Front of this large Specialty Market.

I'm from California so we have plenty of options for Middle Eastern Markets but I was in Utah and wanted to visit a Middle Eastern Market, and I was beyond impressed with their customer service, selection and prices... Their prices are so good I'm stocking up on some items that I'm bringing back to Southern California with me!!! If you're in the area, it's a market you have to at least visit once and I'm sure you'll be back since they have so many different options for everybody.

Update! This little market expanded about 3 months ago and now it's HUGE! Specialty Market is an absolute culinary wonderland. They've got a huge selection of fresh flat breads, fresh produce, an entire wall of every spice and blend you've never been able to find. They've got huge jars of gorgeous olives, fresh herbs, mango nectar, goat cheese, tea, coffee, specialty pastas and vermicelli - I have fallen in love all over again - but this time much harder. And two words. OUD. PERFUME. Even if you're not feeling Middle Eastern cuisine for dinner tonight, anyone who appreciates a good perfume or cologne will swoon at the the tantalizing selection of rich, oudy scents available here. They're unlike any western perfume you've ever smelled. Also - here's a tip for all my pomegranate lovers out there: this market has pomegranates longer than the grocery stores, and they're about twice the size. Another tip: Yogurt. If you like plain Greek yogurt for anything, breakfast, cooking, smoothies, etc. - get it here. They sell it in large tubs and it tastes better than any Greek supermarket brand. Last tip: Don't waste your time with tiny bricks of overpriced supermarket lamb. Get your lamb here, ground, bone in, boneless. It's far better and it's half the price.

Bottom line is that these places that cater to thousands of customers a day will have a proportionate large number of complaints. But that will not stop people from still shopping there. Such is the case for this Smith's. This location is clean, well stocked, and has nice employees. I don't know what else you would look for in a grocery store. The high end would be Harmon's, low end would be Ream's. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

This is absolutely unacceptable conduct by a cashier to see the shopping cart was still full of items just ring up 1 item and then close out the order and not allow the shopper to keep using the same QR code. All because of a language barrier and now I have no money and no food, I also have to wait few days to get a refund. The manager at Smiths was NO help whatsoever and kicked the can down the road because of instacart This is poor quality of customer service and negligence on the cashier and NO customer service care by the manager. Very disappointing in the store and its workers

My blood sugar was in the high 500's and who knows how long it had been that way as I had not been feeling well. I also had pneumonia. I was sent immediately to the emergency room where I spent the next 6 days recovering. These ladies saved my life and in appreciation.I was looking for something nice to do. Sprouts team member T heard my story and offered me sample bags to start me off and they were filled with all sorts of goodies! I added some personal items and I am so excited to gift my little ladies with these goodie bags all thanks to T. HIDDEN GEM! This…read morelittle market is packed with all kinds of goodies. My favorite part was the large selection of fresh and marinated meats, they've got cuts you can't find in a chain grocery store. It's all displayed behind a case, you ask the butcher to weigh the amount you're looking for, then it's bagged and tied up. I got a pound of the marinated flap steak to grill for tacos - it's absolutely amazing! The produce section is a bit limited, but there is plenty of what is needed for Mexican and Central American cuisine; Roma tomatoes, aloe vera, cilantro, radishes, peppers, limes, green onions, yellow and white onions, key limes, etc. Every lime I touched was the perfect ripeness, a very different experience than most other stores' citrus selections. There were many different sizes of corn and flour tortillas, some were crispy, some were made from blue corn, big bags, small bags. I loved the drink selection here of Mexican beers, aloe drinks, yogurt and fruit drinks, etc. There are a few aisles of dry and canned goods, pastas, beans, cooking oils, chips, masa, lots of Mexican sweets, shampoo, household cleaning items. I noticed this market has an awesome hot sauce and spice selection right next to the meat counter, you could probably read bottles for 30 minutes and still have more to see. I found some excellent freshly made unlabeled salsa in a fridge by the check out (very tasty, very spicy!), some baked goods, and a selection of tortilla presses and other cooking implements by the entrance. The staff is very friendly and speaks mostly Spanish, but language wasn't a barrier at all, I got everything I needed here! In love and I'll be back! Tips: * park in the parking lot in the back of the building and enter through that door, there is no access from Main Street * don't forget the quesa fresca!

I still go to other markets for certain items (like my favorite kimchi brand that H Mart doesn't sell) but I come here for everything else. It's insanely clean and bright and smells good inside, for those who care about such things. They have tons of variety in brands so I can find exactly which Korean/Thai/Chinese variety I've gotten used to. Very well stocked in the pantry aisle and a nice selection of kitchenware and household items, beauty products, gifts. The deli section is well stocked with ready-made kimbap and banchan. Big freezer and seafood section too. There is only a boba and K-beauty shop in the leased storefronts in the front of the market but hoping they attract some restaurants into the area soon like Chinatown. We need some good Asian food down south!
