I admit it was painful sometimes, but that's because of the way I'm living lol, but afterwards I felt GREAT! I should've done this long ago. I tried talking to the front desk and reaching them via e-mail months ago. I received a massage that was stressful than relaxing. In the beginning of the massage, there were some misunderstanding on what type of massage I wanted. The main issue is that on the weekend, none of them knew how to speak English to the point they could not understand me. The masseuse was actually nice at first and I asked her about which massage I am doing and she nicely went to the front desk lady to ask. The front desk lady sounded so ANGRY and almost mean at the masseuse even thought I could not hear what she was saying. Whatever I said even when I complimented that this was my favorite massage place. The masseuse stopped massaging me and turned on the light. She showed me a paper and says "You chose this massage". Completely not what I was talking about. She would be aggressive with the massage by snapping my leg down. Also she might have thought I was asleep when she just lightly glided her fingers NOT massaging me. I then told her "I can't feel anything". After the massage I spoke to the front desk lady. I kid you not she looked SO mean and glared at me the whole time. I can tell that she didn't know what I was saying. I won't be coming back again because they failed to respond to their horrific customer service. My body felt... you know what. Do not go here. The whole experience was very underwhelming. Front desk was noisy people chatting and laughing right outside of the massage area. Even though they have the sigh "Please lower your voice" Front desk person gave a weird vibe she walked me to my room and said "you know what to do right?" I was quite shocked and stunt for a few seconds. Then she proceeded to say "ok take off your clothes face down" How awkward asking your client that question. Yes I have been to various places but I still respect each place's individual routine. What a lazy question. She did not even bother to ask me how I would like my massage. Felt extremely transactional and not relaxing as it should be. Regarding my massage therapist, bless her heart she was sweet but the massage was terrible. She couldn't follow my request accordingly. She didn't even massage my hand as I asked for. She also hurt me by pressuring my bones instead of muscle but then no enough pressure on the problem areas. I can't speak for the other massage therapists but I can 100% vouched for AJ. Been here 3 times and it just keeps getting better. I don't know about yall but I've had tension and knotts where it caused painful migraines. If you ever had one, it's at a level 10 where you can't even put food down. It. Was. Bad. AJ really dug into my neck and shoulders and did her best to navigate the knotts, it relieved so much pain. Never been more grateful to have crossed paths! She's amazing. Today, as I was walking into this establishment to reschedule my service, a man driving a big blue truck drove in front of my walking path. He abruptly stopped and stayed there. No parking was there for him. I began to walk around the truck but the driver kept backing up, pulling forward, and truly I think he was being a racist. I finally was able to walk around the back of his truck. Before I could even really get passed he heavily accelerated on the gas and drove his truck backwards and it was too close for comfort. I walked away upset but then I saw him go into the massage lobby. I followed and I rescheduled my appointment. The driver had already gone to the massage room. I confronted what looked like his daughter but was his wife (as she explained)* and told her that her dad or husband was driving really aggressively and it's not ok because he could have hurt me. He should know that. She held up a triple six sign and smirked and told me to have a nice day. I asked the lobby worker if there were cameras, she said no, couldn't even make eye contact with me. Then she chuckled. I want to cancel my appointment but they will charge the entire fee . I feel extremely uncomfortable getting a massage here and as an African Amerikkkan* woman, I will not return. I've been going to Ch'Chada for a few years and have seen several therapists, but Noon really stands out. She's intuitive, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled. She understands how the muscular system connects and knows exactly which areas to work on to release tension elsewhere. Her pressure is great, and she actually allows you to breathe during compressions, which makes the massage much more comfortable and effective. Her name starts with letter "J" and ends with letter "e". She only works Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday as of recent. But I don't want you to know who she is so I'll refer to her as "J" from here on. All day yesterday I had a sharp pain on my upper back from sleeping weird. With a little movement to certain angle, a very sharp pain ran through my body. All I could think about during work was that I need to book an appointment with "J". So today, I got 90min Combination Massage by "J". Her technique hit every spot that needs to be taken care of. My back pain was gone. Just like that. My back felt so great that I left her 40% tip with the front desk. The place is bit pricey compared to surrounding Thai Massage place, but you get clean private space with massage table that can accomodate huge person like me (I'm 6ft tall.) Plus they have "J". What a lucky find! I had an unfortunate experience at the beach that resulted in pain in my right leg. I thought I had aggravated an old hip flexor injury. But the pain was radiating all around my leg from my hip flexor to my hamstring and down to my calf. It hurt to sit, lie down and walk. Add to that, I was about to head out for another cross country business trip the next day. Agony!!! My husband did a little research and found Ch'Chada who wonderfully had a same day appointment available. I'm always pretty tense and my muscles are always achy so massages are essential, but I don't have time to get them often. I've had a Thai massage before so I was happy to book a session, knowing that a deep tissue massage would be fairly uncomfortable. Thai massages are definitely not for people who don't like hard pressure. They really get in there. My massage therapist was skilled and strong! I also hadn't realized that I was still pretty flexible, lol. An hour after I arrived, I left slightly sore, but with a less prominent limp. I wasn't sure if it worked or if I made it worse. But the following day as I was walking through the airport, I noticed that my leg wasn't painful anymore, it had downgraded to soreness. I didn't think it was possible, but the day after that, I had no trouble walking through city streets and up and down stairs. Miracle workers! I was looking for a new massage place and came across this one on Yelp. My mom and I went today and we fell in love! I was so relaxed I fell asleep. We got the combo massage since we are newcomers. Couple days ago, I had a sharp needle pain on my right thigh and cold hardly walk. It was like sharp needle poking every times I changed my positions. My friend recommended me to have a massage therapist, At first, I was hesitating cause it was so painful to touch it , but then it was getting worsen. So, I finally went to see A.J for the first time. She checked my thigh and started working on it about 15-20 minute. It was pain for the first ten minutes then I felt somewhat less pain right after massage. I took Tylenol and rest after I got home. This place is exquisite. I love the calming vibe when you walk through the door. I was immediately greeted by the front desk and after paying, she walked me back to my room for my 60 minute prenatal massage with AJ. It was (hands down) the best massage I have ever had. She knew exactly where my tension spots were and focused on those areas. The massage tables had a low level heating pad underneath at the perfect temperature. I would recommend booking through Yelp so you are able to choose the masseuse of your choice (if that's a preference). I believe if you book on their website, you don't get to see which masseuse you'll get and it requires a card to be on file to confirm your reservation. If you can pay and tip in cash, that would be the best so you can get a small discount. It looks like they've been reading reviews and don't require you to tip upfront before service anymore. I like that the business doesn't keep the tips to themselves and puts your tip in a separate envelope for the masseuse. They also offer gift cards and massage packages which is obviously a good deal if you can afford to pay that upfront. I had been having a painful stiff neck for a few days and finally decided to get a massage to smooth out the kinks causing my pain. I stopped to check for availability after another appointment and luckily they were free. I got a whole body deep tissue massage for 60 minutes, which included a lot of manipulation: it felt like my joints were being pulled apart but in a good way. I imagined being put in those Thai dancer positions because my arms and feet were bending in ways I would call unusual. The room was darkened to relax you but not creep you out, the massage table itself was toasty warm and comfortable. After a massage I usually feel disoriented and slightly confused plus very burp-y.
