**June 2025: Friday Afternoon Visit** My friend and I were driving through Fargo and needed a spot to refuel. I found Spaghetti Western and saw many positive reviews regarding this little Italian spot. We hadn't had Italian so far on this trip so we decided to check it out. We made it at 1pm-ish which was a relief since their weekday lunch hours are from 11:30am-2pm. We were lucky enough to find parking right in front of the restaurant and get seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was super personable and made us feel like we were dining with a friend. We asked her for some must dos in the area, and she was so excited and thoughtful to share. She really took good care of us and it made our dining experience that much better. What we orderedL Caesar Salad ($13) - It had a nice nice anchovy bite to it and the lettuce was very crisp. Gnocchi $20, Cheese $2 - The texture of the gnocchi had a nice chew and the cheese gave it that rich smooth velvety taste to it. Lemon Ricotta $19 - The flavor was very light and subtle The food was outstanding. The pasta all had that al dente taste to it and you can just tell how much love was put into crafting these dishes. In summary, I really enjoyed my experience here. It's kind of a trendy casual spot, but the hospitality was on par with some fine dining establishments and the food was delicious. If you're finishing up your 50 states and heading to Fargo, ND as your last pitstop Spaghetti Western is a great place to celebrate!

Eat Well & Travel Often. If you know me, then you know it's one of my life's mottos. And in being true to this guiding principle in my life, I ended up at Spaghetti Western where a friend and I enjoyed an Italian lunch experience that left me really curious about the city's culinary scene. But, as I was just passing thru - I'll have to feed my curiosity if the universe leads me to end up there again. So, parking. It was street parking and I ended up right in front of the restaurant. I don't remember the details like time restrictions as we stopped in to grab a bite then we immediately hit the road. You'll have to read the signs. We walked in to a open and cozy dining area and greeted by a staff member who was attentive, friendly and warm. I'll just say service was impeccable. She was knowledgeable, offered suggestions and appeared as if she could read our minds. As for the food, started off with complimentary house bread. Focaccia - soft and fragrant. That totally set the bar high. Followed by a Caesar Salad that was chilled and crisp - with a creamy savory dressing yet balanced. Then came the main dishes. Pasta prepared like I like it. Al dente - basically a nice satisfying slight chew. Sauce that clung to the pasta - not runny or pooling at the bottom of the dish so that you could taste everything in every bite. I didn't even ask for condiments because all the ingredients were crafted into the dish not lacking anything to satisfy my palate. Italian is one of my favorite cuisines and I'm very fortunate to have experienced an exceptional Italian spot like this in a totally unexpected corner of the world.

I loved Spaghetti Western. I called and they fit me in but my Uber took forever. They graciously still seated me. Your server can make or break your dining experience and my server Jacob made sure I had a great night. This was especially nice since I was dining solo. Every recommendation he made was fantastic. From the salmon tartare to the Gnocchi Napoleon the flavors were perfecto! The wine list is very good. If you're in Fargo this is a must. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely Devine!! Definitely worth a visit especially if you are looking for some authentic Italian cuisine. Ask for the specials because they're always switching it up and stepping up their culinary game. Good portions, I couldn't eat it all and had to take it to go. Smaller place but makes for a great place for a family or a first date. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Montecarlo (rigatoni with meat, ricotta and nutmeg)
    Mark W.

The Fargo metro area lacks good Italian restaurants. If you want good Italian food, then Spaghetti Western fits the bill. The restaurant is laid out nice and the wine on the racks add flair to the restaurant. But how is the food? It is outstanding! I went with the Montecarlo which is rigatoni with wagyu, sausage, ricotta and nutmeg. It delighted my taste buds and is worthy of being called "Italian food'. This place would make any Italian grandma jealous. You owe it yourself to try Spaghetti Western.

    Panna cotta

I'll be honest, when my partner said he wanted to go to "Spaghetti Western," I was picturing off-brand Pizza Ranch. Wow, did I underestimate this place. The service was amazing; our server was very personable and attentive and gave us wonderful Italian tid-bits that really rounded out the experience. Even better than the service was the food! Light, pillowy gnocchi in deliciously balanced cream sauce, fresh noodles straight out of Nonna's kitchen. And the desserts... not too filling, not too sweet, and some of the best tiramisu I've ever had. I am so glad we stopped in, how lucky are we!

    Carbonara
    John M.

Wow, I really enjoyed the Carbonara and found myself thinking about for the next couple of hours. I don't know that I've ever had house-made pasta, and I found the texture to be so good. The pasta itself tasted great but when you add the pancetta (Italian bacon) and the wonderful black pepper egg sauce, it made for an awesome dish. The rest of our table enjoyed their food too, which included Cheese Sauce Penne, Spaghetti Lemon Ricotta and a Gnocchi (that evening's special). We also had the starters of Meatballs and Bruschetta. And some wine & beer. The service couldn't have been any better, which includes the server, the owner and other staff bringing food & drinks. The place is fairly small and was busy so we waited awhile, but we expected that coming in. The owner brought us a drink menu, to order some drinks while we waited. If you check out the menu on their website, note that it is not entirely accurate. I noticed an updated menu on their Facebook page.

Great new addition to downtown Fargo! Make a reservation! Great menu, go for the house specialties. There is beer and wine! Cheers!

    Caprese salad was delicious!

I travel for work, and based on reviews, I decided to try this, please. Five stars! The service was excellent facility, charming with hardwood floors and high tin ceilings, the Caprese salad was delicious as was the focaccia with olive oil and the mushroom prosciutto homemade pasta was outstanding. If I lived here, I would make this a regular favorite.

The tomato sauce on the gnocchi was probably the best tomato sauce I've ever had. Complimentary house-made focaccia is a nice touch!! We went soon after opening for the evening and service was great, restaurant wasn't too packed (it is a small place). Nice cozy feel for a cold January evening.

    Blue Crab linguini pasta.
    Michelle A.

First time here. I learned about Spaghetti Western from Fargo Eats facebook page and many people talking about this place. I almost ordered pasta carbonata, but chose this blue crab pasta instead. It was really good. I only ate a little and sent most of it back with the college kid. The focaccia bread was very soft, and they give you an olive tapanade with olive oil for dipping. Very yummy, the server brought us 2 portions. Spouse and son ordered a rigatoni marinara that was really basic. The tiramisu was super yummy and layered high. More chocolate flavor and not coffee tasting, so perfect. Sent some back with the college kid. Other Bison fans were dining here. The server was very friendly and promptly topped off waters frequently. We tipped her well. Highly recommend.

    Beef tenderloin special

I don't often leave reviews. However, I was completely blown away by this restaurant the service and the culture was spectacular. The ambience was perfection. And the food was mind blowing. if you come to Fargo and you do not stop by the Spaghetti Western, you are truly missing out.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and genuinely welcoming -- the kind of place where you instantly know you're about to have a great experience. We ordered the seared halibut and the wild acres duck breast, and honestly... I'm still thinking about them. The halibut was perfectly cooked -- tender, delicate, and packed with flavor. The duck was incredible -- rich, balanced, and executed with precision. Every bite felt intentional. And the service? Just as impressive. Attentive, friendly, and natural -- not forced, not rushed -- just real hospitality that made the whole experience even better. It's been a long time since I've had food this memorable. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. I'll definitely be coming back -- and next time, I'm bringing people with me. Highly recommend.
