The first lady's massage was fine, but she kept talking the entire time about how bad the economy is, how she wants to retire, and how she doesn't think the massage place is going to last much longer because it's been so slow. Not exactly relaxing Mid-massage, she received a phone call from what I'm assuming was a regular client. After telling him she wasn't available until later, she then said "okay, just come in," and switched my masseuse for the last hour of my appointment. The second girl was terrible. I don't mind talking if the massage is actually good, but this wasn't a massage at all. She was basically just shaking me and lightly caressing me the entire time. I asked for harder and stronger pressure multiple times and she never adjusted. I was extremely frustrated. To make things worse, she ended my massage 10 minutes early. Loved the traditional recliners for reflexology and something that really worked for me was that they had the front and back doors open so the air could flow freely (good feng shui) and the temp was cool and really perfect with the light blanket they place on you. I came here because it is close to long beach airport. Only like a 15 min drive. Just a straight shot. . I did a one hr foot massage for 45 bucks. It was worth it because they use great pressure when I asked for more deep tissue and she did. The shoulder massage was my favorite and the neck massage. Since it was just a one hour foot massage, we just sit in the communal chairs in the massage area with others. When I went on a Monday afternoon, it was just me. . Pay cash because card does have a fee. So I did cash and save the 5 percent charge. . Overall if I'm flying out long beach and if I need a massage I will be back since when I left my foot felt light. Horrible service, double booking on us and other clients at the same time. The owner asked us if we could wait 30 mins due to their incompetence of booking. I told her I rather not since we don't live in the area and there's nothing to do around there. My therapist got great pressures. However, she kept on going in and out in between my service. My therapist shorted me 10 mins. It was terrible! It was pretty bright in the foot massage area, had to ask them to shut the front door. When we were done, they demanded tip even though I was shorted on time. We tipped more than enough, and the woman still looked unhappy. Not sure how they're staying in business. What a nice gem to have in the neighborhood! I was searching for a massage place closer to my new home and found this one nearby. I desperately needed a shoulder and back massage after being four months postpartum. My sister and I both loved our masseuse and left the place feeling refreshed. My masseuse was able to get out the several knots and muscle tightness I had. Additionally, I left my necklace there and remembered the next day. I visited FB Massage Spa seeking a neck, shoulder, and back massage, but the staff recommended a full body massage instead. I communicated clearly to her that I did not want any foot massages at the start of the session. Despite this, she still proceeded to massage my feet, and even after I repeatedly asked her to stop and told her that I am ticklish, she continued. At the end of the massage, she returned with a towel to wipe down my body, it was uncomfortably hot. I told her immediately that it was too hot, but she proceeded to use the rough towel anyway. Absolutely unacceptable experience. I had an appointment booked, arrived on time, and still ended up being kicked out because the owner double-booked my time slot. There was only one other customer there, but somehow we both had the same appointment time. Instead of handling it professionally, the owner kept insisting the other customer never called -- until that customer literally showed her call history to prove otherwise. At that point, instead of taking responsibility for the scheduling error, the owner just let the other woman go in and told me to leave. No apology, no offer to reschedule, nothing. Just completely unprofessional behavior and zero respect for my time. This place clearly doesn't know how to manage bookings or treat customers with basic courtesy. The prices are super reasonable and I bought a membership card with them for $80 which gives an extra $5 off of the regular massage. On the day before Mother's Day I called to see if they did prenatal massages and they said they had a women who was experienced in giving prenatal massages. I made an appointment for the same day The place is really nice and felt clean so I thought that it was a big plus. When the massage started the lady was really nice and got all the pillows set up so that I was comfortable. But in terms of the massage it was not my favorite. The whole time I didn't ever feel like I was being massaged. I mainly felt like she was jsut rubbing lotion of my body. I have had many massages in my life and I don't think I would come back here. I'm picky with "foot massages" and usually don't enjoy the cheaper places because the massage therapists use too much elbows and are rough. I'm not a fan of rough or too tight of kneading. For my foot massage, The male therapist I had was very good! I told him areas I wanted him to avoid. He focused on my shoulders and neck and I felt a great difference when I was done. Excellent job and technique he had. I originally yelped this place and saw that they were clean, and they were in fact clean. You have to also do a questionnaire when you sign