The chemical smell is so overpowering, I almost walked out. I should have, but I really needed a mani and pedi and had the time, was in the area, so I stayed. Immediately the greeter tried to uosell me on a gel pedicure. No, thanks, just a regular pedicure. She persisted telling me that regular polish takes time to dry. Yea, I know, I've been getting pedicures for 40 years! Then she brought a menu of other types of pedicures with add ons. Again, no thanks, just a pedicure. Picked a color, sat in the chair, a different tech came over. No greeting, have no idea her name. She completed the entire pedicure - soak, trim, file, scrub callouses, massage, painted toe nails - in 20-25 minutes. It was like we were on in a reality show contest seeing who could do a pedicure the fastest! One of the most enjoyable parts of a pedicure is sitting in a massage chair chilling while someone gives you a great lower leg and foot massage. Not here. Next, time for my gel manicure. A different woman, a much older lady, stared to drill the old polish off At frantic speed. Thankfully, I had them wrap my nails as soon as I sat in the pedicure seat because she went to town. Even hit my finger a few times. I told her I wanted them shorter, and without asking what shape, she clipped all my nails, some down to the skin! Then roughly filed, and left me with five nails all different lengths And shapes. I was in shock! Does she even have training? A license? The owner clearly saw that I wasn't happy and came over. She offered put tips on the three nails that were shorter than the skin. No! I don't want tips. She said that there was confusion because I told the woman that I wanted them short. Yes, but all the same length! I was miserable and at this point, nothing I could do because they were clipped. She offered to take over the manicure, and I accepted. She clipped, filed, and cleaned the cuticles the way it should have been done In the first place. She had to reshape the first hand and redo those cuticles. The shop was crowded and I noticed that the lady who started my manicure, didn't take in any new customers. Too soon to say if this gel manicure will last but regardless, I won't be coming back. I willl never make that mistake again. At my regular spot, a pedicure is at least 45 minutes, sometimes longer, and a gel polish 45-60 minutes. You leave feeling pampered and with gorgous nails. Here, it felt like a chop shop, get the job done as fast as possible, no focus on quality. read more

Just got an amazing pedicure by JR. I got the lavender pedicure with the paraffin wax and longer massage, for $45 and it is totally worth it! Their communication needs to improve. It's difficult to understand them and as a result services were chosen without understanding what was included and what was not included. No service menu was presented. I made an appt for a mani and chose the dip application. The owner admitted their English was poor, so is their quality. I got a dip mani, but a dip actually doesn't include anything related to a mani, not even lotion for your hands. My mani tech was impatient and frustrated when I accidentally moved my finger and too quick when attending to my cuticles. I left with a bleeding finger and a "sorry for the misunderstanding" from the owner. Not a place for pampering overly priced for what is provided. read more

Here's what made it a 1 star experience -15 minutes late to start my appointment. -Another customer with an appointment, also waited 15 minutes for their appointment. -While waiting, I notice the business has a sugar ant problem. -The space felt very unsanitary. One ant crawling on the soaking bowl throughout the whole manicure. -The towels used are looking dirty and cheap. -No hand hygiene throughout the whole manicure. Hands down the worst pedicure I have ever had. Was rushed in, and came with a friend. They started on her pedicure far before mine (we had appointments to avoid this) and since mine was so rushed I didn't get hot towels or anything and barely a massage. She made my toes bleed several times. They didn't show us how to use the massage chairs so the massagers were digging into my lower back the entire time. It was the fastest and most uncomfortable pedicure I have ever gotten. I will NEVER be returning here. The next day now my toe nails are sore. 4 stars for other times I've been, minus 2 for this recent one. I was impressed with this place to go back a few times, but after my last mani I won't be returning. I was on time for my scheduled appointment and told which chair to sit in. The female employee did not introduce herself (come to think of it, they never have in the handful of times I've been.) I told her I wanted the same French tip dip mani that was currently growing out on my nails, in the same shape - wide oval, which was done by a male employee 3 weeks ago and was just perfect! I wish I could have had him again because he did a beautiful job and it lasted very long! No such luck. This woman proceeded to rush through my manicure as though it was a race, leaving me with no less than 4 bleeding cuticles that she poured some kind of mystery solution on (thanks?) Days later they're still sore, and I'm still picking off product stuck on my skin. All are lumpy and bumpy and the white tips don't go to the edge. AND she filed them into a completely different shape- like a thin almond instead of a wide oval, even though I specifically said I wanted the exact same thing I came in with. No change. I had to try and reshape them myself at home, which will probably cause chipping. So I'm out $60 with sore fingers and left to wait 3 weeks and try again somewhere else. read more

