My friend and I have been going to Nail V. Angel for quite awhile. Our last visit was surprising bad. I just had to have one nail repaired and my friend had her nails filled. We had an appointment for both of us, yet they were taking care of people who just walked in with no appointment or who were after us. The repair tip was put on at an angle and it is wider than my other nails. The nail polish was not the right shade, and the nail tech ignored me and was rude to both my friend and me. I did not like that I had to be passed around by more than one tech and I had to wait for so long for a repair when I had an appointment. Needless to say, we will not be going back. read more

This is my new favorite nail salon in Clackamas/Happy Valley area. I've gone to some crappy nail salons in this town so I know what I don't want. But this place is wonderful. The husband and wife that own the salon are so kind and always go above and beyond. They're are always yummy snacks here too ha. Asian crackers yesss! I am happy and not disappointed every time I come here. Also they wax my eyebrows for 8 bucks where my other place is 20! I used to come here weekly and I loved it. If I had left a review 3 months ago it would've been 5 Stars. The last two times I've gone have been mediocre. They are soooo busy and it's gotten to the point where they clearly rush through appointments. I used to feel special and like I mattered but now I just feel like they wanna get me out ASAP. Because of this, last time my nail shape was uneven. The polish was on my fingers and they didn't even take the time to clean it off. Also, I called on a Saturday right when they opened and I was told they were absolutely slammed so I couldn't come til 6 pm... I came in the next day and the owner was telling me that the day before they were totally dead... hmm... ok then. I'm bummed. I loved this place. The pricing especially is amazing. I would never go back to this place. I honestly have been going to my same nail shop for over 10yrs, I recently moved out here to the area so I decided to try a new place "Nail V Angel" to be exact. And let me tell you.... bedsides being the most expensive place I have ever gone to, their quality of work was the most poor I've experienced. I was highly disappointed!!!! I've had my natural nails for several years now and have just been getting powder and gel on them, my nails were long already and thanks to making the mistake of going to this place now they look disgusting and have all broken! The powder and gel started cracking and parts were stuck to my nails, so that instantly broke my nails and made them bleed. I'm so sad! The building is pretty run down and it doesn't feel the cleanest inside but the people that work there all do a great job and are very nice. The gal who did my toes seemed kind of distracted, especially during the massage, which was kind of pokey. The best...best ..best. I called yesterday got in first thing this morning, I asked for short and straight and that is exactly what I got. He took an hour I just got the $30 dollar plus you buy a kit for a buck, but I tipped him 10 bucks cash (then they don't have to claim it) when I charge it. Got a shelac manicure. The lady cut my nail so bad, sprayed alcohol on it, put so much pressure it hurt.. the bleeding didn't stop, so she put nail glue on it. Overall really rough on my hands, had to pull away several times. read more

The service itself was odd, on the phone I said I wanted tips and gel on top. When I arrived I was told no, we have to do dip powder. Okay, that's fine but NO acrylic because my nails are so thin and acrylic is rough. I get moved to the second person who I now know is the owner, and she starts putting on the powder which is actually acrylic then tells me it's too late to take it off (I was talking to my friend who sat next to me and didn't realize she had started doing them). I paid well over the original quote. By almost double. My nails hurt the entire evening and into the next day (today). I called asking for a partial refund or a fix as I had acrylic in my cuticles on nearly every finger and they still hurt. The owner told me I had to come back tomorrow, I explained I live 2 hours away (in Eugene) and I would just like a partial refund since I'll have to get them fixed elsewhere. She became belligerent and rude, calling me a liar, I offered to send photos and she said no they would mever serve me again, I must have an allergy to acrylic (no I don't, I've had them done many times before) and she didn't care how far I lived I was lying about the quality. It is less than 24 hours and this is the cracking I have an acrylic in my cuticle. This was a highly reccomended salon by family and friends, and I've been before for just gels with no issue. Save your $ if you're doing anything other than polish and go elsewhere. read more

I honestly thought they had mistaken my spa pedi for the deluxe, or added on the 20 minute foot massage for $20 -- NOPE, it's just how awesome they are. They seriously spend a lot of time giving you a calf/foot massage, using a lot of different creams and ending with a hot towel wrap. My basic pedi probably lasted an hour. All of this for $25! I went in on Saturday with my mom and we both got the deluxe pedicures for the "extended massage", yet were left wondering what their definition of 'extended' is as both our massages were lacking. The guy who did my pedicure should not be doing anything involving a nail file (or grater). I had shellac on my toes and he started using a regular nail file up and down on my toes before I asked him to stop as he was basically filing the skin on my toes and not the actual shellac. He apologized which I accepted and figured he'd be more gentle; I was wrong as he then used the grater in my heels and treated them like they were a block of Parmesan cheese, and left one of my feet completely chaffed. Awful. I urge management to retrain this individual as customers should not be leaving your salon in pain. I won't be going back though. read more

EXCELLENT MASSAGES!!!! I came in to get a manicure and pedicure and i got more than i expected! The staff was very sweet and the owner, Angie who is also a nail technician there was very informative on how I can care for my feet a lot better. I did not realize it, but because i go swimming quite often, my toes were prone to fungus growth and Angie told me what i can do to make sure that there isn't any growth. I really appreciate that my nail technician knew her business and I like that I can ask her anything and she seem to know the answer. They massage your hands and toes for a long time and their equipment (chairs and etc) is up-to-date so i got the option of getting my back massage while my toes and hands were being taken care of. Not only does this place does manicure and pedicure, they also do waxing and I REALLY like that because i needed to get it done asap. I love that I did not have to go to two different places and that they provided waxing service. I was unaware at the time i was coming in that they had this service until i mentioned to Angie that i was due to get one done. She immediately brought me in to a private beautiful room with some ambiance music playing. It had me relax in no time and i felt really comfortable and safe knowing that i was in good hands. I have pretty high standards when it comes to beauty and nails. I almost always leave a nail salon not completely satisfied with the results. This time though, I left feeling 100% satisfied with the results! Tina did an amazing job on my full set acrylic nails with shellac on top. She paid very close attention to details and took her time. In the past, I've had a couple bad experiences with coffin/ballerina shaped nails but Tina was able to shape my nails exactly the way I wanted them to look! I recently moved to Vancouver Washington and have been searching for a new nail salon. I came across this place over in Clackamas OR because every nail salon was closed in Vancouver WA. By the time we were in phase 2, every salon here was either still closed or way booked out. A girl needed to get her nails done. So I researched and came across this place. I do commute an additional 20 minutes from my house but it's so worth it because they always get me in. The place is EXTREMELY clean and especially with COVID, the cleanliness standards are even higher. Maximum 10 people altogether allowed inside right now. Masks are required. Prices are reasonable and they remember you. I love that. They have an ATM inside with no ATM fee. I thought that was cool. I forgot to take a picture of my most recent pedicure, but I got the ultimate spa deluxe pedi which is a bit more spendy. It includes a massage, paraffin wax, foot scrub and nail color and filing. Then my manicure was about $45 for a fill (new color change and style included) Altogether about $100 for both. Highly recommend Nail v Angel! read more
