Instead, I just bought a new compatible battery (thru Amazon) that could be replaced by Apple, or an Apple-authorized repair shop. After googling some reviews online, decided to call this repair shop. I was able to speak with Nick right away, and he made the whole process seem so easy and hassle-free...and said that they can usually do it within the same day. He also gave me a quote for the repairs. Not only friendly, but very helpful! Although I happened to visit the shop on a busy Wednesday afternoon, Nick managed to get my laptop battery replaced and the fan blower (?) cleaned within a few hours. He was even willing to work past their store hours to get it completed if necessary! Whew...I was SO relieved to hear that, as I would have hated to leave my personal laptop with them overnight. Not only was this process hassle-free and expedient, it costed under 100 bucks!! By now, I've tested my new battery strength, and it has improved tremendously.
