So after another disappointing poke place in Utah (chicken poke bowl is not a thing! This is how u know a real local from a Utahn selling "Hawaiian food"), I decided to make my own... Obviously from my rating u know how much I love this place. They have flash frozen tuna and hamachi. They have everything u need! We went together and she walked me up and down each aisle, introducing me to new items and daydreaming together about how we would prepare them in a meal. Of course, we didn't leave empty-handed! Yes, it was the produce section that got me in the door, but there's more than just that. You'll find every imaginable noodle and seaweed snack on the planet and spices and sauces that you didn't know existed. Plus, the dumplings, potstickers and frozen prepared meals! This is my first time at H Mart! Our Asian grocery stores are nothing like this back home. My friend suggested coming here to check out. I'm always down to check out different Asian market that carries snacks and goodies that aren't available in my neck of the woods. I am mesmerized at how big, clean and organized this store is. The produce section is amazing! So many different veggies and fruits. The snack aisle was great! So many different chip and candy options. I appreciate all the different variety of ramen noodles. We aren't really cooking at our Airbnb so we didn't really check out the meat section. We just mainly checked out the goodies. I love the little section of fun toys, bowls and Sanrio products. I'm a sucker for Sanrio products and they had quite a few options. If I lived in this area, this store would hate to see my coming! It's such a neat store and they literally have everything you need for Asian cuisine. It was neat being able to check this joint out. I got a lot of goodies and treats for my kids that we wouldn't be able to get back home. I look forward to them enjoying all the stuff I got for them! read more

I love H Mart. Chinatown Supermarket is wonderful but I live in Sandy now and found the offerings pretty limited for Asian markets. I still go to other markets for certain items (like my favorite kimchi brand that H Mart doesn't sell) but I come here for everything else. It's insanely clean and bright and smells good inside, for those who care about such things. Their produce is fresh and well-stocked (though sometimes random things are very picked over like green onions). They have tons of variety in brands so I can find exactly which Korean/Thai/Chinese variety I've gotten used to. Very well stocked in the pantry aisle and a nice selection of kitchenware and household items, beauty products, gifts. The deli section is well stocked with ready-made kimbap and banchan. Big freezer and seafood section too. There is only a boba and K-beauty shop in the leased storefronts in the front of the market but hoping they attract some restaurants into the area soon like Chinatown. We need some good Asian food down south! read more

This H mart is amazing, lots of selection and it's massive. The hot food selection is more than the H marts that I have been too in Oregon and in Arizona. The seafood and produce has a large variety and they keep things looking fresh here. The store is very clean and very well stocked. Although there is only one boba shop here, they have signs up on the empty storefronts where more food spots will be. I can't wait for the Vegas H mart to finally open to see if it will compare to the size of this one. read more

Actually a 4.5 star rating. I'll give it a true 5 stars once they get the restaurants in. (I'm just being picky.) This is a great Asian store, Korean-centric. I'm used to an H Mart triple the size of this one in Mesa, Arizona. (I recently moved here from Tucson.) I'm very happy that there is an H Mart within 12 minutes of my house as it is one of my favorite Asian markets. This H Mart just opened in July. It has the same feel as other H Marts. I've been to one in Boston and the one in Mesa. The boutiques selling wares that are not groceries are smaller than the ones I'm used to, but they do have them. As far as groceries, they have it all. If you haven't been to an H Mart before, just know that it is well-lighted, clean, and well organized. You will love the meat section. Everything is packaged like a work of art. The fresh meat is fresh. There is an excellent inventory of frozen meat as well. Do you need thinly sliced ribeye or wagyu for your hotpot, shabu shabu, or sukiyaki? They have it. Or for your bulgogi? Yep, of course. The seafood offerings are very good. While there is not a restaurant open yet, they do have a deli that sells a variety of Korean dishes. Worth checking out. It looks like they will eventually have 2-4 restaurants there. (The food court in the Mesa H Mart has around 15 restaurants, all amazingly good.) A great place to shop. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. I came here to kill some time and let traffic die down before heading home after work. It was also a fun dopamine boost to go somewhere new and get a bunch of new and tried and true snacks to try. This place is pretty large. There is a bubble tea place inside and looks like a restaurant is coming soon. There is produce, cleaning supplies, cosmetics, kitchen supplies, meats, deli, sweets, drinks, and more. Also, premade sushi, bibimbap, dumplings, Korean fried chicken wings, etc. at the deli if you're hungry and tables to sit and enjoy after paying. There were also a few fun little games like the claw machine and machines to exchange dollars for tokens. The place was very clean overall from the aisles to the bathroom and the staff I interacted with was so friendly. Worth the 30 min drive as it is clean with a wide selection of items such as hot foods, seafood/meats, snacks, frozen goods, and fresh produce. I prefer to get seafood from here although it is previously frozen. I do wish they had more Filipino food options but I do appreciate that most food isn't close to expiring like Asian stores near my current location. Slightly let down. I heard all the rave about Hmart coming to UT and I was so excited after hearing so many good reviews. I frequent the small but well-stocked Orem Asian market and was curious to see what the larger chain H-mart has in store! The produce section is magical. It's clean, organized, beautiful, and has all you need! The hot food selection is nice but could be mote expansive. The instant noodle selection is sad. The only udon variety I could find is the same brand that Costco carries. They don't carry any ASSI products and the organization is a bit confusing. I likely won't be making the drive up here when the Asian market in Chinatown SLC and the Orem Asian market have much more variety! Parking is ample and service was kind. read more

