Relative to product, Henry Ford Optimeyes has a very large and appealing selection of frames and lenses to choose from where I had a hard time picking the glasses I wanted (good problem to have). Lastly, upon receipt of my new glasses the staff had me try them on to confirm fit and most importantly to read some printed matter of different font sizes to ensure the glasses provided the clear vision I wanted which they did. This family member hasn't been able to see properly for years. She recommended cataract surgery. The eye doctor we had been seeing for years never mentioned that my family member needed cataract surgery. We went to the cataract surgeon for the surgery, and my loved one now has nearly 20/20 vision for the first time in decades. The staff at Eyeglass World was very accommodating and friendly. Also, when I had to return a few times for adjustments to my loved one's reading glasses after the surgery, the staff made the adjustments quickly. One of the adjustments was made at no charge. Then they told me my vision was impaired by my cataracts. They said to come back after I had the cataracts removed. I did. I had another exam and got a new prescription. I am waiting for the new glasses. I was charged $46.40. I am disappointed, because I the Pearle guarantee states that they will, "make it right". I think making it "right" would be no charge. It was the doctor's mistake. Maybe the guarantee should state, "...we will make it right for an additional charge".

The glasses were delivered within the timeframe that was originally promised. That is where the good comments end. The glasses that were given to me to be fitted were totally unacceptable. The room was a blur. I needed the test card 5 or 6 inches from my face to read it. The only clear vision was across the room outside the window. I told the young lady that the glasses were totally unacceptable and I could see much better with my old glasses. She kept insisting that they were fine and I had to get used to them with time. When I pointed out how useless the bifocals were, she said that seamless trifocals might be the solution. I repeated several times that the glasses were totally unacceptable and I wasn't going to argue with her. Instead of referring this to the doctor (that was not seeing a patient at the time.) - she continued to insist that "I needed to get used to them". I have been wearing glasses my entire life and NEVER have refused a new pair of glasses. I told her a final time that I was not going to argue with her and got up and walked out without the new glasses. I have talked with my insurance carrier and was told after issuing a complaint that I cannot be covered to go to a different eye doctor for new glasses for a year because Dr Roy Wilson's exam used up my coverage. It would be totally out of pocket for another exam for glasses.

That said, even when it was busy, the staff was thoughtful and came over to ask if we wanted to sit instead of standing. The first pickup on a weekday there was no line! So, I walked a few feet down to the other end OF THE SAME DESK and a very nice woman checked me in. I waited for less than 5 minutes before they called me. I didn't get the name of the technician (a tall woman with short silver hair and lots of fun pins on her shirt), but she was very pleasant and fun to talk to. She did all of the pre-exam stuff and the puff of air thing. I'm probably the only person in the world who likes that! After that, I waited in a room for maybe 10-15 minutes for the intern to come in. He was really good as well. (I forgot his name.) And then, Dr. Jimenez came in, and he went over what the intern did, re-checked a couple things and sent me on my way. Everybody there (with the exception of the first person at the Welcome desk) was so nice, patient and kind. Even after trying on a dozen pair of frames and then deciding that the glasses were more than I wanted to spend, the assistant was very understanding. I will definitely continue to go there.
