This should actually be 3 1/2 stars I don't know. It's so hard for me because when I go have my nails done and like get quiet, I don't like hearing all the workers talking in different language among themselves as I am trying to relax. I went in I work close by, and needed my eyebrows done I told her just to clean then up she ignored me My eyebrows do not look even she pulled my skin off I am in pain when anything rubs on them or the air hits it. I went in she said Its okay it will get better, add vaseline didn't apologize or offer me a refund. this has caused me terrible stress as I have a special photo shoot this weekend. very disappointed read more

I along with 4 of my family members have been clients of Z Nails for approximately 6 years now. The majority of that time with the exception of 3 previous particular visits my family and I have experienced the employees of Z Nails providing professional, pleasant, and all in all, good service. That said, over the last year things have changed. A year ago, the owner decided she would become argumentive with me ( And I mean she wanted to actually have a confrontation!!) because I had forgotten that their CC payment system was somehow not recognizing a specific debit card that I carry and had infact attempted to use on a previous pedi with no success forgetting about the time before when I had had the same issue. (My bad!!) It wasn't an issue for me because I simply would go on to use a different card for the charge. But for some crazy, crazy, reason, she chose to belittle me in front of coworkers and customers. (Made me super angry) I had decided that I would let her skate by on that one, but would be the only time. Well, (3 strikes, and your out!!) I am a person that believes in tipping generously if I have received good service, on the average I usaully tip 50% - I will most of the time make exceptions and continue to tip this amount even if there were a couple of times when the service being provided didn't go so well. One of the reasons I tip well, has to do with the calf/foot massage that they provide during a pedi. I have had multiple lower back surgeries due to multiple ruptured disc causing severe nerve damage. I am not able to trim my own nails nor give myself a leg/foot massage. Having pedicures have been quite therapeutic for me. Most of the time I am able to discern if someone is just having a tough day or if the person is being completely disrespectful and rude. So, tonight... Nov, 3rd 2024 now for the 3rd time, I have had another very bad experience. This time, I believe it was the owner's sister? From the very moment I walked in she didn't want nothing to do with pedicures!!! It was obvious she was having a really bad day. I guess it's true, the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree. So, as I mentioned, at the very start it was obvious that she didn't want to do even ONE MORE pedicure! She also decided that she would minimize any conversation that she and I would have. This was actually the very first time this person had ever given me a pedi. The entire service was complete on her end!! I couldn't wait to leave!! Every word word she spoke felt forced by her!! I was like ... WOW!! Couldn't of been more uncomfortable. The final straw was once again having to do with the payment station. I inserted my card and was in the process of adding a tip when for whatever reason it processed the payment before I was even given the option to include a gratuity!! I explained to her that I still needed to give her a tip. I was getting ready to pay cash on the gratuity when she gave me this nasty look and started walking a way! I asked her to wait a moment so that I could get her a tip. She eye rolled me and walked away, while I was still talking to her!!! And just to clarify, if all of this wasn't bad enough there was never one time that I nor my family ever had an attitude with any of the employees. We had always treated everyone with respect and kindess which is why it's difficult for us to understand their bad behavior. My sister's and I have never gone to the nail salon together. They never knew I had other family members that were also customers. They now know they have lost 5 customers over night. I highly suggest anyone looking for a great nail shop DO NOT CHOOSE Z NAILS ON SUNNYSIDE!!! There are many much nicer nail salons in the Hapoy Valley area. Salons with much better full body massage chairs and even a beverage service, for less cost. I would give Z Nails a zero star rating if I could. 6 + years of business my family and I have provided them, all to be treated so badly and disrespectfully!!! Sad! read more

