This was my first time at this clinic and I had a great experience! The doctor gave me more time and information than I've received from any other ophthalmologist. They also have a very wide selection of frames to choose from, however they are not able to order anything that they do not carry in clinic - I was thinking of re-ordering the frame I already have but they couldn't order it since they don't carry it. What's on display is all quite expensive, but when I mentioned my budget, I was directed to a wide selection of much more budget-friendly frames and found one I actually preferred over the more expensive options. I definitely plan to make this my "medical home" for my eye care! read more

I just want to jump on here and say I love this place. I had been going to a couple corporate places for a while and always felt like I was pushed through so fast. My PCP goes to Vivid and recommended I make the drive over which is an hour with no traffic. So I did. I had been having auras every other day for months. Turns out my Rx was wrong and Vivid got me fixed up with new glasses in A WEEK. I don't even need computer glasses as well as my day to day glasses anymore and my auras decreased to a couple a week. I also was given other recommendations for skincare health and diet to help my eyes. I have never gotten that level of care and it's all helping me tremendously. I'm a forever patient now. I love making an appointment and seeing the doctor at the appointment time, this happens consistently Vivid Eye Care. I had double vision and a multitude of other symptoms and after thousands of dollars spent on medical tests with my physician, no answer was found. My first visit to Vivid Eye Care was easy and quick. I made an appointment over the phone - I first left a message but then someone called me back right away to schedule. Two weeks later, I had my appointment which started right on time. I knew I needed glasses and the doctor was very helpful and friendly. He put some lenses into a temporary glasses frame type of thing so I could see what the lenses would feel like. Afterwards, I ended up ordering glasses at the office since they have a pretty good variety of frames to try out. I'd probably get my glasses somewhere cheaper in the future, but insurance covered most of it and I was in a hurry. I picked up my glasses a week later and I'm very happy with them. I got the anti reflective coating since I work on a computer a lot and they've definitely made my eyes a lot happier. read more

We love our doctor ...doctor Oliver Gonzales but the support staffs not really !! I had this experienced last year and this year the same thing too. We both always get new glasses or sunglasses every year thats why we always pick one of them !! anyways today since i couldnt find frame that interest me since our appt last month so i found online and i made another appt to purchase sunglasses with prescription !! when i get there the lady said they couldnt find for asian fit so she might order the regular fit !! My husband said would you call ur OAKLEY Representative and ask them if they can order for my wife !! Finally she talked to them and be able to get asian fit before we order for prescription because it need to be fit first !! Hope this wont take a long time she said she call us if they already here !! (Cross my finger) For some reasons everytime we ordered glasses or sunglasses we always call them if they ready to be pick up !! eventho they said they will call us if they ready to be pick up !! For us they never be pro active to call customer if they're glasses or sunglasses ready to be pick up !! We both thinking im not sure we come again for buying glasses or sunglasses at their place its always hassle to get good customer service at their place but we do love our doctor for sure !! I find it refreshing to see an eye clinic who cares about their customers. I went to Dr Lynch 's store to get a renewed prescription. She told me about how she and her people endured the pandemic and I am glad they did. Even though initially I didn't end up buying any glasses nor contacts from the store, the staff were very helpful. I need different versions of contact lenses for my left and right eye so I don't have to get more lenses than I need but the original prescription could not accommodate that. After doing some research, I found a new set of contacts brands that would work but I need the prescription updated. I emailed the staff and they got it updated quickly. As far as the doctors Lynch & Tran are concerned, they are all pretty good. What I take exception with is the extreme pressure to take your money there. They try to guilt you into paying $40 to take pictures of your eyes as opposed to dilating them. "The dilating drops ARE covered by your insurance, but you know what's better, taking photos!" And, FORGET about just going to get a checkup and new prescription. After the exam, the doctor dumps you off at the counter to discuss all your options with an optician who tries to guilt you into buying the $300 glasses with all the bells and whistles. "But you work on the computer, you NEED the $50 blue tint! You WANT the auto tinting!" I tried in the past to buy some glasses there and they did not fit right, after several attempts I ended up throwing them in a drawer out of frustration. $300 down the drain. NO RETURNS which means they do not stand by their products and out all the risk on YOU to spend your money. Want contacts? You can order them thru the office or order them online and save lots of $$$, but when you ask for your prescription so you can order they either don't send it to you or begrudgingly send it to you with all kinds of "warnings" about buying online. I get it that they make a lot of their $$ selling stuff, but if I cannot afford to buy there or want to purchase elsewhere, I should NOT be guilted or made to feel stupid like I'm not smart enough to know what's best for me! The staff actually changed their attitude towards me 1000% when they realized I was not going to be buying anything from them. I mean, seriously. read more

