The spa itself is THREE glorious floors of relaxation, including a salon, ladies' locker room, Caldarium, Himalayan salt room, cold plunge, hot tubs, sauna, treatment rooms, and relaxation areas. Basically, once you enter, there is absolutely no reason to return to society. FYI: a 20% gratuity is automatically included with your treatment fee, but it can be adjusted to your liking. This visit, I tried the 100- minute Lavender Dreams Body Scrub & Massage with Kelly, and OMG. First came the body scrub, which removed approximately 48 years' worth of dead skin cells and left me feeling like I had been issued an entirely new epidermis. Then I rinsed off in their multidimensional futuristic shower, which sprays water from multiple directions and made me feel like I was being pressure-washed--but luxuriously. Then came the massage.. Kelly started by pressing warm sachets filled with lavender buds and marine salt along the meridian points of my body, and from there... my memory gets a little fuzzy. I'm pretty sure I died. I may have briefly seen heaven. All I know is that every ounce of tension left my body, my soul apparently exited the premises, and the next thing I remember was waking up feeling ridiculously refreshed. Apparently what I really needed was a massage-induced power nap. Thank you, Kelly. I have no idea what happened in that room, but please do it again. Lavender Dreams has officially earned a spot in my regular treatment rotation. I've also had many massages here with Shauna, who is absolutely spectacular. If you're staring at the treatment menu suffering from spa decision paralysis, the Wine Down Massage and All About You Facial are also sure winners. For facials, Danielle is my go-to. Sixteen years later, Spa Toscana remains one of my happy places. Come early, stay late, use ALL the amenities, and prepare to temporarily forget that you have responsibilities. 10/10. I've had massages before, but never just for me head, neck and shoulders.... WOW! After removing upper body clothing and slipping into the comfy towel I climbed into the warm soft bed, they placed a warm mask over my eyes and then the magic began. Massage, warm water, wash, massage, light scrub, more massage, more light scrub, (what are these magical tools they are using on my scalp?) I could feel it all the way down to my toes. Total bliss and relaxation (did I just catch myself doing a little snore!?) When all was finished and sadly the tranquility had to come to an end, we got to see the "after" magnified visual of my scalp, it was crystal clean (I really did look like a beautiful crystal frozen lake... weird I know) I can't say enough about the experience. Jessica was my gal and she showed me my scalp under the microscope. I got into my spa wrap and cuddled up under the blanket. Jessica pampered me with an exfoliation, scrub, scalp massage, shampooing, mask, and neck/shoulder massage. I got dressed and we looked at my scalp under the microscope again and it did look a lot less congested. She gave me a quick blow dry and I was on my way. My scalp feels refreshed and renewed. The spa also offers other skin care treatments that I may look into for the future.

We used SpaFinder giftcards from Costco where it's two $50 gift cards for $80, which Spa Atlantis accepts. Despite the giftcards stating that you must print them out, electronic copies are accepted. They do tell you to arrive ahead of your massage appointment so that they can give you a tour and get you situated. At the check-in desk, they asked for robe and shoe size. They then lead you to the locker room to put your stuff in. The lockers are quite spacious so you can bring many things, including your clothes, shoes, and something to do like reading a book. Overall, the spa is very clean and well kept. They have everything you need to get ready in the locker/bathroom area, including brushes, combs, hair styling products, curling irons, blow dryers, Q-tips. They also offer a salt scrub. They have four showers you can use, including an accessible one. The interesting thing to note about the showers is that one of the non-accessible showers does have a bend to it so that if you are nervous about someone walking into your shower for whatever reason, that is the shower to use. That shower is to the right side next to the accessible shower. They did have a sauna and a steam room in the locker area. They also have a changing area in the locker area. There is also a waiting area for your massage located in this locker area. In the waiting area, they do have some snack snacks. The snacks at the time we went included a trail mix, pretzels, with chocolate, chocolate dip, macaroons (these were so delicious), fruits (banana, bananas, pears, apples), and drink drinks (coffee, infused water, tea, water bottles). As for the massages, it seemed that the massage therapist came out about five minutes earlier than the appointment time, so it is probably best to be there just a little over five minutes before your scheduled appointment time in the waiting area. My massage therapist escorted me to a room within the spa. The massage room was very comfortable with dim lighting, and I believe they had sort of a water fountain, which was quite relaxing to hear in the background. My massage therapist was very professional and thorough with her questions to ask what were my target areas and issues. She was also very communicative with me and let me know which areas she was unable to work on due to tension in my muscles. I did end up learning more about how being ticklish is a sign of tension in a muscle, and I went down a research rabbit hole about how perhaps the deep tissue massage I opted for may not have been the best fit for that area. I am glad my massage therapist felt empowered and comfortable to communicate that with me. I could see how the massage therapist telling a client that they won't be able to work on them due to tension could be upsetting for some clients, but I was very appreciative for her feedback. There is also a warm seating area that's kind of like a sauna. It has a tiled seating area. There is also a brine room that is dark with a water fountain and different types of lights that promote different types of healing. It is very easy to nap in the brine room as it is comfortable and quiet. You can basically take any lounge chair that has a folded blanket on there because that indicates that the staff have "cleaned" it. There is also a warm pools and cold plunge area that is covered by glass, so that you're not exposed to outdoor elements with the exception of some sun. In this area, they also have a relaxing shower that has many settings that you can choose from including "relaxing" and "balancing." This shower does play some calming music and has nice lights as well. The warm pools are heated to 98°F and 101°F. In this outdoor area, they also have cold, rolled towels and sliced cucumbers for you to use. They also have clean towels. Just like the brine room, if you see, there is a smooth towel on the seat or lounger, that indicates the staff have "cleaned" the seat. You also have access to the pools area - there is one indoor pool area with a nice waterfall backdrop and one outdoor pool area. You can order food from a phone and they will bring it out to you and you pay when they deliver your food. They're also seems to be an outdoor drink stand. You can purchase drinks from the pool area is very nice as it had many loungers. There are no lifeguards on duty for any of the pool areas. The pool area is also accessible to general hotel guests. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We ended up spending about 6 hours in total at the spa, which is more than I expected! Overall, I would totally come back.

The locker area, salt and relaxing room were not as nice as Spa Toscana either. They also do not accept Spa Finder gift cards which is what we usually use for our spa trips as well. I'd call it a "no frills" location, but also not the most basic set-up I've been to. The option was for a regular or deep tissue massage (adds a small upcharge). I chose deep tissue, and unlike some places where that means 1/3 deep tissue, 2/3 general Swedish, the massage therapist really worked hard the entire time. The technique combined some careful back walking (I'm pretty sure it was padded "kneel walking"), stretching, and more generic deep tissue techniques. I heard my back crack (in a good way) in three places right at the start. There were lots of opportunities to give feedback on more or less pressure. Will definitely be back! TIP: The reception up front is where you check in, but if both therapists are working, there isn't a dedicated receptionist, so there might be a delay making phone reservations.