Loved the staff here. Very friendly. However, the pedicure was just average. Nails were cut very odd and I left with just as many callouses as I came with. The gel/acrylic nails were done all different shapes and lengths and I finally gave up trying to get the shape right and just went with it. read more

I am just super impressed with my experience here! Incredibly frazzled, I popped by for a gel manicure. I think I had the manager do my nails? He was super patient and helpful, suggesting since my nails were so incredibly short that we go for a gel dip. I never had this type of treatment done but I was down to try it out! I opted for a baby blue semi sparkly dip, the whole process took maybe 15 minutes? I felt taken care of as my cuticles were cut, nails cleaned and sparkles added to my fingers. Atmosphere was lovely, super clean and welcoming. I especially loved the tunes in the background. I wished my nails were a bit longer but I guess that means I have to come back! I have tried a lot of the nail salons along 82nd and I can say with certainty that this place is above the rest. Price is fair, they can usually get you in as a walk in or over the phone they'll gladly take an appointment. Dip nails last well until the next appointment. I have not had one issue with breaks, chipping, separating. They allow you to make your own choices for your nails, they don't try to forcefully upsell you. If you have a design in mind, they give you the price before they continue. It's encouraged to have creativity and it's just a fun experience to show them an inspiration photo and then see the magic happen. I'm always just blown away with how meticulous the techs are in making sure you are happy with your nails. Many other places in the area will only forcefully suggest you do x y or z or not say anything then come to find out they charged you for taking polish off or other hidden fees. Good customer service. But I didn't like how my nails turned out because there were bumps, polish running on the side of my nails and on my skin. When I walked in and I showed them what I wanted and they said they can do it. Turns out that they couldn't do it because my nails are short. We ended up having different people coming to work on my nails. So we switch to another design but they when I told them that this polish will chip soon because it's on my skin, i was told to come back if it does. How do you allowed me to walk out of the salon with bumps on my nails and polish run on my skin. What upsets me is that I ended up tipping very generously and got crappy nail job. read more

I don't live in the area so it's a little trek for me, but in my opinion, it's worth it. Today, Jess gave me a wonderful mani/pedi. She took her time and listened to my requests. The place was clean, the people that worked there were chatty and made their clients feel welcomed as they greeted everyone. Took my mom there to get her nails+toes done for Mother's Day. I also brought my 2 month old baby. The staff wasn't weird or anything about my baby they were so inviting !! Everyone of them came and talked to me about the baby with big smiles on their face :) it's a very intimate place small but comfy and cozy. They gave my mom everything she asked for and even suggested some things they thought she might like but weren't pushy about it. The sweetest staff ever ! I came in for a gel manicure and left super disappointed. The man who was doing my nails must have been in a big hurry because he rushed me to pick a gel color and then rushed through every step of the manicure process. He quickly cut all my nails very short and filed them all square shaped without asking. I much prefer rounded but didn't have a say. There were little hairs dried into the gel in the end, which was a bummer because that means there is no getting rid of them. Then at check out he said that I have to pay extra for the nail file because I didn't bring my own. Wish that was explained up front. Ultimately, the gel popped off in less than a week, which is less than half the time that most gel has lasted for me at other nail salons. read more
