We arrived around 1:30 p.m. yesterday, unknowingly to us they close at 2 p.m. We never once felt pushed to leave. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable with their daily specials. We decided to try Spaghetti Western for a family birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! We had meatballs and bresaola for starters--both were delicious, but the bresaola's salty meat dressed with peppery arugula, fresh basil, tomatoes, parm and olive oil (maybe some lemon juice?) is something that I keep thinking about. The entree portions are generous. I had two meals just from what I took home of my gnocchi. Other meals were the carbonara and the beef stew and saffron risotto special--all earned high marks. The highest marks of all go to our server, Lauren. She was knowledgeable when we had questions, but wasn't pushing certain dishes. She also has a great sense of cadence for checking in, like she can really read a table's vibe. But most of all, she was just a lovely, joyful person who helped make this birthday dinner a special occasion. There was even a candle and cannoli brought to the table! In addition, I'm not sure if it was managers or owners, but we had a few lovely touch points from the entire front of house team. I'd love to see what Spaghetti Western creates for the spring/summer menu. I'd like to see some seafood options. Have options to add seafood to an entree or starter. Create the option to drop 3 scallops on the bresaola and I'll be there twice a week for that alone, hah. You could also have options to add chicken, shrimp, or meatballs as well. Swap out some of the penne options for more unique noodle shapes. I think your house-made pastas are going to be a major draw that you could even sell via retail--the chitarra and gnocchi themselves were that good. I'm looking forward to how Spaghetti Western will continue to innovate and provide next-level dishes. read more

This place may be new, but I certainly see this restaurant being a true staple to downtown Fargo! The most authentic Italian food you can find, without the plane ticket to Italy! Ok folks, the place has been busy of late because it's new, and people want to try it out & I'm sure the they are trying hard to make a go of it there. Now just my first time there & my observation. As far as the food, ahh not that good to me. I had the Carbonara & it was way over salted. It may have tasted ok, but the salt just killed. As far as the meatballs, very delicate to the mouth feel, but lacked flavor. The Charcuterie presentation was weak, & really not worth the price. The place is very small so don't plan on any privacy. Not conducive to a romantic date at all. The service was fine, I just think they need to revisit the how the salt is added & work on the Charcuterie board with a better cheese selection. read more

Um, yeah this place is fricken AMAZING!! My Husband and I hate getting take out nowadays due to it always being gross, cold or the service sucking. He's disabled so its hard to to go and sit down and stay in one spot for him, so we have to order and then I go get and bring home, food delivery is a joke in this town! But THIS PLACE is an exception to all the places we dont go to anymore, due to service being HORRIBLE and food being cold, gross or over/under cooked. We've wasted too much time and money, so we've pretty much stopped getting take out. Today is our 8 yr anniversary and we saw a lot of fantastic reviews for this place, so we figured we'd try it. Well from the moment I emailed them til I scrapped my plate clean it was a better experience than Ive had in like... ever maybe?! I got the Arrabbiata, the spice is just enough, not too much and perfectly cooked! He got the Broccoli and Sausage, I hate sausage but this was something I'd get myself! It was so good! The broccoli in the sauce for the dish was the best part for me, tho he went gaga for the sausage, and again noodles were seriously perfect! The Tiramisu was better than most Ive had, and it was a large portion! The Focaccia bread was great but the stuff they served with it wasnt something either of us liked, but that was the only thing in the whole experience that wasnt amazing. They were so nice and friendly when I went to pick up, even the other customers were sweet and talkative and the little waiting area was cute! Just everything was YES YES YES and I wish I could afford to go every day lol I cannot say enough good stuff about this place I just found out existed yesterday! I cant wait to go again!! read more
