been the worst experience I've had with a cable company. Upon reception in the lobby was a major disappointment. Almost everyone in the lobby had equipment that needed to be returned including myself. The services is terrible my WiFi barely worked. I waited in the lobby after check in no one ever called my name. I had to remind the front desk that I was waiting. You have the worst Customer Service and the most HORRIBLE Internet service I've ever experienced. I work from home and I have to unplug my modem at least once a day to restore service. Your Tech Supoort is no help and has no anwswers outside of "I am sending a signal to reset your equipment." No thanks, I can do that myself. Last time I spoke with one of your CSRs, She told me she couldn't assist me because I was not an Authorized User. How csn can I not be an AU on an Account that's in my name? I asked for a Supervisor and was rudely told "My Supervisor is going to tell you the same thing." After being on hold, for over 30 minutes, I was told the Supv refused to speak with me because I wasn't authorized on the Account. Again the Account is in MY NAME. When I finally reached someone to disconnect my services, the Rep was more concerned about me knowing I would still be billed for the entire month as opposed to listening to my issues and trying to keep me as a Customer Spectrum you are HORRIBLE. I'm so thankful for Google Fiber and the ability to stream all the Cable and Local Channels I watch. read more

Worst Wifi ever, said they came out to fix it Monday, and low and behold, a couple days later...broken. This happens every other week and they never actually fix it. Wifi runs fine and then completely cuts out every couple minutes. Absolutely atrocious. Whoever came out and "fixed it," should be dropped onto the cable worker waiver wire to never be picked up again. Imagine a world where your one job is to fix cable/internet...and you can't even do that properly. Customer service also always says it seems to be working fine, get off the phone, and there's a big red X by the Wifi. Seriously, whichever gas station your getting these workers from, pick a new one or something because I see I'm not the only one giving a one star review. Usually when a company has a one and half star average they try and clean up their act but not Spectrum, they're just a different breed of imbeciles. Better get some functioning cable guys and customer service because AT&T and Xfinity are looking mad cute right now. I'd think a company with their own NBA arena would have more than seven brain cells, but hey, what do I know.
