Prepare to be transported into a wonderland of culinary possibility when you set foot into this store. I have a hard time not dropping my bags and coat when I walk in and shouting "I'm home!" Harmon's has a little bit of everything, except they cut out the crap and just offer the better version. Bread? How about crusty, baked in-store rustic loaves. Oil? How about a selection of herb infused olive oils. Cheese? How about a soft, creamy wedge from somewhere in France? Everything is fabulous. Even the kitchenware. Even the chocolate bars. Even the greeting cards. This store is gorgeous and inviting, it's easy to go on a complete bender and detour from your original dinner plans for the entire week and come out with all the ingredients to open up a small bistro. You could vacation here for an entire afternoon. What I quickly realized is that the value at Harmon's is in their fresh departments around the edges of the store, the things their high quality employees make. Center store has some lovely things, but if you're just going on a grocery run for a bag of chips, or some cans of beans, it's a bit too spendy. Harmon's also offers their own catalogue full of recipes corresponding to seasonal foods, which is great to pick up before shopping if you don't really have many great ideas for an upcoming meal. Everything this store does is high quality. I can't wait to come back!

The weirdest thing about this place is that your total is not shown on your receipt. I've never seen that before! I went here on 05/28/13 to go buy some groceries while I was on a business trip so that I could make myself lunch during the week than try to find food that I like around town. The produce is great and actually not a bad deal. Dairy is a little expensive and they don't sell raw milk here - which is specifically why I came here. I figured that an upscale, organic store would have it. Roast chicken is about a $1 more than it is back at home in Las Vegas, but they have less chemicals, so I guess it works out. The store is big and some things are hard to find - I walked around probably 3-4 times trying to find everything I wanted. There's a huge kitchenware section right in the middle of the store. The place is clean and looks nice but a lot of the products are expensive compared to other stores that sell the same products.

The employees in the supplements area are generally much nicer and helpful. Today I went for their anniversary sale. They had a wheel to be spun but the employee just looked at me when I walked up and said I had to purchase something first before spinning and that they will be there until 7:30. That was weird considering everyone else got to spin before entering but whatever. As I was in line to check out I noticed they were shutting down the table despite saying they should be up until 730 and it was only 7. The cashier was helping a regular customer which I understand bc she was elderly even calling for assistance to help her bring her groceries to her car. However she completely left the register to help her put the raffle tickets in the boxes without even letting me know or telling me she would be back. I stood there like a chump for a good 5 minutes. I had unloaded everything onto the conveyor belt already spending over $350 over the past two days. Only after the other cashier called her back did she return without an apology. If this is how you treat customers I will for sure not be returning.

I recently visited Dave's to make a return and to purchase some supplements and unfortunately had a…read morevery disappointing experience with their return policy and customer service that left me feeling treated like a criminal rather than a valued customer. My sister bought several supplements at my request during post partum that came with a promotional offer at a later date. When I decided to return a couple of unopened items (within the return window), I was told I couldn't process the return without also surrendering the promotional offer--even though I was immediately buying additional supplements that more than qualified me for the same promotion again. The staff insisted on the full original card being returned, acting as if I was trying to scam the system by keeping it. The interaction felt accusatory and overly suspicious from the start. Instead of working with me as a repeat customer who was still spending money in the store, they made me feel like I was committing fraud. No flexibility, no common sense applied--just rigid policy enforcement that treated me like I was dishonest. I understand stores need to protect themselves from abuse, but this approach completely lacks basic customer service principles. A simple solution like issuing a new card for my new purchase or verifying eligibility on the spot would have resolved it instantly. Instead, the experience was stressful and left a sour taste. While the product selection and prices might be decent, the way I was handled during this return makes me hesitant to shop here again. Customer service matters just as much as the products on the shelf. In this case, it fell far short.
