She goes in with tweezers if she can't get certain spots with the the thread and is very detail-oriented / perfectionist which is some you want when doing your brows. This place messed my sister's eyebrows up!! She called my phone to show me the aftermath and her brows were crooked and had a bunch of hairs that were missed! She said the girl doing her brows was getting her eyelashes caught in the threat as well and she could feel her lashes being pulled. The person that did them was named Kenai and admitted to fucking her shit up and said she wouldn't charge her.Wth? And before this my sister had also went in for an eyelash lift and it did NOT work and the person doing the lift blamed my sisters lashes and still charged her for a service that didn't even work! This place is scammy and they don't do their service correctly. We tried giving them the benefit of doubt and came back to try out different girls and they all suck. My sister will NOT BE RETURNING! I've never had my eyebrows done by anyone but myself. I looked up "brow threading" because I like the accuracy of it and this is the first place that pops up. I booked with Juliana; she was very nice and professional and talked me through the process and at the end made sure I was satisfied. I've been going to brow beauty & beyond for the past 4 years now, I really like this place and would give it a 5 star review but only Miriam and I believe the owner/manager has done my brows a few times before and Julian they are the only ones that do a wonderful job. I am always pleased when Miriam does my eyebrows she does them precise and with the arch, she cleans up my eyebrows well making sure they're not to thin. Every other girl they've hired that I've tried have not been so great, they don't pay attention to detail, and always take off a little to much making them thin, or do them to fast and miss a bunch of hairs underneath when I'm paying so much to have them done right, a few times I've tried the new girls they've had and it was very painful. What I do love is that it's super close to me, I love that they have a location outside of the mall so that I can just go in get my brows done, it's always super clean inside, and everyone there is always usually friendly. Its nice that you can schedule online and see everyone's schedule rather then having to call all the time. Prices have gone up, but my brows grow slow so it's not like I go monthly, I also do believe they have a membership deals. Miriam was my brow stylist today and I'm really happy with the threading service she provided. I've not gotten my brows professionally done in 5 months so she had a lot to do lol. She's polite, efficient, fast and did what I asked her to. All very important to me. She shaped my brows , removed the extra hair around and also threaded my upper lip. I've been threading for over a decade but for some reason still have very little low threshold for pain. But as we say in French "Il faut souffrir pour être belle" -- one must suffer for beauty. Anyway it hurts, but she got all the hair out from my upper lip and my eyebrows. The studio is clean, spacious and brightly lit. I'll be back. I moved from NY where I paid $7 for eyebrow threading and I was always happy with the results. Here you pay $18 and the result is horrible. I have over 20 years getting my eyebrow threaded and it's always based on the shape of your face not everyone should have the same shape. Well in this place your eyebrow will look like the person before and after you. I was so upset how my eyebrows came out, after waiting for so long to get them done , bcz of COVID-19 ; she messed up my eyebrows. I was really quite pleased with my experience here. I walked in and was immediately served. No wait time. I have had many waxes but this was my first time having my eyebrows threaded. It feels kind of like being scratched with something sharp REPEATEDLY but the end result (10 mins later) was worth it. My brows are seriously looking fantastic. I am most pleased with the total absence of fine hairs around my brows. It really does seem like threading results in a cleaner result than waxing. I intend to keep threading instead of waxing (which surprises me). They also have a punch card that gives you your 7th service free. However, you have to get six punches in 9 months which is much more frequently than I waxed so we will see. An eyebrow service is only $16 which is more reasonable (by a couple dollars) than my wax upkeep. (Not including a tip because, come on now, tip your beauty providers, people!) read more

My experience was not great. She did decent work, but I wasn't seen until 45 minutes after my appointment that I'd made days ago, waiting for two other women who checked in as being walk-ins. I don't even think she looked at the check-in sheet to see if I had an appointment, which I'd written down. She barely said more than a couple of sentences at all the whole time I was there (almost an hour). When I was finally seated another woman walked in and said she also had an appointment, that was supposed to start 5 minutes ago. The girl working almost got me out of the chair to service this other woman first. I was so frustrated by this point I wanted to walk out, but luckily the other woman was gracious enough to say it was okay, I was already in the chair. I heard a couple of people say "hope you feel better" after she was done so I sympathize she wasn't feeling well or something was wrong, and she was the only one working. I've been a loyal customer to my brow expert in North Portland, but I live a minute away from the Clackamas Promenade and my brows looked horrendous (think 1 month grow out at least) and I didn't have time to try to catch my usual brow lady. I looked around Yelp and saw that Brow Beauty and Beyond had great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I went on a Saturday mid morning which was super packed. I wasn't sure what the procedure for checking in was, so I just took a seat. There were 2 girls working so I didn't have to wait long (~15 min). The girl who did my brows made them so much better - she had to shape a lot, so she was more conservative on the thickness, which I was glad for (didn't want pencil thin brows). I went back 2 weeks later on a Tuesday at 10am (first customer!) and I believe the owner did my brows. I was much happier with how she did my brows - they're perfect. I started my punchcard, which will come in handy. They also have a deal where you pay a flat fee (I believe $60?) and are able to come 2 times a month for 3 months (or 6 total visits). It would be great if they had more seating, especially when it's busy and people are waiting. Also, the procedure for checking in can be clearer (you have to sign in on the clipboard on the counter). read more

Love this place. Mariam has been Threading and tinting my eyebrows for at least two years. She's absolutely wonderful. Very talented. Personable and knowledgeable. I cannot speak for the other ladies. While I've heard great things about others, I only see Mariam. I have very fair skin and a scar in my eyebrow. The scar makes my hair grow a bit funny.
