Cabbage, cauliflower, grilled butter and almonds

A truly great meal with a skilled and friendly staff. Of the eight dishes on the menu, we had six and one of the desserts and none disappointed. The food is amazing without being fussy, complex without being complicated and quite delicious. The ingredients are all very fresh, resulting in a menu that changes with the availability of the seasons. Of the dishes we ate, the pork, the weever and the carrots were the most delectable but that does not mean we didn't love the others. Although the kitchen clearly maintains amazingly high standards, the vibe is casual and informal. Reservations can be easily made in the internet.

Is a small restaurant/grocery crammed right next to Gastrologik which even has a star in the Guide Michelin! With modern design with details of copper it gives you a premium atmosphere! My friend suggested this so I didn't really know what to expect! We got there around 13.00 and we got lucky to find the last seats, they only room abot 16 people! The service is good and consistent and the lunch meny simple! Fo appertizers you get sourdough bread which never fails! I went for the Tarte Flembeé which is pretty much a pizza on thin dough with peas and bacon! For those feeling for something fresh and light this is perfect and it tasted excellent! We couldn't hold our hands from it when we read that they had Clafoutis with plums and classic vanilla icecream. It was amazing, the ice cream tasted homemade (probably was) and the cake was sweet and refreshing! May not be the place you swing by looking for a quick meal but a cosy restaurant to celebrate that it's friday!

Both the food and the service is top notch - all in all great dining experience from start to finish! Located next to its two Michelin star sister restaurant, you are guaranteed a great dining experience. They have a menu with three courses and optionally two glasses of wine, or you can choose your own.

If you've read the NYT article, roast chicken isn't always on the menu. But there's plenty more to tantalize your taste buds. Speceriet is a wonderful little modern restaurang. The waiters are delightfully polite and sweet. I ate a mushroom dish and the rooster thigh. Both were artistic and creative, but a touch over-salted. There was also an unnecessary heap of salt on the butter. For dessert I had a gooseberry sorbet, with lavage ice cream and spelt meringue, which was utterly divine. My bill came to just over 100 CAD, including a glass of wine. It was well worth it, but I do wish that salt had been less of a main ingredient.

The lamb roast. Charred lemon seem to be a thing is Sweden. And there are Jerusalem artichoke chips on the dish. Amazing.

The food here is absolutely stellar. The reason for only four stars is that the front of the house was a little disorganized when we visited. The waiters were really sweet and friendly, though. But the food--I was blown away. Hoping to return on this trip.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience and meal for anyone lucky enough to snag a reservation…read more Reservations open at 10 am on the first of the month for the following month and will go quickly, within a couple of minutes, so for a restaurant 15 years in, is still a hot spot to be. I planned my whole Stockholm trip around coming here, and was lucky enough to snag a solo reservation for dinner the last night of my trip in May 2025. Truly nothing comes close to the overall service & hospitality experience and quality of the food and drinks. I have dietary restrictions (no red meat), that they could accommodate with no problem and even provide a printed menu that represented my exact substitutions, which rarely happens for me. The night I came, Björn Frabtzén received a third Michelin star at Frantzén's sister restaurant in Dubai, becoming the only chef in the world to helm three 3-Michelin star restaurants simultaneously, and my experience here really shows why they are the best of the best. You enter from a lobby and are greeted by a host who will guide you through the experience. I had the opportunity to use the restroom and then got a peak into some of the meats I'd be enjoying for my meal in the entryway itself. You then go up an elevator to the Lounge, where you get your first look at the drink menu and your first bites. Frantzén was one of the first restaurants to really champion this experience of moving from room to room for different courses and it sets an ambiance almost of eating at someone's home. It's casual but decadent and the chefs walk you through all of the ingredients you're about to enjoy while casually chit chatting and enjoying the best canapés of your life. After the starters, you're taken through the prep kitchen and the wine cellar to the actual restaurant, which is a large open kitchen where you get to watch the chefs work while enjoying your meal. I was celebrating my birthday, and despite getting the NA pairing (which was excellent minus one drink towards the end) had so many additional generous free pours of incredible wines and champagne throughout the night. Well worth it, as their sommelier won best sommelier at the Scandinavia Michelin ceremony one month later in June 2025, and some of the glasses they gave me for free were easily $100 a piece. Come hungry, because you'll leave stuffed beyond belief for a 5-6 hour meal (and can always hang out longer if the restaurant hasn't closed up for the night.) This menu is legendary and best to go in without too many spoilers, but I had the best dish of my life - the tear drop peas chanwamushi - sweet, so tender, unreal. Another guest told me they wait all year for pea season to get this version of the dish. After dinner, you move back into the lounge where you're treated to after dinner drinks, teas, light sweets (that they will box up for you if you're too full) and the famous cardamom, brown butter, and Madeira madeleines. These mini-versions of madeleines come in a set of 9, are made fresh to order, and are refilled for however long you want to sit and enjoy the ambiance and chat at the end of the night. I felt like over the course of this part in particular, I made friends with other diners and the staff and had one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences of my life. Frantzén is one of the best in the world (and if Reddit is to be believed, the very best) for a reason.