I saw the IG post and was excited to visit but when one of my workmates told me about the gimbop I had to go. When I went, around dinner time, the shelves were bare. There will be other day! So much fresh foods and water melons with seeds!/non gmo. The produce selection is huge and everything looks vibrant and clean. I can't wait to go back. There's whole rows just for frozen wonton another for noodles. Just rows and rows of great foods that allow for more variety at home. It's huge, clean amd organized. I will be back! It's a bit overwhelming when you first walk in. There's just so many aisles to roam through, a variety of fresh produce to choose from, and a ton of new stuff I've never seen before! The one thing I was looking for was some fresh japchae. Whether it's premade, frozen, or in their deli aisle, I couldn't find it. I did find these cute little frozen dumplings with animal faces on it. I've always wanted to try one so I can finally check this off the bucket list. I came around 630pm and the hot food section appeared to be closing up. There were just a couple of beef and noodle bowls available. Hey Utah has an H mart! In all honesty I have not been to an H Mart elsewhere so can't compare. However this one is large, ample parking and even though it's new and relatively busy was still easy enough to walk around. A large variety of seafood. Great produce selections and I could see myself coming back for fresh fruits and veggies. Plenty of everyday essentials as well. You could do a full grocery shopping here. read more

We went early this morning. 30 minutes after opening. I thought it was closed because there were no cars in the lot, but thankfully we were just early. This place is huge! I got there early and was still overwhelmed. I started in one area and I couldn't help being pulled into every other area! I skipped over aisles and I am sure I missed out on different items because of the sheer volume of items here. Because of the expense of items these days, I make sure to note the price of items. I noticed my Organic Fuji apples ($0.99) were not added in to the P.O.S. system correctly by the cashier when I had got to my car and looked over the receipt. I walked back in and told the information desk. She told me to bring my apples back in. Which I did. Then she proceeded to give me my refund. She was also glad I came back because I saved almost $4. For me that's a significant savings. I also got the prepared gimbap. Avocado and vegetable. So yummy! I will definitely be back to explore more items here. Definitely recommend. read more

Grocery-wise, they have everything a normal Hmart would, including an expansive produce section and viral frozen snacks. Unfortunately, there are 2 reasons they are not as good as other Hmarts: 1) they don't have a food court and shops 2) their prepared foods section is seriously lacking. Most of the items are frozen, including the banchan. The kimbap is made in-house but I tried two rolls and they were so bland. I no longer buy any banchan or ready-to-eat foods there, and that's usually one of the best things about Hmart. Overall, I'm glad we have our own Hmart in Utah, and I will continue to support it, but I do wish it lived up to the standards of other ones. IT is a nice, big store, and kept clean. read more

I didn't look through the produce section very much, but it was extensive. So many options! The frozen section is also very extensive. Everything was clean and well stocked! I love H Mart and this new one is awesome- the fresh seafood area is great - lots of fresh varieties- produce area has all kinds of fresh fruits & veggies - their freezers & refrigeration area are full of great Asian goodies - they also have a deli area with freshly made goodies and the meat department has everything from ox tail to beef tong and everything in between! I've been interested in coming to H Mart since it's opening this summer. What a amazing store. There are so many things to look at. I don't even know where to begin. Their produce has a lot of options and is a really great price. They have lots of different meat and fish. Of course, any type of noodle or rice that you can think of. They do have individual cups of ice, which I see all over social media with different drink pouches. I wanted to try some ramen noodles so I grabbed a few packages. We went to the new H Mart West Jordan and LOVED it! We got head on shrimp, scallops, and the ingredients to make hot and sour soup. This weekend is gonna taste delicious. And for lunch I got a cute hello kitty ramen. I love hello kitty. Oh...and we got some cool dragon bowls for our soup and they gave us a cute set of chopsticks that just happen to match. The fish counted smelled of fresh fish not the stank at other markets. The selection is plentiful and varied. They had tofu on sale for .99! Will need that for our hot and sour soup and will make Buddhas feast this week! The only let down was all the premade sushi and bowls were sold out and the line was super long. H Mart is a cut above any other Asian grocery store. Insanely wide selection with everything and everything you could possibly need - household items, hygiene, cleaning supplies, goods as simple as syrup and peanut butter, and endless choices. Something for everyone! My one critique is that the smell in the fish area was intense - I think they need to get a fan to blow some of the smell out of there. Hmart has been opened a while and I only recently came to check it out . Now it does have alot of cool things like cookware , spices , fresh seafood, specialty coffees . Produce wise to me it wasn't anything too special , the prices are competitive to say if you went to a smiths or Rancho market . One item I did see that I have not seen in another stores is yellow Pickled Radish which is popular in kbbq restaurants . It was sold in a huge bag so I prob would visit again to see the cuts of meat. Definitely recommend it for those who do like to cook and try new items . read more