Ugh. Raise yo hand if you do not like medical insurance. Or...insurance. I've had a good enough job for a few years where I have insurance, yay! What does it cover? Who. Effing. Knows. I did the cheaper route with Lens Crafters and was under-freaking-whelmed. Then I delayed doing an eyeball check for as long as I could. I mean I ran out of contacts plus a WEEK before I agreed to myself to do another eye exam. I just hate routine stuff like that. So making an appointment was simple. Then they call and remind. And you show up and the exam is as necessary. Which is better? One or two? No more puff test either, thank tiny baby Jesus. My insurance covers diddly squat - ie I have to buy my contacts and glasses pretty much out of pocket. Super. But this place doesn't pressure you into buying a damned thing at all. That's what I love. LOVE. I hate sales pressure so much it would make me avoid a place like the bubonic plague. But here? Nope. No pressure. Thank you. I've found my eye place. read more

I've been seeing Dr Lynch for several years now and after every visit I find myself thinking, "I love her! I wish she could be my doctor for everything!" Today's visit was no exception. In fact, it was even better because today she not only saw me but also gave my 7yo son his first eye exam. Afterward I asked him what he thought and he replied, "That was fun!" Dr Lynch was patient with him and explained everything. She's clearly no stranger to working with children, and she was just as wonderful and comfortable with him as she always is with me. She's a warm, friendly person who is excellent at what she does. She's given me eye exams, helped me with my lens prescriptions, even got a little piece of something out of my eye last year - quickly and painlessly. They always start my appointments on time and if they happen to be running a few minutes late Dr. Lynch herself comes out to explain. They also have a good selection of frames there. I must say what a wonderful place. I had a terrible eye exam from another optometrist office back in March, and shortly after covid put a damper on everything. The last prescription I received was way too strong, and did not feel right on my eyes. I walked in today and was greeted with a lot of optimism. I did not wait long until I was called in and I only spoke to the optometrist, no nurse, no waiting. It was incredible. Dr. Oliver Rosales was thorough with every procedure. He explained everything he was doing. He explained everything very clearly and didn't rush over a single detail during my visit. I am naturally an inquisitive person, however, with Dr Rosales detailed explanations I didn't have much questions. I was able to ask a few and Dr Rosales was very optimistic to answer them fully without glossing over any details. The young man who was helping me with choosing my glasses was incredibly nice, very helpful, and explained everything in detail to me as well. He was incredibly knowledgeable as it seems like this is the reoccurring theme here. I can't say it enough on how amazing this eye exam was. I was not a number but a very cared after patient. Over all my experience here was very poor. The eye exam was good but the front office staff are very sloppy and uneducated when it comes to insurance understanding. Every time I kept getting charged more and more and they kept forgetting to add on more charges. They wouldn't give my contact prescription to me at first too and kept trying to get me to come back in even though I was upset with how billing was handled and didn't want to come back and they could have simply filled an RX for the contacts I've been wearing all my life. I could have saved a lot of money if billing was better explained but I ended up spending more than I wanted. I won't ever be back here. I should have gone to costco. Atleast they are clear about their fees. Also they tried to blame me in an email because I was pissed they kept calling my husband bc he was on their as my emergency contact. One of the other owners was blaming me in an email saying that I didn't provide my number on my paperwork and if that wouldn't have happened they could have called me. I work in medical so I double checked my paperwork to make sure it was all filled in and I was very detailed. Listen if I put my emergency contact down then you better believe I put my own freaking # I don't even forget to give my # at the grocery store when checking out. Beside the matter there were four other opportunities to take my number..... I provided my # When I scheduled When I filled out paperwork When I paid the bill over the phone they forgot to charge me for when I was there Then they called my husband AGAIN for my number to contact me And when I called in pissed about another surprise bill they sent. That's FIVE times I gave my phone number. That doesn't sound like my fault. That sounds like your guys fault. But OK. Just sloppy the way they handled everything. Wouldn't recommend. read more

The doctor spent more time on suggesting that I buy frames from this place rather than actually talking to me about the health of my eyes. The eye exam was done, no conversation with me , nothing. I felt welcomed as soon as I walked into the building. The front desk was attentive, friendly and accommodating. They are also extremely patient as we tried to work out my insurance misunderstanding. Oh, my eyes are a mess. One is almost 20/20 and the other is shaped like a football and I hadn't had my eyes checked in awhile (probably 5 years) so I knew it was time, plus there was a small mass on my lower eye lid I wanted checked out. My boss recommended Vivid Eye Care so I made an appointment and thought, great look at me adulting! Day of the appointment was pretty standard. The reception person greeted me and I was called back, they did the standard tests, I showed the doctor my current glasses, and waited in the exam room. When he came back in it was the most forced conversation I have ever had to sit through. Granted, I know some people just are not very chatty but I shouldn't be the only one trying to talk. To my surprise he told me me eyes haven't changed at all so my prescription would stay the same. I thought that was odd given my increased computer use, my age (I hit 40) and everyone in my family needs to change their prescription about every three years. But, oh well. What i did find odd is he made no offer to have my current glasses cleaned or adjusted. **I did go see another eye doctor recently and my prescription was adjusted and my eyes feel much better. Now, remember that mass I mentioned? I brought that up to him and he took a look at it, asked if it hurt, and said it's clearly cosmetic and gave me the name of a plastic surgeon in the pearl district. Since insurance doesn't cover cosmetics I thought, oh well. I noticed recently the shape of the mass was changing so I went in to see a dermatologist, within a week I was scheduled for a biopsy, surgery, and specialized ocular cosmetic surgery...that's right, it was CANCER!! Now I could go on for an hour about how scary this experience was but I will spare you...however, I do feel that practice should spend a little more time listening to their patients because something else could be happening besides someone needing new glasses. read more