I was celebrating my birthday there and there was no recognition of that except on the bill, which we found odd. Service otherwise was great. Lots of attention to detail. Everything we had was fabulous. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful as well in terms of recommendations, and we received attentive service throughout the night. We came with a reservation, but had a brief stay at the bar because they were running a little behind which was totally fine by us (recommend a res). Started off with a couple of stellar cocktails - the verano and rossellini - both were perfect temperature (cooled glasses), balanced very well and drank beautifully. The second set of cocktails we tried were not as good (foamo and the slushy rum and coke), but that's ok. For food, we ordered 3-4 dishes per person and couldn't finish (possibly due to some of the dishes being very heavy). highlights for me were the struva (insanely good), the hasselback potatoes (great texture on these), the salmon tartare (very fun and interesting/creative dish, although a touch fishy), and the sliced raw beef (again fun and creative, great flavors and loved the cheese). The fried perch was also a really nice entree. The fried pork was decent but pretty heavy, and we also ordered an asparagus macaroni which we couldn't finish it was heavy on the palate. Overall a very nice meal, would return to try other dishes. There were no reservations available but tons of walk-in space so don't let that deter you.

Felt a bit like a college frat party. Almost skipped it, based on that underwhelming evening, but had to give it another shot late upon an icy and still midnight clear in January. Just amazing...Perfect soundtrack. Sat at the bar to watch the crew, which builds drinks with a bit of panache & showmanship. Started with their Whisky for the Holy Ghost and it was in fact a religious experience: Ghost bourbon, amaretto, Maurin Quina, bitters, salt and served in a chilled corked flask topped with smoke that lingered and really added to the ceremony & taste. My fellow penitents had tasty espresso drinks. It was the second round, however, that was truly memorable. I asked the mad genius behind the bar to concoct an extemporaneous "riff on a Sazerac." Maybe lost in translation, and ended up with more a riff on a vieux carre, but what a riff it was! Michters Rye, calvados in lieu of cognac, a healthy dose of some kind of floral bitters, a few other bitters and a sazeracky absinthe spritz. Guy said he had no idea how it would be, but it was freaking perfection! Skål, indeed.

By no means a space for modernity nor a new age kitchen, the interior Art Nouveau from its painted ceilings and gilded molding to heavy wooden seats, guests entering Opera Bar will find most present during the week donning suits, discussion of business occurring in English and Swedish with a security detail even present on this particular day though nothing about the afternoon seemed unsafe or out of place. Able to see part of the Opera House by way of a trip to the restroom, an elegant feel not unlike most European theaters unsurprising, it was upon return to the table that Bread to be taken by hand from a basket was offered, the seemingly odd gesture from a place otherwise so refined nonetheless yielding soft and dense slices of Rye ready to be slathered with Butter plus delicate Crisps. Happy to have strolled through Kungsträdgården Park en route to make room after a busy morning of eating it was eschewing actual Appetizers that a plate of classic Swedish Meatballs started a three-course meal for two guests, ingredients supposedly the same as those next door yielding five small orbs not nearly as tender as those at Pelican nor Meatballs for the People, though the thin Cream Sauce was complex and rich both on its own or atop pureed Potatoes that contained nearly equal parts Starch and Butter. Taking in the scene while dining, an absence of the music ubiquitous in Restaurants today putting more focus on a "who's who" dynamic that clearly saw servers favoring certain tables, it was after a requested refill of Water that plates of Sausage and Quenelles de Brochet arrived, the former a classic Swedish dish with lots of texture that outperformed one past experience at Aquavit in New York while the souffléd Fish fell flat thanks to under-seasoning and Fennel which muted any Lobster flavor in the Sauce. Surveying a lengthy Dessert menu before making a decision, the sizable portions and richness already adding up, it was on the advice of others that Operabaren's Butter Cream and Meringue Cake was selected over items featuring Rhubarb or Chocolate with Walnuts, the results thankfully justifying an entire meal thanks to crisp yet nearly weightless Almond Meringue layered above and below Cream that tasted like sweetened butter but ate like Mascarpone Cheese.
