I worked with Ethan to design and make a rear window auto decal for promotional purposes and bring awareness to my Instagram account. The work done in a timely manor and the service was very good. Ethan spent a fair amount of time troubleshooting a QR code problem and advised the right remedy for me. It came out great. Jameel installed the vinyl decal when it ready and he too, did a great job. Both gentleman were friendly, knowledgeable and service oriented. I will definitely use them again. read more

Great experience working with Special Signs! I had rush jobs, where we needed to install early January. Hung was so pleasant to work with. Every question I had, he replied right away. His pricing is great and really fair! Not only were we able to coordinate everything during the holidays, they were ready to install by Jan. 5th! So helpful and they did a wonderful job! Jamil and Juan were experienced and professional too! Such a great team of experts to work with. Call them for your next signage project - they will get the job done right, on-time, and within budget! Thank you Hung, Jamil, and Juan! :) read more

Hung the owner is very helpful, I need website rider 6x24" for realtor ASAPP, I called the store and He said he can help me, he told me to come over. When I get to their store, he designed the website rider and print it on sturdy metal. They use good quality material and while waiting for the sign to be made, he give me tour of his shop, he have very high tech machine (no wonder the quality are far superior) He show this machine and the truck fleet *Auto Grommet Machine *Sign Router Machine *Laser Format Printers/Plotters *Sign Installation / Maintenance Crane Once the sign ready, I am very satisfied customer and willing to drive from my work to his store to get more signs. I would recommend Speciality Signs to friend and Co worker read more

Very disappointed with this very dishonest owner, I paid him $410.63, to do the window poster. After paid 2 weeks I went to his office, tried to talk about it, he told me send him in email , he and his wife were going to leave, I'm 2 hours way driving there. Then I just did my poster in my local . When I asked him I want my money back, he told me he doesn't have any my info, he won't .Even i showed the paper of receipt, I paid money did not get nothing. That's not fair . read more

Came to get the number 12 as a sticker for my storefront and asked for pricing on sizes. Came out to be $27 with tax regardless of sizing from 1"-6". Price matched on Amazon and found every deal better than what's offered here. $20 on Amazon for 2, 6" copy of every number. Would not recommend coming to this shop if you're looking for a good deal. Come here if you have absolutely no other option or access to the internet for other options. read more

If you want the best signage and fast, detailed, and professional service, this is your place. Kind and considerate are the staff here. They listen and make what you want come to life on a beautiful sign. I am the proud owner of Fusion Wings in Montebello and business actually increased due to signage they made for my restaurant. I'm back today getting other signs and I will never use another sign company other than special signs. They truly are special read more

The City came back with major corrections for his design. I had to go with another company and ended up paying another $2,900 to get my signage. This guy does not know what he is doing. He will waste your time and money. Terrible. Pretends like he knows what he knows what he is doing. Complete amateur. He says "Yes, yes, of course, yes, I can do it." All lies. He doesn't know what he is doing. I showed his drawings and plans to the city and thy laughed, told me this is all wrong. Don't trust him, he will waste your time and money. read more

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! This is a lengthy review, but its worth reading to save yourself a headache! So I paid $3300+ custom lit signage made by these guys. They (installer name was Mauricio) installed the signage and they said that I didn't have a timer for the sign. So I authorized them to install a timer. Fast forward couple weeks later, I drove by my shop and the sign isn't even lit up on the time they said they set it on (6:30pm-1am) So I called them to take a look at it the 1st time around, and they said that everything working properly, and Hong (owner) had left and told me that it was a waste of their time because everything is working. So, I don't know whats going on. When I stayed during those times, it wasn't working. But they said it was. So I went back 2nd time around, and it wasn't on. I called Hong again and told him/sent him a picture that it wasn't on. He tried to tell me, its lit up but its so bright outside you can't see it (this is at 8pm!) I'm not blind, I can see if its lit or not. So he/his crew went back the 2nd time and told me its working again! WHEN ITS NOT! Fast forward few more weeks, the sign isn't working. The 3rd time they sent someone out, they (Jimmy) said it was the transformer. Okay, so fix it. But they didn't fix it. Fast forward a few more weeks, for the 4th time they came out, and now they said it was a "loose" wire and the transformer is working properly and that it was my landlords fault! Serious? Its their job to check everything before installation and also make sure its working after installation. They kept giving me different reasons why it wasn't working, but obviously they don't know what the hell they are doing. So they finally "fixed it" and they had the nerve to say "usually I charge, but I'll do it for free". Serious?? YOU BETTER DO IT FOR FREE! I didn't pay over $3300 for a sign that doesn't work. Oh wait, after that, it still wasn't working properly. After further investigation, they found out that there WAS ALREADY A TIMER INSTALLED. So the two timers were messing with each other (it was never a "loose wire" or bad transformer). But in the beginning, they told me I don't have one and that I need one. BS! They just wanted to make an extra $300 Then they (Hong and Jimmy) told me, "Oh your old timer is broken". How do you even prove that since your installation guys didn't even check in the 1st place to see if I even had a timer hooked up at all. If they are going to assume that, I would assume that the old timer was working. Then he said, I'll refund you, but I'm going to take out the timer (newer one that they installed) but your sign won't work. They are skipping a few steps here IMO. I asked them to check to see if our timer works in the first place, which they didn't, and assumed it's broken. EDWIN, who was sent out the 4th time to fix everything was nice and he tested the OLD TIMER AND IT WAS IN FACT WORKING!! But he had bypassed that because he said it was in an illegal location, but the point is... I HAD AN OLD TIMER.. and IN FACT IT WAS WORKING! So these guys can't even get their stories straight! These SHOULD HAVE BEEN the steps in their process, but wasn't. 1) Before installation, check ALL connectivity. 2) Check for timer since there was a previous old signage. 3) Install sign 4) Make sure sign works They skipped steps 1, 2 and 4. After all this, they had the nerve to tell me they don't want to do business with me again! (IT SHOULD BE THE OPPOSITE WAY AROUND, I don't want to do business with Special Signs again) So I guess that means that they won't come out for any repairs within a reasonable amount of time, I would at least expect 1 year warranty, but with these guys giving me the run around after 2 months after installation, I doubt they stand behind their work. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. THERE ARE MORE COMPETENT SHOPS OUT THERE. Might cost a few hundred more, but well worth it! You get what you pay for. I would have paid a few hundred extra to get everything done right the 1st time at a more competent shop and also wouldn't have wasted my time. read more

First time going to Special Signs and they totally won me over. Hung was incredibly diligent in helping me figure out the optimal printing solution for my wooden sign. Ultimately, he concluded that hand-painting it would provide the best result. Even as all sorts of digital printing are his specialty and he hasn't done a hand painted sign in ages (who has!?), he took it on and did a fabulous job, affordably and quickly. I will absolutely return with my other, less complicated, projects. read more

Needed a professional sign for my company office letterhead. Was recommended by a friend in Irvine. Talked to owners Ruby and Hung. Hung's family-run business that's been around for two generations. Very fast service and product was quality. They made sure to be available as I needed, and created flexibility to my schedule. Product is quality from what I can tell. Detailed linings to the words, and lighting is bright without dims. I would go back. From further talking to them, it seems the local municipality and businesses in Irvine also uses them. read more
