My name is Amanda Briley and I work at Concor Inc., in Greenville, NC. Trox Tech came into our business, during business hours, and helped us tremendously. They rewired the entire 4 buildings we have so that we were not in unsafe conditions any longer. They increased our speed of internet, and made it where if we have questions we can call them and they answer very quickly. They did all of this while not inhibiting any of the work that we had to do here at Concor and Specialty Tool & Supply. They worked early days and late nights, until the job was done. The team at Trox Tech includes Brooks, Tyler, Mike, and Chad. We got familiar with all of them while they were here helping us out. Brooks the owner said to me one day that "they don't want to give us the fish, they would like to teach us how to fish." And that sums up what they have done. Our calls made to them have lessened everyday because of them working all of the kinks we had out, and because they are teaching us to be able to solve simple problems on our own. I normally don't post reviews and I'm new to Yelp*; however, I just had to this time! My computer had a bad virus or something last night, screen was BLUE...blue screens are "bad". Anyway, I prayed that it wasn't something that could not easily be fixed because I have tons of photos and information that I particularly need to save. I searched the web and came up with Trox Tech's advertisement and read about their services offered and the approximate cost involved. I called yesterday evening and was greeted by the owner, Brooks who explained what I needed to do. I still wasn't sold until today when the tech showed up promptly and was so very pleasant. He looked things over here at home and said he'd need to take it in. My thoughts... oh NO, not taking it in! I figured it would be gone for days...NOT SO. I traded in my old HP laptop (after 13 yrs) for A reconditioned Mac Pro and found the process easy & painless. However, after getting set-up at home I realized I was out of my league, after working with Microsoft deck top & PC's. I called Chelsea @ Trox Tech and explained that I wanted my old PC back because I couldn't understand the new technology of Apple vs. Microsoft. She quickly calmed my fears & suggested that she would send a technician, Silmar who would sit with me @ home & explain & customize the Mac Pro to my understanding & liking. I had a totally satisfying experience with Trox Tech last week. My old desk top didn't fare so well after a thunderstorm and I woke up the next morning unable to connect to the internet. Not a good thing since I work in my office from home. I called Gateway and they referred me to a service which led me on a wild goose chase so-to-speak. After 2 days with them of trying this and that, nothing was accomplished. I looked on Yelp and Trox Tech was the first name I found. In less than 2 hours, Brooks was at my house and diagnosed the problem. He returned the next morning with the parts needed to get me back on line and working again. Problem solved in less than 24 hours and at half the price that Gateway's bunch wanted to charge me. This guy is "top notch" and will give you good service at reasonable prices! I work remotely from home for a Real Estate Management and Development Company in NYC and desperately needed assistance in setting up my home office and then maintaining any issues that would arise from time to time. I was having multiple daily problems with my laptop computer. I was anxious because I didn't know what the machine would do next. I was about ready to buy a new one, but I called Trox Tech for a diagnosis. They picked up the computer in the morning and returned it 6 hours later. They backed up all my data, restored the computer to its new out-of-the-box-condition, and assured me that the hardware was in good shape. Then they helped me restore my programs. When I got stuck restoring a program I called them and, using Log-Me-In, they helped me to get the programs up and going. When I called them I got a response either immediately or within 15 minutes. My computer was in bad shape, overrun by by viruses and barely working. I reached out to Trox Tech based on other yelp reviews and am so happy that I did. Brooks was friendly and easy to talk to. He offered to pick up the laptop and return it once he was done, which was extremely helpful. He picked the it up around noon and returned it by 6:30 pm. Upon return, the computer was as good as new, with all my data saved and restored. He also offered good advice on what to us to protect against future virus attacks. I had a Samsung Tablet die today. I was on my way to Best Buy to purchase another one because the Geek Squad told me over the phone that was what I needed. I recently had Trox Tech remotely repair my desktop Dell which took no time after I had spent days trying to fix it myself. I had 2 laptops that needed repair (HP pavilion that needed power jack replacement and a Dell that my kid dropped from kitchen counter and had screen display problem). Folks at Trox were great in fixing both within 24 hrs at a price that I thought was very reasonable. Other repair stores were asking twice the amount to fix with little explanation of what the problem was. Amazing Amazing customer service! I mistakenly broke my monitor stand (no there weren't four screws in the back of the monitor) and couldn't figure out how to fix it. He told me where I can find the part and since it was such an easy fix he stated that if I needed help I can bring it by so he could fix it for free. Based on prior expierence I called them back out for an outdoor TV installation, an outdoor sinus installation , and an upgrade to my alarm security system. This company is top notch! I had issues where I lost a file and was unable to boot up my computer. They were able to fix the boot up issue and recover my file. I was very impressed with the level of customer service and the time they took to explain everything in layman's terms for me.
