Dr. Conway is very passionate about eye health and giving the best for his patients. My exam was very thorough, informative, and most importantly, I came away with an accurate prescription for my contacts and glasses. I highly recommended him. I did not feel pressured for any additional services or materials while browsing or after my exam. I purchased my eyeglasses and contacts through them and it came in a reasonable time with text notifications as soon as they were ready for pickup. Update : the office manager emailed me on April 22nd telling me they would text me in 7-10 days when my new lenses were ready. It's now June 6th and I've heard nothing. I've sent an email directly back to her asking what's going on AND sent a detailed message thru their website. Crickets. Really disappointing. Dr Conway is certainly the best optometrist I've ever met. I took my 12 year old to him yesterday. Her only previous experience had been through school eye exams. He took a lot of time explaining things. His voice and manner is very soothing. He keeps up on the latest education concerning cell phones, etc. He spent time discussing with both of us what happens to our eyes after being on our devices for too long and what we can do to prevent it. And he talks about what's happening to the eyes of young people all over the world. It was a very thorough exam. His staff was excellent. I am definitely switching drs and making an appointment for myself. If you have a child who you think may need glasses, this is the doctor for you! This place is the worst! They broke my roommates glasses this morning & refused to replace the frame or even repair them, claiming they were bound to break any ways as old as they are. HOGWASH!! You broke my roommates glasses & owe him a new pair. Instead you scotch taped them up & give him a card telling him go to All-American Eyeglass Repair to get them repaired at HIS expense when THEY broke his glasses. Disgraceful!!! read more

My family has been going to Dr. Conway for a long time, since he was the in-house optometrist at Costco. He fitted me for my first pair of contacts way back in middle school. Through the years, we've followed him across town and we've consistently received the same great service. My mom had a particularly good experience with Dr. Conway's office recently, which inspired me to write this review. She went in for an eye exam and to get a new pair of reading glasses. Even though she had already gotten a pair of glasses this year, Liz worked it out with her insurance to let her use next year's allowance for the lenses, and then helped her pick a set of frames that she likes. And since she lives in California most of the time now, Dr. Conway had the glasses mailed to her so she didn't have to wait until the next time she's in Oregon to pick up the glasses. My mom is extremely happy with her new glasses and with the excellent service she received from Dr. Conway and his staff! read more

I wish I could give Specs 20/20 more stars! After many, many, MANY eye exams... Dr. Conway provided the most informative, kind, and helpful eye exam. He is such a lovely person. I had been dealing with several sight issues that he completely solved with a minor adjustment in my prescription. I picked up a snazzy new pair of specs which I LOVE (the frame selection here is top notch!). The clinic itself has a very modern yet cozy feel to it and the staff here is friendly and knowledgeable. It got pretty busy while I waited to place my frame order, but I never felt like I was being ignored as his staff was very apologetic. Agreed with other reviews. 5 stars for doctor. He's good with adults and kids. He spends a lot of time at each exam and answers all questions. Then it comes the eyeglasses business that he's not involved. Office rate barely meet 1 Star. The show run by pushy manager and her staff. Very uncomfortable and extremely rush thru the process. She needs to learn that picking eyeglasses it's very important. Not shirts or shoes that you can change daily. These are identity of individuals. The office can get very crowded since their business is doing good but when the manager is on vacation her staff are paralyzed leaving behind phone communications. If you have all the time in the world and need a specific pair you might give them a month to call you back. Their pricing is also higher than other new establishments in town. Best insurance still needs to pay out of pocket for lens and frames. Just that part alone is competitive to order glasses online without any insurance. So yes see doctor here and ask them to print out your prescription and go elsewhere. read more

Having lived in three different states and had several optometrists, I would say Dr. Conway is the best optometrist I have seen so far. He is not only extremely professional, knowledgeable and thorough, but also very personable. He took his time to understand your needs, make recommendations, and help you make a decision by explaining the pros and cons of each option. Many doctors may have similar skills, but few would listen and talk to their patients in the same way as Dr. Conway does. I have learned something new about my vision from him after wearing glasses for 20+ years. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Liz (the office manager) helped me try on probably a dozen frames, yet did not make me feel pressured to buy anything. She is very pleasant and also knowledgeable about glasses. Had my first ever eyeglass prescription filled here in 2018, relied heavily on advice from office staff salesperson. When choosing I tried on several different manufacturers and styles and was assured that my selection, Tom Ford, would be well made and long-lasting. She suggested several costly lens upgrades which I accepted and was assured Tom Ford frames were of high quality. The total bill was about $850.00, $330.00 covered by insurance. In October of 2020 one of the frame's arms fell off, I visited the store where office staff repaired. Two weeks later the arm fell off again so I visited again on Jan 4 and was informed that the hinge was broken and glasses were out of warranty, two years ending November 26, 2020. I asked if any exception could be made since so close to the expiration date and 3-month lockdown, and they told me to leave glasses and they would speak to the manufacturers representative. Today, Jan 5 they called to inform me that manufacturer would not extend the warranty and no other remedy was offered. I was told that the frame manufacturer was not making any exceptions because they were not doing well financially due to Covid, this seemed odd to me as I don't think Covid eliminates the need for glasses. I am disappointed that very little effort was made to service the product that they recommended and sold to me. I do need new glasses and will look elsewhere for better advice, follow-up, and quality. read more

After having to leave my last optometrist of 20 years because of insurance changes, I was doubtful that I would find a practice that I loved so much. Dr Conway and Specs2020 was actually recommended by my first optometrist and I am so glad I took his recommendation. I LOVE this practice.
