I had never had a Brazilian Wax and was quite nervous about the whole experience. I mean wax, down there? I just knew I'd cry. But I didn't. In fact, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, thanks to Vanessa. I told her it was my first time and she walked me through the whole process, step by step always letting me know what was going on before proceeding. It was great, I didn't feel anxious or rushed at all. I was super pleased with the results, and honestly the second one was even easier than the first! You really end up just chatting through your session to the point of almost not noticing the wax coming off. Plus they use a hard wax which doesn't require strips, and therefore doesn't pull your skin, just the hair. Huge plus!! The rest: In terms of decor, they've got a chic boutique feel going on. Everything is super clean and nicely lit. There are little samples in the waiting area if you are curious about some of their scrubs. It's very easy to make appointments, and I love that I get confirmations for booking in a text and email. Can't wait to try the other services!

I booked with the owner who was kind to share there was an upcoming special so I booked my appointment on the day of the special she had running. Thank GOD for the special because they are a bit pricey, imo but it is worth the coins. Arrived early and was able to get a tour by the receptionist (didn't get her name) showed me around everything was clean, well organized and a vibe. My service was compression therapy with Camille and apparently I'm a G (self-titled) because I was told after my session that most first timers are recommended to get 45 mins -- mine was 1hr. The therapy was like a combo of detox, massage with applied pressure and HIGH heat. It has low, medium and high setting mind you you're wrapped up and drenched from head to toe when you're done. What I loved most was the attentiveness and care Camille took with me. Explaining everything. Made me feel comfortable. Checked in on me during the session. Helped me get fluids in (because you can't move that much with the wraps). Camille is truly so sweet and I would love to do future sessions with her. Lol But omggg I had a massage last night and my upper back, lower back and actually allll the back has been hurting so bad since having my most recent baby and the epidural. Sijay worked her magic and I am hurting in the best way today. Lol you know that good sore you get when you have the best leg day in the gym? That's the comparison. She literally worked out all the knots, and while I'm a little sore today...I feel so much better and my back feels so loose. Well I have been a long time customer of Ashley's and every time I try a new service I am hooked! It all started with eyelash extensions. I won't go into too much detail because that's on my review on Salon Shag so I will just say one word about her eyelash extension work......FABULOUS!!!!!! Now I am happy to say, that I have had the pleasure to experience a full range of Ashley's services. Facials, waxing, and make up application have been recently tried (along with my bi-monthly lash appointments) and I love them all! Ashley did my makeup for a huge family event and everyone loved it! I LOVED IT!!! It was beautifully noticeable but not heavy or gaudy or too much for a family day event. Ashley is definitely an artist and knows how to tailor your look for your event. Waxing....well...waxing is waxing right? NO!!!! Whatever it is....her technique, her wax, whatever...it is not painful and I never am irritated or red after wards (FYI I get my brows and upper lip done). Now on to my favorite service of all.... a FACIAL! Relaxing, thorough, glowing, refreshing are a few of the words I think of when I think of the microdermabrasion facial I got today. Another fabulous service and another addiction! I love Ashley!
