A group of six of us visited. Everybody but my wife and I had sandwiches & wraps. They looked good and our friends seemed pleased. My wife and I each had 8 inch pizzas and I can tell you we were super-pleased. The pizzas tasted great, were the right amount of crispy and were an excellent value between $8-$9. We both ended up taking leftovers home to eat as lunch the next day. I specifically had the Brewtus Brisket (BBQ brisket) and it was outstanding. They had a good craft beer selection as well. There was also a Monday night special on pitchers of margaritas which in hindsight, I wished I would HDR tried for the price. We were already talking about coming back to try more pizzas as we walked to our car. While you can tell you're in a strip mall restaurant, the place did have character with the brick interior, nice booths and what looked like handcrafted tables. Our first time at Brickhouse and we had mixed results. However, we chalked this up to coming at 2:30 on a Thursday, We will return to give them another chance for sure. Came here on a Friday night and seated ourselves at a high top. Waitress was fast and friendly and offered her own opinions when we had questions on what to order. I ended up getting the Brickhouse brewtus burger, a typical bacon cheeseburger at first glance, although they add in a couple mozzarella cheese sticks as well (interesting). It tasted pretty good, a little hard to eat given all the condiments, but that's to be expected with this monstrosity. Dad had a made to order pineapple/Canadian bacon pizza and said it was good but nothing to write home about. Maybe this place is 3.5 stars, but the service and ambiance push it to a 4. Plenty of TVs around the place and the music was at just the right volume to enjoy but still hold a conversation. Patio also looked nice but was too cold to sit outside. Been here twice now and both times were great! I haven't been able to try anything besides the appetizers (hopefully will try to on my next visit). I have gotten the spinach dip twice now and it is so delicious and the bread that comes with it is awesome! My last visit I ordered the mozzarella sticks. The sticks were fine, wasn't a huge fan of the breading on them (the flavor just wasn't for me). I wouldn't order the sticks again, however, I've heard that the fried pickle spears are fantastic! read more

We were in town for kids hockey, decided to eat here for the first time. Definitely not impressed with the customer service. The server had a lousy attitude and care for her customers and she wasn't friendly nor welcoming and professional. She didn't attend to us well either we were waiting on her. The burger for our daughter came out with nasty long hair in the cheese. When we mentioned it to another employee she had this look like oh really going to complain? Then said well what do you want a new one or new item? It was like it was our fault it had a hair no sincere apology at all. Pizza definitely isn't NY style if you've ever had that before. Husband and I went here for lunch two days ago. We decided to try it before we move to the Cities next week and it is a fairly new restaurant that recently opened up by our house. The interior is very nice and new-looking (as expected). It had a welcoming vibe to it. It was seat yourself when we went (I do not know if they have hosts for dinner). We decided to sit at the bar which was located in the center of the whole restaurant and it was a fairly large wraparound bar. They have TVs in the restaurant as well. Both bartenders were very nice and helpful. Service was prompt and food runner (manager?) was friendly. The food had ups and downs. Mozzarella sticks were good (the breading was the best part IMO) but my husband thought that they could have had some more time to make the cheese extra gooey. Husband had buffalo ranch boneless wings (which had a 3 star spice level - I don't know how high Brickhouse's spice level goes). He thought that the wings could have been spicier (they were a bit on the mild side). I had the pulled pork sandwich with hickory bbq sauce and beer-battered fries. Fries were crunchy and came out hot. I thought that they tasted like normal fries (I've had better but these were good). BBQ sauce was good and the roll/bread that the pork was served on looked and tasted so fresh. I thought that the bun was glorious but the meat was a disappointment. The pork was kind of soggy, gristly, and fatty. I make better pulled pork at home but then again I was born and raised in Deep South (GA) so I can't expect a restaurant in Moorhead, MN to match the BBQ I grew up with. With that being said, the sandwich has potential if the meat is prepared/trimmed better. All in all, this is a pretty decent restaurant that deserves a second chance sometime in the future (perhaps I'll try their pizza next). We'll definitely be visiting again after our move if we are ever up in the Fargo-Moorhead area again. read more