in. There's 3 types of massages: foot, body, and body+specific focus areas. Pricing is pretty fair with good value. The host upon arrival was very friendly and professional, this is a plus as he explains things clearly. There are maybe about 6 chairs and 4 rooms for full Body massages. This place tends to be brighter than other massage places I've been to, or maybe because the back door was open that brought a lot of light in. Also for half of my massage there was cooking and banter I could hear from out back or the restaurant next door. There was also some vehicle movement and unloading. Easy fix would be to keep the back door closed. There's a restroom in the back for clients and plenty of parking on this Ralph's plaza. Full body hour massage - Really wanted a good massage. I was in the area again so I gave it another try and It wasn't worth it. I paid a lot for a rub down with oil no real massaging/kneading. I also felt like way too much oil was used. It was uncomfortable. I did get a few seconds of actual massage around my neck and head which felt great but other than that it wasn't good. I bought a Groupon for a 60 min foot massage. Its more expensive to pay on Groupon than going in and paying. I had Groupon bucks that I needed to spend so I used it. For the massage it was very relaxing and I even snored during the foot massage...now why the 3 stars..this is why: 1. U are always sitting upright. Many foot massage places, they lie me down on my back on a chair with my clothes on for comfort. 2. They don't spend a lot time on neck or arm. They start on arms and massage your neck while against your back is against the chair and ur neck against the chair. Which in some places I would get a whole head, neck, shoulder, upper back, and arm massage before the foot leg massage. 3. They never do the back, your lower back or the back of your legs. Really disappointed I know it's a 60 min foot massage but all the places I've gone for a foot massage includes all the above. She noticed I was a bit cold and brought in a space heater for me. It was so thoughtful! I enjoy deep/hard massages and she definitely had the strength. She let me know to tell her if it was ever too hard. I never fall asleep during massages, but I caught myself falling asleep a few times because I was so relaxed. Been meaning to write this review for a while. Went here 3 times with my friend. First two times we just ok. Third time, we totally felt pressured to upgrade from the initial massage we picked and was discouraged to keep the lower priced service we selected. When we insisted on keeping the lower priced service, I felt like they wanted to penalize us by giving us one of the worst massages we've ever had. Based on excellent yelp review, I decided to give a shot here and turned out great. Last minute appointment were granted without any issues. Initial observations is that store is clean and quiet with enough privacy (unlike other Chinese massage places where noise can be a big issue). Store manager Steve was friendly and explained the different options that they have. Shirley was my therapist. She's friendly and professional. She worked on my area of concerns and I felt better afterwards. UPDATE: Went back here tonight for our anniversary. We called around 18:20 and asked if there was any openings for tonight, luckily, they were able to fit us in at 18:50. We requested for a couples massage and they agreed. We get there around 18:53 and we're greeted at the door. We were then lead to individual rooms. After verifying with the front desk lady that we requested for a couples room they stated that there are still people in there and will have to go into the individual. We opted to wait till the couples room was available. The room was very clean and neat when we got in. As per my last review, the same guy was in today and I wanted to make sure I got a female therapist so I picked the table that she was at last time. Luckily, I did the female therapist and my boyfriend got the male. The massage itself was very good. We both enjoyed it. However, the atmosphere could of been improved. Throughout the massage, the therapists kept speaking in another language and giggling. We weren't sure if they were talking about us or not, but it did make the atmosphere a little awkward. Also, the male therapist would continuously bump into my bed or me whenever he came by to grab something from the table. We had to pay upfront prior to the massage and when my boyfriend asked for change for a 20 in order to top the lady at the front desk took the 20 and just said she would divide it among them. I'm in shock that this place has as many good reviews as it does. This was by FAR the worst massage of my life. I asked for a deep tissue massage with hot stones and I can not explain how aggressively fast he was giving the massage the entire time, he was going so fast I lost count of how many times he hit me in the head when massaging my back. Not only that, but he left the door open while I was lying naked on the bed for more than half of the massage. At one point he put a towel on my head and was aggressively using his forearm ON my head and then switched to his ELBOW. When I asked him to stop he said okay and kept going I had to tell him multiple times to stop. I almost walked out several times. I left feeling more pain than when I arrived. I literally thought I was getting punked because half way through the relaxing spa music turned off and I kid you not Snoop Dog started playing.
