Pleasantly surprised to come across this place during our weekend trip to Fargo! We made reservations in advance for a Friday night, and they were definitely needed, it was easily one of the busiest places around that evening. It's small inside, but not matchbox small, with western movie posters tastefully decorating the walls and giving the space a fun, cozy atmosphere. Service was super friendly, and even with how busy they were, we never felt rushed. We decided to order two of the specials that night: a truffle spaghetti and a fish dish. Both were incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. We finished things off with a pistachio cannoli, which was also delicious. Good pasta! Really enjoyed. I had the mushroom pasta and my partner has the salmon-both excellent. The wine was lovely--I wish they served cocktails but by no means is that a dealbreaker. The charcuterie plate and bread made for a great start. Nothing on the dessert menu sounded particularly enticing to me, but I recall there being tiramisu for anyone interested. I was impressed by the service--waitstaff clearly knew the menu and were very warm and welcoming on our first visit. The dining area is quite small, as was what I could see of the kitchen--but it's my understanding that the restaurant is moving into a bigger space this fall. This place lives up to the reviews! I ordered online from their website to go and they packaged everything up very nicely. Every single staff member was all smiles and very friendly! I ordered their homemade pasta with grandma's meat sauce. It was flavorful and perfect portion size for dinner and a small lunch tomorrow! They also included their bread with olive tapenade which was amazing! **June 2025: Friday Afternoon Visit** My friend and I were driving through Fargo and needed a spot to refuel. I found Spaghetti Western and saw many positive reviews regarding this little Italian spot. We hadn't had Italian so far on this trip so we decided to check it out. We made it at 1pm-ish which was a relief since their weekday lunch hours are from 11:30am-2pm. We were lucky enough to find parking right in front of the restaurant and get seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was super personable and made us feel like we were dining with a friend. We asked her for some must dos in the area, and she was so excited and thoughtful to share. She really took good care of us and it made our dining experience that much better. What we orderedL Caesar Salad ($13) - It had a nice nice anchovy bite to it and the lettuce was very crisp. Gnocchi $20, Cheese $2 - The texture of the gnocchi had a nice chew and the cheese gave it that rich smooth velvety taste to it. Lemon Ricotta $19 - The flavor was very light and subtle The food was outstanding. The pasta all had that al dente taste to it and you can just tell how much love was put into crafting these dishes. In summary, I really enjoyed my experience here. It's kind of a trendy casual spot, but the hospitality was on par with some fine dining establishments and the food was delicious. Eat Well & Travel Often. If you know me, then you know it's one of my life's mottos. And in being true to this guiding principle in my life, I ended up at Spaghetti Western where a friend and I enjoyed an Italian lunch experience that left me really curious about the city's culinary scene. But, as I was just passing thru - I'll have to feed my curiosity if the universe leads me to end up there again. So, parking. It was street parking and I ended up right in front of the restaurant. I don't remember the details like time restrictions as we stopped in to grab a bite then we immediately hit the road. You'll have to read the signs. We walked in to a open and cozy dining area and greeted by a staff member who was attentive, friendly and warm. I'll just say service was impeccable. She was knowledgeable, offered suggestions and appeared as if she could read our minds. As for the food, started off with complimentary house bread. Focaccia - soft and fragrant. That totally set the bar high. Followed by a Caesar Salad that was chilled and crisp - with a creamy savory dressing yet balanced. Then came the main dishes. Pasta prepared like I like it. Al dente - basically a nice satisfying slight chew. Sauce that clung to the pasta - not runny or pooling at the bottom of the dish so that you could taste everything in every bite. I didn't even ask for condiments because all the ingredients were crafted into the dish not lacking anything to satisfy my palate. Italian is one of my favorite cuisines and I'm very fortunate to have experienced an exceptional Italian spot like this in a totally unexpected corner of the world. read more

Monday evening my wife and I and a friend had a very fine evening meal experience at Spaghetti Western. This was our 4th or 5th (?) meal there, and yes, making a reservation is important. One of the draws for us is the very pleasant, personable, helpful staff. We've enjoyed getting to know Pol, and last night we were pleased to again smile at Nathan's warmth. The other attraction is the very tasty food. Quality pastas are in variety, and there are intriguingly unusual "tonight's specials." The soups also are unique and worth coming for themselves. I had seen that a few of my friends posted pictures on their social media about this place so I had to check it out when I was in Fargo. It is such a cute little place down on broadway. The service was good, our waiter was very personable and nice. He gave us plenty of time to review the menu and told us all about that evenings special. I had the Mushroom Prosciutto which was AMAZING! I loved everything about it and all the different kinds of mushrooms that were used, my friend got the Mushroom Risotto, which he also said was very delicious but he said he would definitely order the Mushroom Prosciutto over the Risotto next time. I loved Spaghetti Western. I called and they fit me in but my Uber took forever. They graciously still seated me. Your server can make or break your dining experience and my server Jacob made sure I had a great night. This was especially nice since I was dining solo. Every recommendation he made was fantastic. The Fargo metro area lacks good Italian restaurants. If you want good Italian food, then Spaghetti Western fits the bill. The restaurant is laid out nice and the wine on the racks add flair to the restaurant. But how is the food? It is outstanding! I went with the Montecarlo which is rigatoni with wagyu, sausage, ricotta and nutmeg. It delighted my taste buds and is worthy of being called "Italian food'. Wow, I really enjoyed the Carbonara and found myself thinking about for the next couple of hours. I don't know that I've ever had house-made pasta, and I found the texture to be so good. The pasta itself tasted great but when you add the pancetta (Italian bacon) and the wonderful black pepper egg sauce, it made for an awesome dish. The rest of our table enjoyed their food too, which included Cheese Sauce Penne, Spaghetti Lemon Ricotta and a Gnocchi (that evening's special). We also had the starters of Meatballs and Bruschetta. I'll be honest, when my partner said he wanted to go to "Spaghetti Western," I was picturing off-brand Pizza Ranch. Wow, did I underestimate this place. The service was amazing; our server was very personable and attentive and gave us wonderful Italian tid-bits that really rounded out the experience. Even better than the service was the food! First time here. I learned about Spaghetti Western from Fargo Eats facebook page and many people talking about this place. I almost ordered pasta carbonata, but chose this blue crab pasta instead. It was really good. I only ate a little and sent most of it back with the college kid. The focaccia bread was very soft, and they give you an olive tapanade with olive oil for dipping. Very yummy, the server brought us 2 portions. Spouse and son ordered a rigatoni marinara that was really basic. The tiramisu was super yummy and layered high. More chocolate flavor and not coffee tasting, so perfect. Sent some back with the college kid. Other Bison fans were dining here. I had the sausage mushroom risotto and I'm not sure I'll be able to order something else the next time I go. One of the only places in Fargo you can really tell each element of flavor in the food. Our waiter was Jacob and he was phenomenal. Very attentive and knew the menu well (let me tell you I asked him detailed questions about it). I like how you can tell this place isn't a chain. My only complaint is it is a little small. This is not somewhere to go with a large group. During busy time you will need to wait for a table, so I recommend a reservation. Fantastic food! Superb service! This quaint little restaurant, just down the street from the Fargo Theater, is a go to if you're ever downtown. We went to the restaurant without a reservation, but the hostess said she would be able to get us a table within 20-30 minutes, so we sat it their small lobby and enjoyed a glass of sweet red wine while we waited. After we were seated, we then enjoyed the tasty table focaccia bread, Crudo appetizer special, Grandma's Meat Sauce with homemade pasta and Cheese Sauce with imported Cavatappi pasta.