This review is specifically for the Moorhead location. Food is very good. The nachos are the best in the FM area and a great price. However, the tap line is crap. This place would be packed every night if the tap line had variety and was unique. If you want to known as only an "ok" restaurant, continue to have a tap line with Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors light, Mich Golden Ultra, Busch light, two cider beers and other lameness. read more

I order the same Cobb Salad with steak everytime. It's really good....except when they ask me how I want my steak, I always say medium rare...always. Sadly, everytime I get cold, well done, tough chewy steak. Yesterday, my mom and two sisters ordered the same thing with all ordering their steak medium rare when asked. Guess what (and I didn't say a word) they all complained about the steak not rare, but being well done, chewy, tasting just like just out of the refrigerator cold. So it's not just me. It was date night for the first time in months and we decided to try something we hadn't had yet. We ended up at the Brickhouse Taverns. Really crowded and took a minute to squeeze into some spots at the rail. Service was speedy and friendly! Our bartender was able to answer all of our questions and had great recommendations. I was excited by the food portions and beer selections. They had a lot of local beers on tap, which was a nice surprise. My husband ended up having the Brewtus Brisket pizza and I had the Brewtus burger (It had mozzarella sticks and brewtus sauce on it. I'm pretty sure the brewtus sauce is just A-1). Both were delicious and much more than we could eat in one sitting. Also the bartender recommended their waffle sweet potato fries, and I'm glad she did :) My husband also got a side of beer battered french fries that were crispy and hot. The interior was very neat and they actually re purposed some local materials when they built it. They give you all the facts on the back of their very cool wood menus! We would definitely recommend to others and are excited to see they are building a second location much closer to our house in Fargo. Look forward to visiting that one often. read more

Such lovely, smoky grill flavor and avocado instead of mayo makes it tasty and different as well as healthier than your traditional chicken sandwich! Probably the best/most authentic NY style pizza in have had since moving to the Midwest. The small size was way more than I could eat alone.

My first time going here and we sat ourselves and were greeted and taken care of right away. We came here for the pizza and I'd suggest others should as well because the pizza was great and very filling! And surprisingly the prices are very fair considering this restaurant is fairly new. All in all it was a very relaxed atmosphere, a lot of tvs to watch and it wasn't very loud and it was noon on a Saturday. If you like to try new things and experience differs types of pizza, the Brickhouse should be on your list next. read more

Went on August 9th. Waitress was rude. Manager was not friendly at all. Said the waitress had a couple groups of 20. I am guessing that gives her the right to be rude to a group of 2. Brickhouse: My family and I love the atmosphere and food. And for that I would give a five star rating. However last nights experience left me feeling a little less than five star. This is not a complaint per say, but maybe food for thought regarding customer service. My son and I stopped in after a movie for a quick beer and possible something to eat if the kitchen was still open. It was late... 11:30 pm but the sign on the door stated that they were open until 12:00 PM. We were approached by the bartender and were told that they closed at 12:00... "Okay, it's 11:30, we can have a beer and be out by 12:00, no problem." His answer was "We already gave last call." He walked away, and my son and I left. We went up to Red Hen Tap House where they were open until 2:00, they had nine tables of active customers eating and drinking. So my seemingly silly little point is: Granted you can close whenever you want. Customer service comes in to play when the sign on the door states that your are open until 12:00 I should be able to walk in at 11:59 and be served, providing that no laws are being broken. Take a lesson from the Red Hen Tap House... Take care of your customers and maybe you'll have nine tables at 11:45pm on a weeknight also. read more

This place is fantastic. I would however recommend pizza, nachos, or the spinach artichoke dip. We've tried a few other things but those are my stand outs of the times we have been here. I've only got the taco pizza, but I've been spending the better part of 20 years trying to find a good taco pizza that matches up to the best one I've ever had, and this one is definitely up there in my top two. The nachos are fantastic. They put cheese sauce and shredded cheese on them and the jalapenos are a must. I think they are sweet pickled and present a very unique flavor!! Every visit we have had great service and the bar itself has just all around good vibes. I do prefer to sit at the bar when I come here because.... look at those bar stools!!! The prosciutto was cut so thick you couldn't swallow it without gagging. The dressing? Don't even get me started.