I usually don't do reviews but I'm sorry... This place is just not it. when I got there, I immediately could tell that it was not the cleanest it could be. when I sat down, I was feeling so rushed. She started to apply the nails and when she was doing my nails she received a FaceTime call and proceeded to answer... kinda unprofessional. also, when she finished applying the powder and started doing the French tip it was so messy. She was just rushing the whole time she was doing them and at this point I was just ready to leave. She didn't even ask me if I wanted to purchase a new filing kit. It looks like she grabbed a used one. When I got in the car and took a closer look at my nails I could easily see how uneven the French tip is and how streaky it is. There's white nail polish on the bottoms of the nails and they aren't even filed evenly. The lady who did my pedicure was decent though no complains there. This place was seriously rushed, and very short staffed. I had old acrylic on my nails and the nail tech just put more acrylic right over it. you can still see the acrylic. as far as doing the acrylic she was in such a rush she didn't even cover the full tip on some sides. my nails also have a lot of bubbles in the acrylic. i asked for white french tips and she didn't even ask if it was okay to use the white tips or clear ones. now when i go some where i'm going to have to get white again or get them fully removed. read more

I had a few minutes today and I was already in Clackamas, so I went in for a much needed eyebrow wax. I had been here before but I was never that impressed. Today, I walked in and they had a few customers getting their nails done so I had to wait. I asked how long the wait might be and the lady never told me a straight answer and I only had a few minutes to spare. I waited and I was nice about it because I own my own business in customer service, so I understand it. But they didn't give me much to go on as far as feeling like I was important to them. And by the time I get home, I realize that the lady who did my wax peeled my skin. I wondered to myself why it hurt so much, but I shrugged it off cause it had been awhile since I got a wax. My mom and I both went in for mani/pedis. I previously went in for a pedicure with my friend here, it was fine. When I went back with my mom it started fine. Pedicures were first, but then they separated us for our nails even though we made the appointment together. Another two girls came in for an appointment and they were separated as well. I don't mean 6 feet apart either. I was put between the two girls that came in, and my mom was put all the way at the end even though it was only the 4 of us there. I decided to get acrylics as this was the first time I've had my finger nails done in years (couldn't have them done because of my job). The acrylics were AWFUL. I should have said something. The lady did not file them until they were colored so they had chunks of color missing on the edges. A few had round spots popping up and within a week and a half they were bubbling. Exactly two weeks after two nails came off. My mom did a gel manicure, hers looked good after. They only did two coats of color though. Hers were chipping and peeling before a week after. We were charged over $150 for two mani/pedis. We have never been charged that much else where. They didn't break down the cost either... maybe this is a normal price for the area, but were a bit surprised. read more

Probably the quickest $40 shellac pedi I've ever had. Only used oil for my massage, if you could call it a massage. Wasn't enjoyable, as the oil soaked in and felt she was rubbing skin without any lubricant. They were done in 20 minutes and it shows. Chop shop nail place for sure. The first lady that did my nails did them horribly.. All crooked and uneven. The nail polish wasnt even applied good (the chipping in the photos is from my own moving). I went back for a refund because they were so bad. She made my cuticles bleed and didn't measure the nails before applying them.. She straight up glued a nail on my thumb that was millimeters too big on both sides. Wish I had better before pics to post.. When I came back the manager was nice and did her best to fix them. My friends went a week ago and their nails were beautiful so I thought I'd give it a go but.. Probably won't be coming back. read more

So I stopped here on a whim with one of my girlfriends and I really wanted to like this place because it's close to my house. The owner was very friendly and the girls working were also nice but that cannot make up for how my toes look. I got their most expensive pedicure which was only $33. It was supposed to come with a callus treatment but she never put any on. She actually use one of those razors which I know is illegal to use now. When she first started right away she cut way too deep into my ingrown and now my toes are misshapen. I've always had square toes and she made them very round. The clear coat was sloppily applied and I could see it seeping onto my cuticle This is just my opinion, but I do believe they reuse the toe separators and the heel pumice stone on everyone. I had asked to take my pumice stone so I could upkeep my heels in the shower and she said that because they're heavy duty they are not disposable. But I don't know any pumice stone that you should be sharing. I cannot say that I will be returning here due to the unsanitary practices. read more

I've gone to 4 other salons in the area and this is the first time I've felt like I can go back. $30 for acrylic nails and the shape is perfect, not too thick and bubbly, and all the way back to my cuticle instead of leaving a huge gap like most places!
