Almost anybody can set a toilet, but I've seen Nathan do so many detailed finishes and find creative solutions to our demanding design that I'm not sure he has limitations. I like that, unlike most of the contractors we met with, I could shop around for my own finishes without his mark up. When needed, Nathan would use his contractor discount for us to purchase at cost. Nathan is also super easy to work with. Like any project, adding items after the scope of work is agreed on can significantly increase the price. After all, they are already in your house, they (the typical general contractor) know you aren't going to want to shop for a better price and it's going to make sure it's worth their inconvenience if they have to squeeze you into their already tight schedule. We are so lucky to have Nathan working with us. He did so many extra random jobs that required his skill but without the inflated cost. At this point, there's nothing I wouldn't trust Nathan to do, and for a reasonable price, as long as he told me he could do it. I'd pick him again without question and recommend him to friends.

First impression was that he hit the basics of…read morereliability: he answered my initial call, scheduled a time, arrived on time, and sent a bid the same day. We have a 1925 house and asked Nathan to replace all of the carpet and linoleum on the main floor with 18 inch porcelain tile. This included a sunroom, living room, kitchen, hallway, and bathroom. His bid was $2000 less than the other bids and he accepts credit cards. These were both deal breakers that, otherwise, would have prevented us from doing the project ... AND it included new, painted baseboards which the other bids did now. Additionally, other bids asked that we move all our appliances out of the kitchen and the move the toilet. We only have one bathroom. Nathan kept both our kitchen and bathroom fully functional throughout the whole process. It was always fun to see where the fridge would be when we got home from work each day! Nathan ran into a few snags. He had to raise the front door (you can do that?!), level out the sun room with cement, and work with very "wavy" tile. These set backs meant that rather than the estimated 5 business days, the project stretched to 8. He didn't charge us anything additional! He was more concerned with giving us a perfect floor than getting the job done quickly. Overall, we were 100% satisfied with Nathan's work and will call him for all future home needs!! We completely gutted the den, evened the floors, put in radiant floor heating, sealed off the small door to the patio and put in sliding glass doors, and completely reconfigured the laundry/half bath/water heater space! And, very importantly, he did an absolutely gorgeous job. His company is smaller, which means less overhead and, in my experience, very client-focused and driven to excellence. From the beginning Sam was very communicative and throughout the process was available to talk through any questions/ideas/concerns I had. In the end, he stuck close to his initial estimates (the few additional costs had been flagged and discussed with and agreed upon by me before they were incurred), and completed the work well within the initial timeframe. Cuong is the best, seriously: very reasonable pricing, extremely hard-working, honest, dependable, fair - I didn't realize contractors like this exist. I almost made a huge mistake and passed on Cuong originally because it didn't seem like he could deliver on what he quoted (he was so much more reasonable than other contractors), and he is very unassuming: quiet, no pressure, fast and easy - - so I thought there must be something off. Man, am I glad that about a year later when we circled back on our ADU remodel, Cuong was still willing to work with us (even when other contractors we originally consulted with bailed, or didn't even have the courtesy to respond). Again, he was so nonchalant about his ability to do the work that I had my doubts, but he immediately proved us wrong - to say the least. Cuong got to work right away. In the space of just a couple months he transformed our ADU from a dated and ugly, unusable space, into an amazing little home, which we furnished and rent now. I was (and am) incredibly impressed by Cuong. He is not someone you need to press to do the right thing. He is independently motivated to do the job the right way, and to work efficiently. He would ask to work weekends just to stay on schedule; he would pick up materials for us; and he was flexible and available when we needed him. *Note that the only thing he doesn't really do is design. He will consult on small things, like where to put outlets, or how a door should open, but I would not expect him to design and build. Provided you have your design and vision though, the man can execute. It is a pleasure to write this review and to share our experience, and I think our results speak for themselves (which I've posted before and after photos of). I wish Cuong and NCC all the best; although I'm sure we'll be seeing them soon on some of our many projects :)

I contacted 3 of them and received quotes, including one that advertises extensively as being experts in outdoor spaces. I still had reservations and got two more quotes, including one from CREX construction. Anthony with CREX came out and met with me to discuss materials and discuss the project and asked enough questions so that the entire project would be well thought out. His follow up with the design work, dropping off extra samples, and communication was head and shoulders above the others so I went with CREX. What WASN'T head and shoulders above the rest was the price- CREX was right in line with the market and the other four quotes. I've owned a home for 30 years and have worked with dozens of contractors and various projects. Anthony wasn't just a face for the business to get signed bids up front and then disappear only to send in inexpensive and inexperienced workers.
