I had high hopes for this spa but I was not impressed with the massage I got. The package I got was for an exfoliation followed by a massage. My masseuse wasn't exactly sure what he was supposed to do for the exfoliation part which seemed somewhat unprofessional. And the massage was not great. He used very low pressure so it didn't really help soothe any tension I had and it was almost the same as not having a massage at all. Also for most of the massage, he wasn't really moving his hands, just stayed in one area and lightly pressed without moving and then moved to the next area. I left feeling like I didn't really get a massage. Maybe some of the other masseuses are much better but I didn't really have a great experience here. The waiting area and lobby are nice though.

I highly recommend this spa. We were staying at Atlantis and was hoping to use the spa there, but they were booked. Thankfully, I found West Spa. The prices are better first of all, and I can only assume that's because it's not in the casinos because this spa is VERY nice. We went for my fiances 35th birthday for the couples massage. I added on the private changing/relaxation room(absolute must) champagne, and a fruit platter. We both chose the sierra aromatherapy massage, and added the CBD oil and scalp massage. Anna was my massage therapist, and she was absolutely lovely. I am on blood thinners and need my massage to be very gentle, and she did everything spot on. It was very relaxing and I could tell she has excellent experience. My fiance had a gentleman (didn't catch his name), but he had a fantastic experience with him as well. Overall this spa is a hidden gem, and I am so happy we found it. They also have a great shopping selection with tons of Moroccan Oil products (my favorite). Skip the casinos and come here for sure.

DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible. Went to see Jen to turn my dirty blonde hair platinum blonde. I showed Jen pictures of exactly what I wanted and told her I wanted to keep my roots natural. She didn't listen to ANYTHING that I wanted, put product all the way to my scalp, rushed the entire process, never told me what she was doing, made me get up and move to another part of the salon while she gossiped and cut another man's hair, and my hair came out GREY. Not platinum. I realize this could have been an excessive misuse of toner, but when they grey washed out, my hair was the exact same, you could clearly see the root growth line that should've disappeared with the platinum job. I went home and cried. Overpriced and underdelivered. Save your money for a place that actually cares, is respectful, and gives you what you want.

I went on Saturday the 17th to get a facial with Courtney when she was applying the peel my face was hurting which I told her she kept rubbing my face with her hands. While I was driving home I saw blotches all over my face. By Sunday my face felt like a sand paper and it started peeling. Then I saw a black burn spot on my cheek. Now my face is wrinkled from the dryness. Do not let this woman touch your face.

It was such a nice treat to be here since I hadn't been here to Spa Toscana since before Covid with a group of my friends from work. We checked in and I was called back by Karla almost immediately for my 50 minute signature massage. Karla was very friendly, kept my robe warm while she worked her magic on my knots. I felt like melted butter when I retired to the tranquility room. I was surprised to see how busy it was for a Monday afternoon, but happy to see they steadily busy. We took advantage of the steam room, snacks, tea and a few amenities before calling it a day and returning to our families. Thank you Karla and to my bestie for such a sweet birthday gift. We'll see you again in August to celebrate my bestie's birthday. Tip: They offer a local discount if you go during the week. I don't believe they offer it on Fridays, but do call ahead to confirm.

I scheduled a deep tissue massage (last minute, I'm sorry to the spa), but my therapist was Jackie. I'm not kidding when I tell you it was the best massage of my life. It is my birthday month, hence we've been here many times this February, and I am revisiting Jackie. I literally told her I loved her after my massage. Lol Moving forward, I called a few days ago to schedule (not trying to last minute this one) and I asked for Jackie and my same treatment. The spa was so accommodating and Jackie was available. #happy We used to always stay at Atlantis, and I would spa there while the hubby skis, but when we started this Peppermill spa and casino, YES! I'm so in love with the experiences I have here. That's why we are back next week ;) Thank you Spa Toscana, Peppermill and Jackie most of all! I will be back again, for sure.

It was described on their…read morewebsite as a: Side-by-side treatment with softening soak and scrub, followed by nail care, trimming, buffing, and gel polish. Includes a bar beverage and a chocolate lava cake. Most of that was true, but I have to admit it was the chocolate lava cake that secured the appointment, because my mom is a chocoholic... and it was the chocolate lava cake that was neither offered, nor received. The staff was lovely and the nail technicians were competent, but the overall vibe was lacking. If there was music on, it was too low to hear. The central view was of a wall hanging fountain that was dirty and had a power cord hanging over the top of it. We opted out of gel polish, for personal reasons, and were fairly astounded at the slim pickings for regular polish... not even a basic, classic red was available (and that's what we were there for, at Christmastime). Lastly, because there were appointments stacked right behind us, understandably at the time of year, we were dismissed in flip flops. I was surprised there weren't drying lights available to us to wait under until our polish dried, in another area so the pedicure chairs could be evacuated and made ready for the next customers. It felt very slipshod to be walking my 75+yo mom out of the resort, in December, in barefoot and sandals. Because she was cold, she put her shoes on before exiting and messed up her polish. I know this isn't exactly the fault of the nail salon, but had we been given drying options, it wouldn't have happened. I was asked by the spa, afterward, in an automatic text form, to review my experience. I filled out a review, but I exceeded the allotted characters and was only able to address the lack of chocolate, promised in the price of the service, and the shortage of standard color options in the regular polish selections. It's been eleven days since our appointments, I understand Christmas happened between then and now and took that into account, but I have been surprised that no one reached out to address my dissatisfaction in the pricey package. Had I been contacted by the spa to simply acknowledge my concerns, I would have kept my review private.

This lounge area is also where the massage staff come to pick you up for your appt. Once you leave the locker rooms they have so many coed areas for you to access. Himalayan salt room that is pretty big. Cushioned loungers and heated bench areas with lighting that changes. Very quiet and relaxing. The Laconian relaxation room is a bit smaller. There's a beautifully well lit area due to all the windows that has two hot tubs, shower area, and cold plunge. Seating in this area is a bit limited when crowded. Decent number of loungers and some chairs, but it can get busy. Additionally you can access the fitness center and pool areas. We like to go early to enjoy the amenities and we enjoyed the hot tub area which was only for 21+ but the rest of the pool/hot tub areas were extremely loud with children. You can't beat their locals (and CA residents) get 35% off in Dec-March Sunday through Thursday. For a 25 minute "grand sampler" massage and entrance to their day spa all day I only paid 60$ plus tip and tax. Their day spa is so nice! It's modern and decorated in a tranquil teal color (my fave). It's a 9 hour escape from my kids and normal life and it's never too busy here. They have a co Ed relaxation room, HUGE co Ed spa that's the size of a small swimming pool, separate ladies spa, ladies lounge , ladies eucalyptus steam room and ladies dry sauna. What more could you want?! Feedback for improving- they used to have overhead rain showers now they have wall shower heads. Bring those back! They used to have a mist you can spray while you shower to fill the shower with eucalyptus and lavender. It used to be chained to the shower wall. They don't have those anymore. Bring those back! They used to give you one complimentary mimosa when you arrived. No more. Bring those back! Also, my shower suddenly went extremely cold when someone flushed the toilet. That needs to be worked on for sure. My robe was supposed to be a white or ivory on the inside. I know from experience. But the one I got must have been washed on hot and the dark color bled and made the inside look just grungy. That's an easy fix for them. Even with the above I'll keep coming back and rating it 5 stars for atmosphere and local appreciation.