Great place to go for your eye care! Walked into the clinic and felt like I was at home, very cute setting and inviting staff. The appointment was super easy to schedule and got me in within 4 days of calling for an appointment. During the visit all my many questions were answered and never felt like they were not paying attention. Details about my visit where explained, so I never felt like I was unaware of what was going on. Dr. Knutson was very informative and understood my concerns. Left the clinic with no regrets. Great customer service........even though I did not have a problem, I overheard another patient who did. He was upset about a previous purchase, from what I understood, and even though it did not sound like the clinic did anything wrong, the staff handled the situation very well and did not make the patient feel like it was his fault. By the time that patient left he was smiling due to the good customer service in the clinic, I was very impressed. read more

Been using Vivid since moving to the area in 2010, Dr Lynch is by far the best optician I have had, and has been excellent at getting my wife the referrals to the specialist eye care she needs. Their new offices are amazing, comfortable, and extremely welcoming. If you have any questions, just call them and they will help you. Things I like: - Dr. Lynch always gives thorough explanations of the exam results, and of the eyes in general. - They always give me a print-out of the exam results, and they always offer an itemized receipt for reimbursements. - I've never had to wait - the staff and doctors have always been right on time. The only issue I've ran into is their selection of sunglasses frames - I couldn't find anything that worked for me. I've been seeing Dr. Linda Knutson four years now and continue to be pleased with her service. She's super-friendly, and continually updates me as to what she's doing and finding. She makes sure all my questions are answered before we leave the exam room. On my last visit, the gal who performed all the pre-testing was equally as friendly and explained carefully what she was doing, what actions she needed from me and what I'm likely to experience during the testing. Making, and remembering, appointments is easy - they send me an email several months out that it's time to set up an appointment, and as the appointment approaches they send both email and phone reminders. The staff welcomes me when I arrive. The whole operation is well-tuned. I have not purchased glasses here so can't comment on that aspect of the office. They were able to get me in for an appointment, the entire staff was friendly/ knowledgeable, Dr. Lynch was amazing, and even though they were really busy, everyone (quite literally) helped me to pick out my new frames, which were covered 100% by my insurance. It is very refreshing to speak to competent receptionists at optometrists/dental offices/anywhere. Thanks Mai and co. -- not once did you try to convince me that I didn't know how my insurance works. I love that! Dr. Lynch gave a thorough eye exam and is clearly passionate about what she does. Getting any kind of exam can be a tense experience, but I was never indisposed. If anything, I was too busy racking my brain for eye-related jokes to fill in those pesky pauses when notes are jotted ad nauseum on a clipboard or misplaced instruments are being sought after. Good thing those pauses were few and far between! Because I had nothing. The waiting area is clean and polished, but somehow avoids the white-box corporate aesthetic (I mean, there's a little of that obviously). I wish some more affordable frames were on display, because I hate the idea of going back to Visionworks, where every problem with my lenses seems to stem from wiping them off with my shirt once or twice. That smug nod they always do.... Anyway, I received only a routine exam and a contacts fitting, but left feeling reassured that I'd made the right choice. Yelp reviews for health care providers are a crapshoot, plagued with harrowing accounts of long wait times and terrible inconveniences, so hopefully knowing that my visit was rather mundane is a virtue. I went here because it's close to my work. I already had my prescription so this is a review for frames only. I ordered a pair of Ray Bans and the woman who helped me was very nice but also new and seemed flustered. When she asked her coworker for help, you could tell the other lady was frustrated with her. After I placed my order I received a call saying that the frames were coming from out of the country and would take about 10 business days to get to the shop and then another 10 business days to have the lenses put in them. I wish I knew these glasses would take the better part of a month before I ordered them. I looked into a pair of glasses but, even with my great insurance it would still have been about $150 out of pocket so I didn't place the order. When I picked them up I was handed the frames, offered no adjustments, no cleaning cloth or cleaning fluid. Very disappointed. So I went to Warby Parker on NW 23rd and ordered a pair of glasses for $95 with frames and lenses. Great experience. read more