If you want to try to go grocery shopping but make it exciting go to H Mart! There are endless options of fun stuff to buy and on Saturdays they have free samples! I love going to the drink and ramen aisle to see if I can find something a little exotic to try and make my day just a smidge more exciting! The skin care and beauty aisle is small but k beauty is definitely more popular now so now you don't have to go to Amazon you have something's you can try to right away! We love the deli area bc there are a good amount of things that you can eat right away. Like the kimbap, fried chicken and musubi just to name a few. Great produce, mushrooms and leafy greens were extremely fresh and at a great price. Great meats/seafood options as well, we picked up some salmon as well as sliced beef. Got some kimchi as well, loved how many more offerings they had than Chinatown, along with the prepackaged noodle options with chili and radish! Hot food items were not great, gimbap rice was soggy, topping had almost no flavor (spicy tuna and bulgolgi), chicken wings were dry. And how do they not have japchae? Store was clean, well lit, can't wait for the other side stores to open up to come back! read more

Wow can you believe it it's finally here? I waited a while after their grand opening to check it out and it is everything I had hoped for and more. It's the biggest Hmart I have visited so far and you could easily spend more than an hour in there just going down each aisle. My favorite is the bulgogi Kim bap rolls and the pre marinated bulgogi and chicken bulgogi and all the other deli items that are quick to take and eat right there. The kimchi dumplings were delicious and so was their fried chicken wings, so crispy and juicy. I also found yellowtail sashimi grade that was unique from other Asian markets here too. The space is large well stocked clean and organized making for a very pleasant shopping experience. read more

Super hyped this is finally open, the facilities are super nice and I'm excited to see what side businesses open up inside with time. Especially found of the fact that they've got self checkout. The prices for standard American products are definitely jacked up though, so for me it'll be more of a stop for novelties and specific products, Kimbap and such. read more

This place is awesome. Has been our go to since it opened and is much closer to us than driving to the supermarket in south SLC. Out of the handful of Asian supermarkets available in SLC area, this place is the go to. It's really clean and love how there is a wide variety of vegetables available compared to the other competitors. The only comment that we have with this place is that they don't have much Filipino products here which they should. I was able to find everything I needed very quickly from how well organized everything is. Was very excited to check out the frozen meat selection for beef slices for hot pot/shabu shabu. They even had two different cuts of American Grassfed Wagyu! Tons of amazing products and all my favorite Asian snacks, sauces, desserts... My wife and I often visit H Marts when we travel to cities like Phoenix, Chicago and Washington DC, and I always pout and lament that we don't have one in Utah. But we do now! Whoo hoo! We hadn't heard about the impending opening of an H Mart in South Jordan, but my wife saw a blurb about it online, so we drove right over. It's only 17 minutes from our house! At this moment, it doesn't even appear as a location on H Mart's website, yet. The store is HUGE, but not quite finished. Missing is a food court with restaurants and boutique shops. However, signage indicates that some are on the way. The seafood section is the biggest I've seen in Utah, but still smaller than at H Marts in other cities. I couldn't find fresh uni, though. I often buy a big bucket of marinated Korean short ribs (galbi) from an H Mart near Phoenix, whenever we visit my wife's parents. I couldn't find it in the South Jordan store. I recently searched for fresh shiso leaves (aka perilla aka sesame leaves) at a few other Asian markets, but none had them. The H Mart does! All in all, though, the store has a good selection of foodstuffs, but is still a work in progress. I'm glad that we went, today, because we got some Grand Opening swag. I've shopped at H-Mart for years and really enjoy the place, but the smell of the floor cleaner has gotten so overpowering lately that it's honestly baffling no one in management seems aware of it. The Fabuloso hits you as soon as you walk in and clings to everything--your clothes, your groceries, even the fish--so my whole house ends up smelling like industrial cleaner for days. The seafood section is the worst; the odor is so strong it literally pushes my spouse and me out of the store before we're even done shopping. Whoever is running the cleaning protocols needs to take a serious look at this. What is going on, and how has no one on the management team noticed how extreme this has become? read more
